Thank you to Dr. Meisterling and his staff for a successful repair of my broken wrist. Everyone was helpful and answered all my questions. Dr. Meisterling is an excellent surgeon.

My introduction to Dr. Larson is rather unique as I’m not a runner nor do I compete in major athletic events. However, one of my hobbies is running agility with my Great Dane, Tess.

After two years of training, we were finally ready for our first competitive Agility Trial.   It was November 2014, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Honestly, it was the perfect set up – our home course with my instructor at my side and our breeder videotaping my first run. After walking the course and waiting our turn, it was finally time. Wait, wait, wait for the buzzer.  Bzzzz…and we were off… Tess was over the first jump, and heading for the dog walk when she realized I wasn’t running next to her. I had tripped right out of the start gate. How embarrassing, I thought, as a hundred people were watching. I got myself up, and hobbled along the dog walk then realized something was really wrong. I had to be carried off the course and I almost passed out from the pain.

Three weeks later, I found myself sitting in Dr. Larson’s office as he explained that my hamstring had torn off the bone and surgery was inevitable. I was pretty determined that I could live without the surgery, but Dr. Larson helped me realize that there was no realistic reason not to have the surgery. My fears dissipated as he explained that even with my immobilizer, I could be driving within weeks, hobbling around on crutches for about a month and starting physical therapy within six weeks. Dr. Larson had to squeeze me into his surgery schedule at the last minute, as the time sensitivity of hamstring repair is so imperative.  That was Dec 16, 2014.

I graduated from physical therapy in Jan. 2016, thanks to Ashley at Viverant who built my confidence as well as my hamstring muscle. In February, 2016, fourteen months post-?surgery, I ran in my first competitive Agility Trial! I was so nervous, but I didn’t fall! There was a huge standing ovation when we finished!

I shed tears of joy and gratitude and I am “back to normal!”

Thank you, Dr. Larson.

Dr. Panek was the first, after many years of searching and being turned away, to take me in as a patient and do both my knee replacements that were desperately needed. Thanks to his close care I can walk pain free and sit in a chair normally for the first time in twenty years. Dr. Panek just so happens to have also done hip surgery on my grandfather and two total knees on my step father before me. Thanks Doctor, you were literally one in a million for me.

Really impressed by the movement I have and how pain free I am since the replacement just 12 weeks ago. Been in Arizona playing golf while carrying my bag just as I did last summer only its now pain-free! Back on the elliptical in the gym with no problems with the leg and knee getting stronger all the time. Thank You Dr. Lewis, you have my vote of confidence!

Dr. Meyer treated my daughter, Leah, for elbow pain related to her sports participation as well as performed her trigger finger surgery. He showed great compassion and understanding for the impact these issues had on her sports participation, which at her age is really important to her; as well as of course providing great medical care (which, as her parents, we were more focused on.)

I cannot thank Dr. O’Neill and his staff enough for giving me my life back. I had become very immobile before having my hip replacement. I had total hip replacement and also had to lengthen that leg 2 inches. I had the surgery on a Tuesday and went home on Wednesday. I was at the grocery store walking with the grocery cart on Friday. I had very little pain. No need for therapy other than what they showed me at the hospital after surgery. It has been awesome! Can’t thank you enough Dr. O’Neill, Jessica and Alyssa. You all are just the BEST.

After cortisone shots for pain in her right hip, Diane found that daily activities continued to be restrained by worsening pain. Dr. O’Neill described to her the new anterior approach he had been studying and implementing for hip replacements and he recommended this approach to Diane.
With the right equipment, Dr. Owen O’Neill performed Diane’s hip replacement and the outcome was fantastic! Diane states, “I was in the hospital for two days and went home with no restrictions. There was much less pain than the previous surgery on my other hip. My scar is five inches long– half as long as the other one.”
As soon as she came home from the hospital, Diane could get in and out of bed without assistance. In ten days, she no longer needed a walker or cane. She faithfully did physical therapy exercises, all at home!

I have received exceptional care from Dr. Diekmann, as well as his staff, especially Troy! I can not say enough about how he made me feel at ease before me ankle surgery as well as during the recuperation period. He is very thorough and caring! My son and my husband have been patients as well! Thank you for the outstanding care!

From start to finish, Dr. O’ Neill and the entire staff at Twin Cities Orthopedics were great. He totally explained everything to me before, during and after my hip replacement. From bone to bone and now, no hip pain!

I am deeply appreciative for his knowledge and know how, and for the excellent care I received. I would recommend Dr. Owen O’Neill and TCO to anyone.

My knee replacement has been a journey from knee pain, orthoscopic meniscus repair surgery, cortisone shots and finally full left knee replacement. Dr. O’Keefe and his team have been with me through all steps, answering questions, offering support and finally helping make the decision to replace a very worn out knee joint. The decision was mine made on the facts that the knee joint and pain was affecting the quality of my life. I am 72 years old and have places to go, things to do, a loving, supportive husband, children and grandchildren, with whom I want to share my life, not observing from the sidelines.

I strongly recommend attending the recommended pre-operation seminar that gives you a great overview of the hospital stay and process. Do the exercises daily leading up to the surgery and after! Ask questions.

My surgery was on a Wednesday and I was home, with help from my husband, on Friday. Physical therapy in the hospital, at home, and at the clinic has enabled me to walk without a cane at home, except on stairs, within 3 weeks and slowly ride a stationary bike, only for 5 minutes within 4 weeks after the surgery. All of this success is due to the wonderful, positive, supportive team that works with Dr. O’Keefe and Twin Cities Orthopedics. I totally believe that my successful recovery is due to this team and would highly recommend them to anyone with knee joint pain. I had arthritis in the joint and no meniscus. They dealt with all of this and I could not be happier!
