6 TCO physicians named Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Top Doctors: Rising Stars

Congratulations to the six Twin Cities Orthopedics physicians named to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s 2020 Top Doctors: Rising Stars Edition list. The magazine’s sixth annual list recognizes peer-nominated physicians who have been fully licensed for 10 years or fewer and demonstrate medical excellence in our community.

Dr. Adam Bakker

Adam Bakker, MD, is fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatment of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Dr. Bakker completed his fellowship in hand surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine.

 

Dr. David Hartigan

David Hartigan, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a graduate of Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Surgery Residency program. He is dual fellowship trained in hip preservation/replacement at American Hip Institute in Chicago, IL and Sports Medicine at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Hartigan specializes in all aspects of hip care including: hip arthroscopy, FAI, labral repair, periacetabular osteotomy, surgical hip dislocation, proximal hamstring ruptures, abductor tendon repair and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement. Dr. Hartigan also specializes in all aspects of sports medicine including complex knee and shoulder disorders in both the professional and recreational athlete.

 

Dr. Ryan Hess

Ryan Hess, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. His surgical interests focus on athletic injuries in athletes of all ages. Dr. Hess completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Following residency, Dr. Hess completed a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida, with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. While there, Dr. Hess assisted in treating a wide range of injuries in athletes from amateur to professional levels.

 

Amy Moeller, MDDr. Amy Moeller

Amy Moeller, MD, is a hand and microsurgery fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand, wrist, shoulder, elbow and pediatric care and sports medicine. Dr. Moeller completed her fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Utah. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.

 

 

Dr. Peter Sanders

Peter Sanders, MD, is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive joint replacement and fracture care. Dr. Sanders completed his medical school training and his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of MN in Minneapolis, MN.

 

 

Dr. John Tanner

John Tanner III, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle care. Dr. Tanner’s practice addresses all foot and ankle pathology, including bunions, flat feet, toe deformity, trauma, arthritis, ankle instability and sports injuries. He has specialized training in advanced techniques such as ankle arthroscopy and ankle joint replacement. Dr. Tanner attended the University of Southern California for medical school and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University.
