What I thought was just an ankle sprain, turned into a life threatening emergency. After the swelling went down on my foot, I thought everything was good. Turns out, I had broken my foot and was unaware the bone had become infected. As the infection became worse, I started to feel extremely sick and ended up in the emergency room. Thanks to TCO’s Dr. TJ Ridley, they found the issue and immediately prepped me for surgery. I remember Dr. Ridley looking at the MRI and saying, “This surgery has gone from trying to save your foot, to saving your life.”

Due to the severe infection, I needed a below the knee amputation. It was a shock, but considering the alternative, there was nothing else to do. I spent 6 days in the hospital, and it took two surgeries to make sure I was clear of the infection. Dr. Ridley assured me I would be up and walking before too long, and after a few weeks of recovery at home, I was able to get the staples removed. Things were progressing nicely and Dr. Ridley referred me to some amazing people who fitted for my prosthetic leg.

By the time I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Ridley, I was able to walk into his office without aid of crutches or a cane. My goal was to be able to walk on my own by Christmas and I’m proud to say I accomplished just that. I have now finished up my physical therapy, and my life is pretty much back to normal. Dr. Ridley and his staff were excellent to work with, always available to answer any questions I had, and helped me maintain a positive attitude, which I believe helped my recovery. I can’t say thank you enough. You literally saved my life.

I would definitely recommend knee replacement for those who need it. Now I can do almost everything I need. I can’t imagine what life would be like without my replacement surgery performed by Dr. Dieterle!

I had a right hip replacement in 2011 by a different physician and one in December 2020, performed by Dr. Arntson. The comparison to my previous surgery and the most recent one was a night and day difference. My short term stay at the Blaine Orthopedic Surgery Center was great and the staff were too. I am 6 weeks post-surgery and I feel almost like I did before surgery! The total experience was great. I have my life back now! Thank you!

Dr. Ridley re-attached my bicep on November 20th and the surgery was a complete success! After therapy, I have almost full movement in my arm and am able to use it without any problems. The follow-up visits were great and he answered all of my questions.

A friend referred me to Dr. Owen O’Neill when I learned that I would need a hip replacement and I’m so glad he did. Dr. O’Neill and his whole team made my experience an extremely good one. I had my surgery 2 months ago and I am now pain-free! Prior to my surgery, standing up was so painful that I had to wait a few seconds before I could walk. I am a pretty active person and I thought it was just a muscular issue so I tried to ignore the pain and just stretch all of the time. Now it is a different story.

I finally have no pain and can walk without a limp. For the winter, I brought my road bike inside and put it on a trainer. I ride every day and can’t wait for nice weather to come back around! My recovery went so well that I went back to work part-time in 2 weeks after the surgery! I was first told by another surgeon about a posterior method to replace my hip. He said it would be a 6-week recovery. I would definitely recommend Dr. O’Neill to others and the Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery that he does. In fact, I already have. My family and friends are amazed by my recovery. I am a Dental Hygienist and my patients can’t believe I just had my hip replaced. Thank you so much to Dr. O’Neill and his whole team for taking such good care of me!

My total knee replacement with Dr. Kelly went well and physical therapy is a grind but I’m getting there. I am gaining range of motion and strength every day!

From the first time I met with Dr. Arntson, I was treated with great care. The procedure was well explained and possible results were explained, both good and bad, for me to make an informed decision on surgery. Everything went smoothly with both knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Arntson made me feel well cared for and safe. I trusted his judgement and did not feel afraid. I am very happy with my experience.

A quick note to express my gratitude on the tremendous job Dr. Kelly did on my rotator cuff surgeries. Two weeks ago I was on a beach, throwing a football with my son, and it was the first time in 25 years that activity was pain-free. I have resumed all of my desired physical activities and cannot thank Dr. Kelly enough.

I am now at 6 weeks post-op from a total knee replacement with Dr. Christopher Meyer and I am certainly feeling as good as I did six weeks pre-op. I expect I will recover endurance and increase muscle tone as I continue to work back into shape. I’ve had knee problems since the age of 14 and have had three surgeries before this one. I am now 56. I feel that six weeks from now, with the consistent work and positive mental attitude, I will have more use of the lower body and better overall quality of life then I have had for many years.
