Health Quotient, powered by TCO, is dedicated to supporting employers and employees through education, prevention, and treatment of work-related injuries. We focus care on health-related issues that affect productivity and profitability as well as the wellbeing of management and employees. Our goal is to work closely with our employer partners to reduce work related injuries, minimize lost time, and decrease or eliminate worker compensation costs.
Physical evaluations are appropriate tools to help place qualified individuals in the right work environment. Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) helps companies determine if a candidate can handle the physical requirements of the essential job functions. Tailored to the specific needs of your company, utilizing POET testing ensures companies are hiring candidates that meet physical requirements of the job.
Health Quotient POET’s are tailored to the specific needs of your company. We leverage a battery of tests including the BTE technology to help clients ensure candidates can physically handle the specific requirements of their job to safeguard companies from hiring their next injuries.
Our process is validated, tracked, and defensible in court. Each POET is compliant with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Drastically reduce workplace injuries, workers’ compensation claims, and health insurance claims with an Early Symptom Intervention (ESI) wellness program.
Implementing an ESI program at your company allows your organization to be proactive and not reactive. Health Quotient’s ESI program encourages and supports early detection of issues rather than late reporting of claims. The goal is to implement a detailed plan to intervene early, keep soreness to a minimum, and prevent the need for medical care beyond first aid. These steps prevent OSHA recordables, maximizing worker productivity, and minimizing the effect of soreness on the workers life.
Onsite risk assessments are the first step a business can take to reduce risks and hazards that contribute to costly musculoskeletal disorders around the workplace. When implemented properly, risk assessments work to identify, analyze, evaluate, and prioritize any risk from exposure to ergonomic risks associated with specific job tasks. Regular risk assessments have been shown to lead to a happier workforce, higher productivity, and more opportunities for profit.
Work conditioning is a bridge program between normal physical therapy and return to work and focuses on increasing injured workers’ physical capacity specifically related to their job specific demands. Health Quotient’s comprehensive work conditioning program applies a therapy-based approach to address mobility, strength, endurance, and work simulation while educating the patient on proper lifting mechanics and injury prevention methods.
Each program will be customized by the therapist and the work conditioning team to optimize the rehab process for each participant. Our team’s goal is to help the injured worker return to work with more confidence, strength, and overall conditioning to perform their job safely.
A functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a set of tests, practices, and observations that assist in determining an individual’s ability to function in a variety of circumstances. These tests are objective and most commonly used in employment return to work scenarios. These evaluations are part of the healing process for an injured worker and provide data that shows where the worker is with their recovery at that moment. This information allows the parties involved to make an informed decision as to the next steps.
Health Quotient provides the most advanced functional testing available with a state-of-the-art BTE EvalTech computerized testing system. The BTE EvalTech computerized testing system provides an objective, reliable, and legally defensible documentation measurement of function following an injury. The FCE detail can be used to identify and target specific physiological deficit areas, which can be beneficial to the treating provider on medical treatment direction and intervention.
