Beginning September 21st, we invite you to join us every third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30 PM to hear from experts on the topics of Nutrition, Sports Performance, Rehabilitation, Recruiting and much more. There will be opportunities to ask questions & win prizes!
This is free yearlong program is held virtual for all participants. New topics will be announced every three months.

Kaela Colvard, MS, RD, LDN, CSSD, is a registered and licensed dietitian with a background in sports nutrition and a specialization in eating disorders. She has experience working with youth, collegiate and professional athletes to optimize their athletic potential, as well as working with clients to ensure recovery in eating disorders and improving body image. Kaela previously worked at the University of Minnesota and University of Illinois athletic departments where she worked with Division I athletes of every sport to optimize performance, recovery and injury prevention in relation to nutrition. She also managed the menus and functionality of athletic dining to ensure nutritionally optimal meals for athletic performance and recovery and worked on the Eating Disorder Treatment Team. Kaela will be working out of Training HAUS – Viking Lakes in Eagan, and plans to work with athletes of all ages at other TCO locations as well!
Rachel Rubatt, MA, RD, LD, is a registered and licensed dietitian with a background in wellness, sports nutrition and behavior change for adults and children. She also has experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy (Cardiac, Surgical, Mental Health, Rehabilitation); and weight management. As a previous swimmer, she has a passion for sports nutrition. Rachel has worked with Division I (Gopher Football and Swim/Dive) and youth athletes to optimize fueling for performance while educating for life-long nutrition practices. She is passionate about providing encompassing care that involves all factors influencing the individual’s relationship with food, performance and overall wellness. Additionally, she will be delivering wellness nutrition to TCO employees. Rachel is currently working to obtain her CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics). Her personal interests include running, weight lifting, swimming, and dogs. You’ll see Rachel at various TCO locations as well as at Training HAUS – Eagan.

The goal of this episode is to educate the audience on common signs of different musculoskeletal injuries. These tools will allow athletes and their families’ to better assess their condition at home and determine the best place for their care.
Dr. Hanson was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up playing any sport he could find, and this gave him his first exposure to the world of sports medicine. He attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities before going on to medical school at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed Family Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then returned to Minneapolis to complete a one-year Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota where he enjoyed working closely with high school, college, and professional athletes around the Twin Cities. During fellowship at University of Minnesota, Dr. Hanson was fortunate to experience a broad range of sports medicine training including caring for high school athletes at the Academy of Holy Angels as well as Division 1 athletes at the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas. In addition, he was able to gain experience with professional athletes, working closely with the Minnesota Twins organization and the St. Paul Saints. In his free time, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time with friends and family including his two young children, playing golf and finding pick-up basketball games.

Brooke Dummer, MS, RDN, LD, is a licensed and registered dietitian from New Ulm, Minnesota. She has experience working with collegiate athletes helping to optimize performance and instill lifelong nutrition practices. She previously worked at West Virginia University with a variety of teams providing team educations and individual counseling on topics related to nutrition basics, fueling timeline, injury prevention/recovery, body image, and more.
