World-Class TCO Stillwater Location Opening Fall 2021

Our Stillwater Story goes back generations. For over 40 years, we’ve been serving families in the community, and we’re incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built. What’s amazing is that the best is yet to come.

In fall 2021, we are opening a state-of-the-art orthopedic sports medicine and sports performance center across the street from Stillwater High School, along Stillwater Boulevard in Oak Park Heights. A ground-breaking ceremony will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on September 17th.

To celebrate the new facility, we’ve launched a marketing campaign featuring real patients who want to share their journeys in hopes of motivating and inspiring others who may face similar obstacles. Our first feature is Reid Ballantyne, a 4-time state champion wrestler from Stillwater High School who dreams of becoming a rare 5-time state champ.

Reid’s Story

Becoming a 5-time state champion is a feat only a handful of wrestlers have ever accomplished in Minnesota. But during his sophomore season, chasing his third title on the quest for five, the unthinkable happened. With just weeks before the state tournament, Reid tore the meniscus in his knee. Luckily, his coach recommended he go to Twin Cities Orthopedics.

The injury occurred on a Friday night, and by Sunday he was walking out of surgery. Two weeks later, he won his third straight title. Now a four-time champion, Reid’s dream is still alive thanks to the support he received from TCO.

As Reid likes to point out, “you have to be a little crazy” to be a wrestler, which is what makes his incredible story all the more fitting.

Rick’s Story

Rick’s played more than 100 rounds of golf this year. The best part – leaving the cart behind. Thanks to his knee replacement at TCO, Rick is back to enjoying the game he loves – the way he loves it. But it took an injury on his dream vacation to get there.

While golfing some of the world’s top courses in Ireland, Rick slipped, fell, and landed on his knee. The same knee that had been giving him problems for years! When Rick returned home to Stillwater, he could no longer walk his favorite course without excruciating pain. That was the final straw.

As a Stillwater resident for 30 years, Rick has trusted TCO in the past and was “completely confident” he’d once again receive exceptional care. Less than a year later, he was back in action. Playing more rounds than ever, and playing better than before.

Trusted Care, Stillwater Approved

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to your health care, which is why we’re deepening our roots in the community.

Our new, state-of-the-art facility will bring more services and expanded expertise to you and your loved ones. Our hope is that if you need treatment or follow-up care, you’ll continue to choose TCO as your trusted orthopedic and sports medicine expert.

You deserve the best, and we want to bring it to you.

It’s that simple at TCO.

Building Stillwater’s Next Generation

We hope the expanded service offerings and modern accommodations will make Stillwater a premier destination for orthopedic care, as well as a hub for sports performance training.

In addition to an orthopedic clinic, the facility will offer physical therapy, hand therapy, advanced MRI and CT imaging scanners, and walk-in orthopedic urgent care from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week.

Our sports performance amenities include 8,000 square feet of athletic turf and training space, incline ramp, batting cage, basketball court, and weight room, serving athletes and active adults of all ages and abilities.

Our Stillwater orthopedic clinic at 1701 Curve Crest Boulevard and Stillwater physical therapy location next to Kowalski’s will remain open during construction of the new facility.
