I am a 52 yr. old who suffered a meniscus tear on my right knee while working out. I just had knee artroscopy surgery and am extremely pleased with the results. I was able to bear weight on my leg immediately. I had minimal to no pain. I was back to walking around lake Calhoun within days. I recommend Dr. Arntson very highly.

I came to Dr. Barry 6 months after an attempted meniscus repair by another doctor.  As I was overly concerned with having a second surgery, Dr. Barry answered all of my questions and we agreed on a plan together going in to my second surgery.  He was extremely patient, explained things in terms that I could understand and always seemed to have my best interest in mind.  Dr Barry’s care team was also stellar, from his PA, Becky, to the staff at the surgery center I visited twice in Fridley. 2016 was my year of 2 shoulder surgeries and a lot of physical therapy. I was beyond thrilled to have been recommended to Dr. Meisterling. I was in a car accident that broadsided our car and I was the recipient of the other car directly to my right shoulder. My first surgery was in January 2016 and it went extremely well. Because rotator cuff repairs require immobilization for 6 weeks, I ended up with a frozen shoulder. Dr. Meisterling was excellent in walking me through that process, knowing the exact window of time I needed to repair the frozen shoulder. His second procedure again went extremely well. I was amazed at how much he loved what he is so good at. He was equally, if not more excited, for me as I was working for my recovery. I so appreciated his ability to partner with me on what was a longer journey than expected. I highly recommend him for both his expertise as a surgeon, along with his personal connection to your recovery’s challenges and victories.

My favorite way to exercise is walking around Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun. When it became too painful to do that, I knew I needed help. I had my first hip replacement in August 2013, at the age of 56, by Dr. Owen O’Neill. It was done in the hospital and involved a short hospital stay. My recovery went well and the results were fantastic. Within a month I was back to enjoying all the things people take for granted until they can no longer do them; like going for long walks and being pain free.

By the beginning of 2017 it became clear that I would need the other hip replaced. Dr. O’Neill explained a new program, started after my first procedure, called EXCEL. It involved having the surgery done at the same day surgery center with an overnight stay at an assisted living facility. I felt a little nervous about not recovering in the hospital.

The way things went, my worries were unfounded. I had my second hip replacement done in March 2017 . My experience with the EXCEL program was that the recovery was faster and easier than my first surgery. The accommodations for the overnight stay were top-notch. I had my own private room and one-on-one nursing care.I was walking the halls and having physical therapy within a few hours of having the surgery. My pain was well controlled, I got a comfortable nights’ sleep and was able to go home by noon the next day. Once home, I was surprised at how quickly and uneventful my recovery was. 4 weeks after my procedure my husband and I went to Minnehaha Falls. I was able to walk down and back up 110 steps without difficulty!

I would highly recommend the EXCEL program and Dr. Owen O’Neill. I feel I’ve been given a second chance to enjoy my life, and am very grateful to TCO for all they have done for me.

I met Dr. O’Neill for the first time in 2014 when my right hip needed surgery. I have always been active as a mother of 6 kids, full-time RN and part-time aerobic fitness instructor. Never imagined the first time surgery was completed and 100% successful that I would in two years time also need the left hip repaired as well. I went back to Dr. O’Neill the second time because of the trust, professionalism and care I knew I would receive. His entire surgical staff does an amazing job; both recoveries have been nothing short of and all of everything I expected in the recovery, post-op healing process. I was back to work in about a weeks time at my nursing job and back to teaching my fitness classes in 8 weeks following surgery. I can sleep again at night and not wake up in pain. Now, I am back to enjoying life with my kids, grandkids, other family members, friends and neighbors. Thank you Dr. O’Neill and your entire surgical team!

Dr. O’Neill performed an anterior total hip replacement on me in March, and less than 3 months later I am playing volleyball and completely functioning with no pain! SO happy I had it done!! Dr. O’Neill’s professional and caring demeanor really put me at ease. He answered all of my questions, and everything went just as I had expected (no surprises). I am very thankful for my friend’s recommendation to see Dr. O’Neill. I have now also recommended him to another friend! …and so on, and so on…

I had 2 knees replace about 4 months apart and Dr.Peterson’s team gave me the best care ever down to every detail from filling out paperwork, what to expect, surgery, hospital care and follow up visits.
