I had ankle replacement surgery with Dr. William Engasser back in February, and I couldn’t be happier! I broke my ankle 20+ years ago and over time, my joint had deteriorated to total bone-on-bone. I had severe pain anytime I stood, much less walked. That pain is now gone, and I am slowly getting back to the many activities I was forced to give up. Most importantly, I was able to dance at my son’s wedding two weeks ago! Dr. Engasser always took the time to answer my questions and address my fears. I never felt rushed during appointments. His enthusiasm gave me the confidence to go through with this procedure, and he never made a promise that he didn’t keep. I highly recommend Dr. Engasser and his team.

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize my surgeon, Dr. Engasser. I am 59 years old and just received a total ankle replacement from Dr. Engasser at TCO. The care and consideration Dr. Engasser and his staff provided to me has been fantastic, both prior to surgery and after. The ultimate decision to have ankle replacement was thoughtfully laid out by him over the course of a year. Nothing was rushed, all options were considered, and a final agreement on treatment was decided. I am 3 months post-op I am walking under my own power and getting stronger each day. I can say without hesitation that meeting with Dr. Engasser was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I would highly recommend him for anyone with ankle/foot concerns!

Dr. Mittelsteadt is the best. He is very caring and competent. After years of ankle pain I am thankful for having such a great surgeon.

I am 64 years old and I had a trimalleolar fracture of my left ankle 3 years ago. After a long recovery, I thought the worst was behind me. About 18 months after the accident, I developed post traumatic osteoarthritis of my left ankle. I tried medication, steroid injections and ended up using a cam boot for almost 6 months since I was unable to put weight on my foot due to the pain. I was referred to Dr. Mittelsteadt to see if I was a candidate for ankle replacement. I had the surgery in March 2023. I am now 7 months post-surgery, have completed physical therapy, am walking up to 4 miles every day (which is something I have not been able to come close to for 3 years). Dr. Mittelsteadt is professional, accessible, and kind. The staff at TCO are great! They are very friendly and accommodating. I am very grateful that I was able to have this replacement done and get my mobility back!

I was greatly impressed with the ankle joint replacement I received from Dr. Mittelsteadt. I had very little pain through the whole procedure and recovery. I was back to doing most of my normal activities in 4 months. My ankle feels great. I was extremely pleased with the way I was treated at TCO, and particularly by Dr. Mittelsteadt.

Dr. Seybold is compassionate, professional, intelligent, and extremely capable. You can’t ask for more than that. I highly recommend Dr. Seybold and his staff. I am truly grateful for what they do.

I want to tell you how great I think Dr. Engasser is as a specialist in orthopedics. He is the most confident in what he does. I have referred him to many people for issues they have. He is very professional and down to earth with his patients. He explains things so you can understand him perfectly. TCO is very lucky to have him. I thank him for taking care of the pain in both of my ankles.

Dr. Engasser did an extraordinary job on my ankle. I can now walk with no pain, enjoy my golf, and live my life to my fullest. I highly recommend him.

I had a total ankle replacement in May with Dr. Tanner. From the first office visit to the last post-op visit, my wife and I were totally impressed with his knowledge and caring attitude. After the first office visit we had we ended up having a few more questions/concerns go through our mind. We called the office with the concerns and Dr. Tanner personally called us back to explain. He came up to my hospital room post-surgery to see how I was doing (not many surgeons themselves do that these days). At the six week f/u visit he took the time to thoroughly examine my ankle (not just having his PA look things over) and he was genuinely interested in my healing process. Many surgeons are a bit “aloof” but Dr. Tanner is not only knowledgeable but passionately concerned about his patients.
