I’m in my early 60’s and am very active. I have played competitive (including professional) baseball since I was 8 years old and now play in an over 50 league. Since I pitch, that means I have been rotating and pushing off my right hip for over 55 years. I developed the classic ‘bone on bone’ scenario. If I wanted to ‘stay in the game’ and continue to pitch, I needed to have my right hip replaced. I met with Dr. O’Neill and his team and they walked me through everything and what to expect. The procedure went great and the aftercare and follow-up have been second to none! I’m well on my way to continuing to be very active and am able to play the sport I love. I would highly recommend Dr. O’Neill and his entire team!

I would like to thank Dr. Christopher Meyer and team for the great job you have done on my left knee. Your excellent work is truly appreciated. At 6 weeks post-op, I am very pleased with the outcome. I still have work to do and certainly will accomplish that, since I want the best outcome I can get. You have all given me the opportunity to be better.

I would describe Dr. Bakker and his amazing crew at TCO as absolute professionals. They were so on top of their game, from the emergency treatment, to the in person meeting I had with Dr. Bakker post-surgery. How does he find time to do all those surgeries and still take time to meet in person with his patients post-surgery to make sure everything is okay? For me, everything is more than okay! I am back on track. I’m in awe and have so much gratitude. Those are the words that summarize my TCO experience with Dr. Bakker and the entire staff. I owe TCO!

Several years ago, I developed severe degenerative knee joints, and I was unable to walk more than one block without severe swelling and knee pain. My active life as I knew it was ending. I sought the consultation of Twin Cities Orthopedics, and the care of Dr. Andrea Saterbak. She was caring and professional through her unique surgical talents, she replaced both of my knees.

TCO provided excellent physical therapy throughout my recovery. I was soon back bicking, but one of my dreams was to ski the American Birkebeiner, a 35 mile cross country ski race in northern Wisconsin. I am happy to say I finished the race this year. I hesitated for years before having my knee replaced, but finally placed my trust in Dr Kelly. I had excellent results and am very pleased with the recovery process. My only regret is having waited so long!

Well if falling on the ice doesn’t get you, the gym will! I was so careful watching my step this winter on the slippery sidewalks and driveway. Then in my small group fitness class, I fell backwards off a box while doing alternating box jumps. Needless to say, I braced myself with my right hand and broke my wrist. I went to TCO Urgent Care and was informed I needed surgery. From the moment I had x-rays to the time of surgery and beyond, TCO has partnered with me to make sure I made a full recovery. Dr. Bakker was able to perform surgery within 4 days of me breaking my wrist, so I wouldn’t have to suffer over the weekend. Everything went smoothly and I was amazed how quickly I could resume driving. The TCO team is there to get you to the finish line!! It was a great experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Bakker and his team!

After a fall, I had two broken bones in my foot. I was treated at another clinic, by a very rude doctor, who delayed my recovery with the wrong treatment. Twin Cities Orthopedics was recommended and I saw Dr. Engasser, who was very kind and helpful. He had me wear a boot and I was on my was to recovery. I highly recommend him!

I thank everyone at TCO who helped me recover from my MCL injury. I am grateful that I am able to share my experience with others!

I had been having knee issues for years, starting with a meniscal tear and resulting in arthroscopic surgery twice. I was told that I would eventually need a knee replacement and when that time came Dr. Lewis came highly recommended. What a beautiful job he did with my knee.
