Regenerative Medicine

We use the latest innovations to treat a variety of conditions and injuries

The regenerative medicine program at Twin Cities Orthopedics offers outpatient, image-guided, minimally invasive treatment options that harness the body’s own natural healing process to treat a variety of conditions and orthopedic injuries.

  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP injections are used to treat a number of common orthopedic problems. PRP is a concentration of platelet cells found in your blood which have growth factors that may help in the healing process of chronic injuries. When these growth factors are injected into a chronically injured area, we hope to stimulate your body’s ability to heal the area by restarting the healing process.

  • Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)

BMAC injections are used to treat osteoarthritis. BMAC contains mesenchymal stem cells, some of the growth factors found in platelet-rich plasma and key plasma proteins. BMAC injections may provide greater and longer-lasting intervals of pain relief than other traditional injections, such as corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections.
