Twin Cities Orthopedics is the best place to have outpatient surgery done. The care I received from Dr. Bakker, the nursing staff, and the anesthesiologist was fantastic. They all took great care of me and did their best to ensure I would not get sick during the second surgery. They all took their time to listen to my concerns. I felt out of my element because I didn’t know anything about TCO, nor did I know any of the staff. I would see Dr. Bakker again, if needed. It was the best care ever!!

My knee deteriorated quickly after injury and arthritis. Deciding to have a new knee was not an easy decision at age 53. Having a total knee done by Dr. Arntson was an excellent choice and experience. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I stayed two nights at Mercy, which was a good experience. Four weeks after surgery, I felt ready to go back to my nursing job which requires walking and standing most of the day. I actually went back at six weeks which worked out well. Now it has been three months and I feel like I can do everything I want to do (except kneel on my knee).

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Lervick since 1980 when we met in junior high school. Now fast forward 30 years, and Dr. Lervick and I are still friends. I have also been fortunate enough to have him work on both my shoulder (rotator cuff tear, bicep tendon myopathy and arthritis repair), along with my elbow (chronic tennis elbow). Before both procedures, he had me do a lot of physical therapy so that we could avoid the surgery and keep me on the tennis court. But finally, the day came where surgery was the only option. Dr. Lervick was there from the beginning to the end. Recovery for each procedure was a short 3 months. I was back on the court and my shoulder and elbow have never felt better! I recommend Dr. Lervick to all of my fellow players and even those that don’t play. He’s a heck of a guy, a great friend and an outstanding surgeon! Thanks Greg (Dr. Lervick).

TCO and Dr. Knowlan’s team were great to guide me through this ongoing process. We had a lot of knee damage from a college injury; maintained a care plan to maximize mobility and health.

I went to my family doctor with a lot of pain in my right hip. He right away referred me to Twin Cities Orthopedics and Dr. Owen O’Neill. He said that if his mother had a bad hip, this was the doctor he wanted her to see. Dr. O’Neill took x-rays and examined me and said the hip would only get worse in time and that I should let him replace it. As it was, I could no longer golf or drive without using my hand under my right knee to lift my foot from the gas pedal to the break and vice versa. I couldn’t do stairs!

Still, I put off surgery for a while and when I could no longer stand the pain, I put aside my fears of surviving surgery (at my age of 77) and asked him to help me. He replaced my hip and after 2 days I was home on a walker. 10 days later walking around my house with a cane and then on my next visit, I was walking on my own just like my old self. NO CANE and NO LIMP. J Soon playing golf with my friends and teenage grandchildren.

I just had my 5 year re-check and am doing fine. I will see Dr. O’Neill in another 5 years. Oh yeah, I have a very small almost invisible scar on the front of my right thigh at hip level. We are blessed to have Twin Cities Orthopedics here in our area and of course Dr. Owen O’Neill.

In May of 2018, I experienced some lower back pain that quickly developed into a lot of pain from my left hip to my tingling toes. After trying several different treatments from cortisone shots (2), to chiropractic visits and therapy, it became apparent that I would need to have surgery on my L4-5 to relieve the impingement that was putting pressure on my sciatic nerve from a herniated disc and foraminal narrowing (MRI terminology). Surgery was scheduled but put off until after harvest season (farmer). Dr. Rick Davis had prescribed a couple of different medications which allowed me to finish the harvest season ahead of the surgery and which worked very well…really, a life saver. My experience with Dr. Davis and his PA Brandon was exceptional! From the time I entered the clinic the morning of surgery until I left some 4 hours later to go home was amazing. Everyone was so accommodating, understanding and comforting…the surgery by Dr. Davis turned out to be 100% successful and I am once again pain free on my left side. I would definitely recommend TCO and Dr. Davis without hesitation. Just got home from my follow up appointment and had a great conversation with Brandon and Dr. Davis about the surgery and the healing process over the next several weeks. Thank you Dr. Davis, TCO and Brandon.

Dr. Davis is an excellent Spinal Surgeon. I have no pain in legs or buttocks which had been persisting for over one year. He is kind, professional, very talented and has a super caring staff. He is terrific in every way. I am so glad and grateful to have had him for my surgeon. Thank you Dr. Davis for this wonderful outcome and to your staff, as well.

Dr. Moser has been such a blessing to our entire family. Over the years he has helped each member with our various injuries with incredible excellence. Thank you Dr. Moser for all the help over the years. You are a gift.

I used to consider if I went downstairs to do laundry, I would be limited in other things for 2-3 days and pain at night would be terrible. Now I say all the time, ‘I love my new hip!!’

I went to Twin Cities Orthopedics for a second opinion and found Dr. Crowe. He had fixed a compound fracture of my ankle in 2000, and did a wonderful job. I was so happy to find him again and he did a wonderful job on my back. I am pain free and so grateful to Dr. Crowe. If you want a great surgeon who knows his stuff…..Call him!!
