I honestly cannot thank Dr. Anseth and his Team enough for the “new” life that I have been given. In 2016, I was diagnosed with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). I had two surgeries prior to help assist with preserving my right hip in the hope that I would not have to get a replacement. Unfortunately, after my second hip surgery, things never felt “right” or “normal.” That is when I decided I needed to see a doctor who specialized in hip care and has also worked on athletes of all ages.

Luckily, I was able to ask around and I heard that Dr. Anseth was one of the best, so I scheduled an appointment with him. He asked me questions, especially about what things I wanted to do that I could not physically do due to my arthritis forming in my hip. It was embarrassing that I could not put away my dishes from the dishwasher or pick up my clothes off the floor. We put together a game plan. I needed to lose some weight, which is challenging when I had pain. I also had a trip coming up that I didn’t want to reschedule. So, I had received two injections with his team in the meantime and scheduled as soon as I was able.

When on my trip, there was one thing I could not do, which was climb to the top of El Yunque National Rainforest. I made it about a quarter of the way up before needing to turn around. I promised myself that I would come back one day and finish that hike. That May, (three years ago) I had my operation. The team was amazing, and the relief was instant. I truly wished I had done it sooner. Dr. Anseth even took pictures of my hip for me, as I have worked in the medical field. By the second week I was walking around very well. About 4-months post op, I decided to get into biking and started lifting weights along with walking. It took a long time for my muscles to feel fully recovered, but I was happy I took the time to regain muscle strength.

Since having the operation, I have traveled to Rome and France. I have walked and climbed hills that I know I would not have been able to do previously. I have joined a dance studio. I bike, I play pickle ball, and now I am learning to golf. With diet and exercise, I have lost over 70 pounds because I am finally able to move the way I have wanted to for years. The best part of my story? I climbed to the top of El Yunque this past November with my friends. I cannot recommend him enough. There is hope for that pain to go away, and for you to have your life back. Since then, Dr. Anseth has also operated on my grandmother for her knees. Thank you to Dr. Anseth and his Team!

I’m sad that Dr. Nemanich is retiring. I guess that means that my right knee can never go bad!

Rarely do I walk without thinking about how grateful I am for my new hip and knee which are pain free! Although my left knee replacement was more painful than the other surgeries I have had in my life, it was well worth it. I have zero pain in my knee or hip, and they feel like my own. I can bend, stretch, and walk several miles without any pain. I am incredibly thankful. Dr. Nemanich is the best!

Dr. Diekman replaced my right hip about 11 years ago. Now, I need the left hip replaced. I’m willing to drive 2 hours to have him replace it. I know others who have had hips or knees replaced by him, and they are extremely confident in his work. He is an excellent doctor!

Dr. Ridley performed surgery on both of my hip replacements. The experience was great with instant relief and no complications. My first hip was done at the Blaine location in November 2024 while the second hip was done at the Plymouth location in May 2025. Both locations had amazing staff. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend Dr. Ridley for any orthopedic needs.

My story starts about eight years ago when I started having pain when walking. Three and a half years ago, I realized I needed to actively treat my pain which was consistently getting worse. Mobility had all but gone and I thought I needed some adjustments so saw a chiropractor. Quickly I realized that was not helping. I saw three different doctors, had X-rays taken, received several steroid injections, and took multiple MRIs. I was going to physical therapy for two years, including massage therapy. Finally, I went to a hip surgeon that refused to perform surgery because I was “too young” at the age of 52. I was in so much pain, so I got a second opinion the next week.

Dr. Nessler took new X-rays and showed me why I was in so much pain. I was amazed at how bad my hip joints were, both were bone on bone. I held my breath waiting for him to tell me I was too young to have the surgery, but he didn’t. Instead, he said he could do the surgery and that it was really my only option to alleviate the pain. I broke down and cried because it was the first time I felt heard, and I finally found someone to help me.

Getting surgery done scared me but not having sit done scared me even more. I had my right hip replacement done in November of 2024 and the left hip done in February of 2025. Having hip replacement surgery was the best decision I ever made. During my first walk around the hospital after surgery, I found that my joint pain was completely gone! I am now 3 months post-op and doing very well. My mobility is back, and it is getting better every day.

Dr. Nessler gave me my life back. He and his team (Anne Meyer and Lisa Marcellus) were professional, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon or care team. I would send anyone in need to Dr. Nessler without hesitation. Thank you, Dr. Nessler, for everything.

I had a hip replacement with Dr. Carlson in January. Everything went excellent and I had minimal pain after the surgery. I had good communication with the doctor through the entire process.

My first experience with Dr. Ockuly was five years ago when I needed a hip replacement. He took time to explain the x-rays and promised me he would do his best to fix my hip. It was a very successful surgery. Four weeks later, I had finished PT and could walk without any assistance. Next came a completely torn shoulder that could not be fixed except for a total reverse shoulder replacement. At first, Dr. Ockuly wanted me to try PT. Eighteen weeks later, Dr. Ockuly told me I was doing better than what surgery would do. Now I’m facing replacement of both knees but not before having a few years of alternative therapies.

I highly recommend Dr. Ockuly to anyone needing surgery. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He takes time to explain the situation and what plans are available for treatment. His entire team is caring, competent, and really treats you like family. His PA, Annie Merrill, is an invaluable member of his team before, during, and after surgery.

After months of trying to maintain the pain from arthritis I was forced to have my hip replaced. I am a single dad and I was a little scared, but Dr. Wetter and his care team have made this one of the easiest surgeries I have ever had. I am very grateful!

The diagnosis of severe degenerative arthritis in my hips came as a shock even though I had begun to limp and limit activities previously. Dr. Arthur reassured me that bilateral hip replacement surgery would remarkably improve my life. Truer words could not have been said!

Thanks to Dr. Arthur and his professional team, I recently had two very successful surgeries, a couple months apart, with smooth and rapid recoveries. Their excellent care and expertise have allowed me to return to the golf course, tennis, and pickleball courts. Most importantly, it helped me get back in action for my family, especially our young grandchildren.

I highly recommend Dr. Michael R. Johnson and his team to anyone considering hip replacement surgery. He performed my surgery in January 2025. From my initial consultation through my post-operative physical therapy, my total hip replacement journey with Dr. Johnson has been a truly positive experience. Dr. Johnson is a skilled surgeon, and both he and his nurse Jen were always prompt and thorough in their communication. It made me feel supported and informed every step of the way. The EXCEL Surgery and Recovery program was invaluable to me. This comprehensive approach made a significant difference in my recovery. My physical therapist, Ashleigh Kratz, challenged me to succeed at my pace. She really listened and found good solutions to the couple of challenges I encountered. I am now enjoying a much-improved quality of life thanks to Dr. Johnson and his team. I’m so grateful for their excellent care!
