I was unsure about having my right shoulder replaced but with the pain I was in and recommendations from others, I decided to go ahead and have the surgery. Immediately following surgery, I didn’t have much pain. I know I would have to work at getting my strength and mobility back, which was note easy but well worth it. Dr. Kelly and his team were very professional and positive, always friendly and made everything clear. The physical therapist was very good and with all of the work, I now have good strength and mobility. Dr. Kelly did a great job on my shoulder!

Words can’t express my admiration and appreciation for Dr. Hoel. I didn’t have back pain but numbness in my feet. He explained carefully what he viewed in the MRI and shared his recommendation. Then, very patiently and thoroughly answered my questions. In my second visit, I experienced the same highly professional service. Julie, his nurse, I found to be of the same quality. Whether it was via a phone call or an office visit, I was never given the impression they didn’t have time for me or my concerns. My surgery was a success and I owe it all to his knowledge, compassion and thoroughness. It is very easy for me to recommend him.

My recovery has gone extremely well, instructions were clear, and therapy was easy to follow at home. I was walking hours after surgery and pain-free in the joint. I have had only positive results. After my wrist fracture was stabilized at TCO Urgent Care, Dr. Koch moved her schedule around the very next day and was able to conduct my much needed surgery. I was relieved that healing could begin and the risk of nerve damage was minimized. With outstanding follow through and hand therapy by Sue Anderson, I regained 100% mobility and strength. I could not be happier with the care or the kindness.

I had a total left shoulder replacement in November of 2020 due to severe arthritis. Dr. Ridley did an amazing job. He is personable and professional. It’s been one year and my shoulder feels great. I’m very happy with the results.

I had a fairly sudden onset of pain in my buttock radiating down right leg. It was excruciating and I was unable to get relief. After going to TCO urgent care, having an x-ray, receiving pain meds and muscle relaxants, along with a subsequent MRI, I was referred to Dr. Hoel. He explained my problem and gave me 3 options for possible treatment. I chose the discectomy, as it was the least intrusive and had the shortest recovery option. Within a few days I was scheduled for surgery and it was performed under general anesthesia. I was discharged the same day and the leg pain was gone.

I had a bout of nausea and vomiting the day after surgery and called Dr. Hoel’s assistant, who ordered anti-nausea medication. Dr. Hoel called me the next day to see if I was doing better. I was amazed that he took the time to check in with me. The medication worked well and I felt fine. Subsequently, I quickly was only taking Tylenol for pain. Five days after surgery, I received another call from Dr. Hoel to see how I was doing. I was happy to report that all was going well.

I just had my 6 week post-op appointment and I have had no further leg or nerve pain. I have been quite active and can return to golf, tennis, and pickleball in 6 weeks. My only physical therapy has been walking. I have a little low back stiffness, but considering I am 78 and have a lot of arthritis, I think I am doing great! I was very impressed with Dr. Hoel and would highly recommend him.

I am giving a shout out to Doctor Matthew S. Butterfield, M.D., his surgical team, and physical therapy team, for my total right shoulder replacement. The results I have from their expertise have given me 100% mobility (and pain-free at that) after the 10 week rehab program! Dr. Murar was so caring and supportive when dealing with my questions and concerns. He is an amazing surgeon and I highly recommend him and his staff if you are ever in need of orthopedic care. My surgery was in July 2021 and it is almost Thanksgiving now. I am at 90% function and “normalcy” in my left shoulder. I am 72 years old so this recover was very unexpected, but I give credit to Dr. Murar, his staff, and the two physical therapists that I had the pleasure of working with!

I am a retired general surgeon and have known Dr. Hunt for 25 years. We practiced together at his previous organization and when my knee needed replacement, there was no question who I would see. Not only is he an expert surgeon, he is a caring, down to earth man who never takes his role in the patient-doctor relationship for granted. My surgery went smoothly and I am completely recovered.
