Dr. Peterson performed a total knee replacement for me in March 2023. Right away it was easier going up stairs than it was before surgery, although recovery was painful for the first three weeks. By the week two I was walking without a cane and by week six, I was going for walks outside and doing a little yard work. I’m so glad I had surgery. I’m back to my water exercise class at the YMCA. Thanks Dr. Peterson and staff. The staff at Fairview Wyoming was great too.

This is the most wonderful doctor and nurses I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Arntson did my surgery and within five weeks I felt like I had a new lease on life. I’m more active now than I have been in years. Dr. Arntson gave me my life back, as did the wonderful staff and the hospital, my physical therapist, Kristina, and the staff at the clinic. I had troubles with bone-on-bone knee pain. I went through an exam to determine the requirements for a knee replacement. I met with Dr. Bircher and he explained the whole process and procedure. He successfully repaired my right knee and I am completely satisfied with the great care and post-op therapy. Dr. Bircher’s friendly attitude, positivity, and confidence helped with the process. I am now considering when to have my left knee replacement done too. Thank you, Dr. Bircher!

I had been having pain and discomfort in my right knee since high school. At one point, I literally had to hike backwards on the Superior Hiking Trail! After that, my general physician referred me to Dr. Owen O’Neill. I began receiving cortisone injections periodically, eventually having arthroscopic surgery on my right knee in 2009. Now at the age of 70, it was time for a knee replacement. Dr. O’Neill and his team provided a comprehensive Knee Replacement Protocol that I followed to be ready for surgery and recovery post-surgery.

Following surgery, I began physical therapy at TCO’s Edina Minnesota Drive location with Josh Rolfes. I looked forward to my time with Josh. He made our time together fun and helped me understand that, while some of the exercises would hurt, I would not hurt my knee. That helped me! Josh was always prepared. He had something new for me each session and was very encouraging. Now 9 weeks after surgery, you wouldn’t guess I had a knee replacement. The surgery team is top notch. And just as important, the physical therapy post-surgery is vital to a complete recovery! Thank you all! I can’t say enough good things about TCO, and particularly Dr. O’Neill, Isabel, Ann, Casey and Josh.

It was a great experience from the first visit until the last. It’s been six weeks since surgery and I’m walking an average of six miles per day. Dr. Schmiesing did a great job with the surgery and the follow up care. The EXCEL Program was a lot of help too, along with my physical therapist, Jacob. I would have this surgery all over again, if needed!

I had knee and hip replacements by Dr. O’Neill, could not ask for a better doctor or a kinder person. I recommend him to those I know who need this type of surgery.

I was referred to TCO by my primary care doctor and chiropractor. My leg and knee hurt so much, I could hardly walk. I saw Dr. Bircher at TCO and what a great surgeon he is. From my first visit to after surgery, he always explained what to expect with my total knee replacement. I am now three months after surgery and my knee is doing great. Dr. Bircher said there would be pain and there was! But now it is so much better. That is all in the past. Thank you, Dr. Bircher.

I had my surgery with Dr. O’Neill and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I was somewhat apprehensive because the replacement of my right knee with another surgeon did not go well. Knowing this, he answered all of my questions and calmed my fears. He was 100% right with everything he told me. Surgery went great and he came up to my room that evening to check on me, even though he was unsure if he would have time to stop by. His whole team was great. They were very thorough and caring. It’s been years since running without pain. This golf season I plan on walking the courses again! Thank you so much.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received at Twin Cities Orthopedics. From the reception staff, to the nurses, therapists and the great job Dr. Lewis did on my knee, it was a great experience overall. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else do my right knee surgery when I have that replaced. I would highly recommend TCO, and especially Dr. Lewis, to everyone I know who is looking to have any surgical procedure done.
