Dr. Bircher and the TCO staff were amazing. Dr. Bircher replaced my hip after my husband went through the same process two months earlier. I had my other hip replaced two years ago through my regular healthcare system. Both were successful but my recovery was much faster with TCO. I didn’t feel like I was just a “number” with Dr. Bircher.

My husband and I were each in the EXCEL program after our procedures. We stayed overnight in one of their surgery care suites and had physical therapy before being released the next morning. It was much easier to understand the recovery process during physical therapy sessions versus just being handed a booklet. Every employee in the EXCEL program was awesome.

Once again, I’m blown away from the superb treatment and outcome of the Twin Cities Orthopedics staff! My anterior approach hip replacement far exceeded my expectations. Dr. O’Neill was kind, thorough, and a “straight shooter.” Any questions or issues I had were dealt with promptly through his staff. The surgical facilities in TCO Chaska are top notch! I am of the age where my friends are also facing hip replacements. I was the only one of three with the anterior approach and had far less pain with a very fast recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Owen O’Neill! I’ve had three other total replacements with TCO and have always been impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the surgeons I’ve worked with!

I had my right hip replaced by Dr. O’Neill in Feb 2025. Everything went very smoothly from pre and post-op. Dr. O’Neill and his team were great. My recovery went as outlined and was ever easier than discussed. I am ready to get my left hip replaced by Dr O’Neill this fall. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Bircher because of my knee pain. He saw the way I was walking and suggested that I get an X-ray of my hip even though I had no pain there. The X-ray showed bone on bone in the hip, and the pain was going from my hip down to my knee. I had a hip replacement on April 1st, 2025. After three weeks, I was walking with no walker, and my knee pain was gone. Three months later, there is still no pain in the knee. It has been the best I have felt in two years.
