I have been a patient of Dr. Arthur’s for several years. Gladly, I can say that a true doctor-patient relationship has emerged, enough where I drive in from the Brainerd lakes area to be seen by Dr. Arthur and his staff. I trust his information and judgment, and he is a doctor that listens to his patients and values their input. This, is a very important element for me in a doctor. He has surgically repaired my knee, and I am grateful to be able to able to do my pre-condition activities. Thank you Dr. Arthur and your wonderful staff.

The pain and limitation of motion in the right hip is completely gone! I am doing more physically and am in better shape than in the past 5 years. I don’t run but use the elliptical trainer and Stairmaster at the gym. I feel better than I have in 7 years, no pain and full range of activities. Thank you Dr. Knowlan!

Dr. Deal performed surgery on me this past August. It was a complete success due to his professional surgical skills. I was experiencing a lot of nerve and disc pain prior to surgery. After surgery all the pain was gone. I feel terrific. During and after the procedure, Dr. Deal and his staff kept my wife informed of every phase of the operation and treated us like VIP’s. My sincere thanks goes to Dr. Deal for improving my life in a big way.

I was experiencing a lot of pain in my right knee and could barely walk.  On August 18th, I had an appointment to see Dr. Moser at the Eden Prairie TCO.  When we arrived for our appointment, they were experiencing a power outage and were re-scheduling patients.  The girls at the Eden Prairie TCO suggested that I go to the TCO Edina Orthopedic Urgent Care so that I could be seen quickly.  We drove right over and I was able to get in right away.

Dr. Kempcke saw me and after x-rays and examination, told me that I did not have much cartilage left in my knee and should consider knee replacement sooner rather than later.

She offered a cortisone injection as a short term measure and I agreed to the cortisone injection.  I was off work for a few days and was able to rest the knee, but able to return to my job as a nurse within a week.  The cortisone injection really helped.

I do plan to have a total knee replacement with TCO in the near future, but I was very appreciative of the treatment I received at the Edina TCO Urgent Care.  I highly recommend them.

I want to thank you for the excellent surgery you did on my hip (torn tendon). I also want to thank you for being honest with me about the difficulty of this surgery and the possible outcomes. I really appreciate that especially. I also want to thank you for sitting down and taking the time to talk to me and answer all my questions. I hope your daughters graduation party turned out well. I know it was very warm but there were no storms on Saturday. I will see you in January and I will continue to walk hard to get stronger and maybe even try the skis again.

Dear Dr. Knowlan,

Although it seems like yesterday, it has been a year since you performed my hip replacement surgery. I went from excruciating pain every time I got in or out of the car or bed to being absolutely pain free since my surgery. Thank you so much for giving me back my life! I am so grateful to you and your team. I’ve told everyone that if they should ever need a hip replacement, Dr. Knowlan is the best. When my husband Steve and I met with Dr. Hartleben, we told him we wanted the best surgeon. He didn’t hesitate to recommend you. I even got to go to a  hospital close to home with the most wonderful caring staff, I couldn’t be happier.

Dr. Knowlan,

Just wanted to thank you for the new hip I got one year ago today (9-29-15). We spend our winters in Colorado and before the surgery you told me I should be able to downhill ski by January, so that’s exactly what I did. I took my first couple runs on January 4^th and slowly built up my stamina. Throughout the winter, I skied more and became better than I ever have in the past. I was able to accomplish this without any falls or sore muscles. Thanks to you and all the good physical therapists that I worked with very diligently. Thank you very much!! Great jobs!

Fabulous! Was back at work the following week and on an airplane to the coast by myself within 3 weeks of the surgery. The EXCEL program was simply great. It allowed me to heal at my own pace. Dr. O’Neill said; “go ahead – your knee will make strange sounds but remember you can’t hurt the device”. That’s all I need to hear and I was off. There was no stopping me. This surgery was a non-event in my life – just the way it should be.
