As a “senior” I expect detailed information and a thorough explanation regarding surgical and medical procedures, and with my recent carpal tunnel/trigger finger I am happy to report that both verbal and written information before and after surgery was helpful and supportive. There was no wait time and cleanliness and safety was very evident from Dr. Gesensway and all of the staff involved with the surgery. I made a post-op phone call which was returned immediately. The pain management recommendations and plan was extremely useful without narcotic meds. With a right hand involved and size of the bandage/cast, I was not completely prepared for using my left hand for eating, dressing, meal preparation or hair washing and needed a little help. Not much dish washing or house work was done with my left hand since I live alone. I was happy to drive myself, rest when needed and slept well through the night. I also had an excuse to buy a few clothes to fit over the bandage/cast to make dressing easier. My adult, grown daughter warned me to have a post-op plan, and I did.

I have lived with Dupuytren’s contractures in both of my hands for many years. It got to the point where putting on gloves or reaching into tight spaces became difficult because my fingers were pulled toward the palm of my hands. I researched online and the surgery to repair my hands looked gruesome with a long recovery. I then heard about Xiaflex injections, which could be given without cutting into my hands. So I researched doctors and found Dr. McCarthy had done the Xiaflex treatments many times with great results. I’m very happy with her care and expertise. My hands feel great now. I would recommend Dr. McCarthy to anyone considering correcting their Dupuytren’s contracture.

I am 71 years old and over the years have sustained 3 rotator cuff tears following 3 separate injuries. Following each one, I underwent a rotator cuff repair by Dr. Norberg who was recommended to me by another orthopedic surgeon. Each time Dr. Norberg thoroughly explained the pathology in my shoulder, treatment alternatives and the reasons for his surgical recommendation. Most importantly, I have had excellent results. 8 months out from my last surgery, I am playing golf, shooting a shotgun and cleaning up leaves from my many oak trees. If my sons or granddaughters have shoulder problems, I will send them to Dr. Norberg.

My experience with the team at TCO has been outstanding. Partial knee replacement surgery was performed by Dr. Anseth. From the original diagnosis, right through the operation and the post-surgery follow up, everything has gone smoothly and the result has been better than expected. Prior to the operation I could not walk an eighth of a mile without considerable pain. Two months after surgery I was able to take a two mile trek through Lebanon Hills park. No cane, no pain.

Much of the credit for my speedy recovery goes to Jeff LaPanta, the TCO physical therapist who has overseen the rehab of my knee. Jeff is a very knowledgeable, personable, friendly guy who is great to work with and who obviously really enjoys working with people and seeing them reach their goals.

My family loves Dr. Koch. With all of the hand concerns and ailments we have had Dr. Koch and her staff are patient and caring and provide excellent care. I would recommend her to anyone.

I had a total hip replacement August 4, 2020 at the age of 55. Dr. Owen O’Neill‘s team was so fantastic before, during and after surgery! I wasn’t one who wanted to know the details of how the surgery would be performed but knew that I would feel better once it was done. The team provided information, answered my questions, and I felt they were there with me all the way, figuratively holding my hand through the process. Friends and neighbors would tell me it will be so much better after surgery, but I had no idea how right they were. We talk about our pain level on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst pain you can imagine. Life before surgery had been a constant 5 or 6 and I would need over the counter pain relief 2 to 3 times a week to get to sleep. Since the surgery, my pain level was a 2 for a few days and I hit 3 once when I moved wrong. I didn’t need the pain relief medication beyond the recommended 2 weeks (I probably didn’t really need it that long but I follow rules). I have been walking every day and have worked up to 30 minute walks which I had not been able to do for almost a year prior to surgery. At 7 weeks post-surgery I was cleared to return to normal activity level. I was happy to be able to mow the lawn. I’ve been raking leaves and looking forward to shoveling snow this winter. I am so thrilled that I can be active and not have the pain. Thank you Dr. Owen O’Neill and team!! I would highly recommend your team to anyone I meet who is in need of a new hip!

Dr. Cooper and Jessica Cicero are both incredible providers. They take the time to listen to their patients and truly understand what the problem is before coming up with a treatment plan. I appreciate that they understand when someone wants to try conservative options and that they are willing to help get everything lined up for you at the time of your visit. You are not left in limbo trying to schedule the appropriate appointments on your own. They truly care about their patients and want to help you get back to your life with the best mobility possible. You are a person, not just a number! Thank you for all the help you have given me and my husband.

I am very thankful and appreciative of Dr. David Anderson’s surgery to replace my left hip. His professionalism and engagement were helpful in easing my concerns, as this was my first surgery ever!

On October 1, 2020 I had an anterior hip replacement at the Blaine Surgery Center. I went from having pain every day in my hip (to the point that it was hard to walk) to waking up from the hip replacement and no longer having that pain! I have had some surgical pain but nothing that compares to the previous discomfort. I am about 2.5 weeks post-surgery and walking 18 minutes twice per day, along with my daily exercises. I was fortunate that I was able to manage any discomfort with Ibuprofen or Tylenol. I feel like I am on my way to getting my life back! A huge thank you to Dr. Arntson and his team for their wonderful care through this process.

I want to thank Dr. Knowlan and his team for the amazing job they did replacing my hip on September 8, 2020. I have no pain and I can hardly see the scar. I am sincerely grateful!
