Dr. Norberg gave me my life back. I am a devoted swimmer and due to a badly injected flu vaccine in November 2022, I developed a severe case of SIRVA (shoulder injury related to vaccine administration). I visited many physicians at other practices and Dr. Norberg was the only physician who told me that cases of SIRVA can be serious. He also recommended to add another procedure to my shoulder surgery, something that was ignored by the other doctors.

Finally, after a cavalry of 16 months of pain and being unable to swim, I had a complicated shoulder surgery that that involved four different procedures. Dr. Norberg is an excellent surgeon and an honest, and warm human being. He will never give you a rosy picture of the recovery process. So today, after one year, I am back at the pool swimming for 30 minutes, 3 times per week. I am working towards my final goal with confidence and without pain.

I highly recommend Dr. Norberg for anything shoulder and rotator cuff related. In 2022 my left shoulder was unstable and would dislocate on a semi-consistent basis. I consulted Dr. Norberg and he was upfront with me about the fact that, while not absolutely mandatory, surgery on my shoulder would help its stability immensely. He helped me schedule a date for my surgery. He did excellent work on my shoulder and provided dates to check up on it, along with locations for physical therapy. I am 7 months out from my surgery and am back doing everything I was doing before and more. Not to mention, my recovery was speedy before this point. Dr. Norberg is knowledgeable, kind, precise, and experienced in his work and I highly recommend him.

I had a broken collarbone from a mountain biking crash. Dr. Ridley‘s team was able to put me into his schedule quickly, and he surgically repaired my collarbone on very short notice. He put in a plate and 8 screws. I just had my 6-week follow up appointment and I have been healing great. I have full range of motion, no pain and am working to build back the strength in my arm.

Beyond his skills as a surgeon, what sets him apart is his approach to his patients. He was very careful to explain how the bone broke, how he planned to repair it, and then how it actually all came together. He takes the time for his patients to make sure they are comfortable and educated with what he will be doing. I 100% recommend Dr. Ridley to anyone that needs orthopedic treatment.

I’m an avid golfer, and played for over a year in pain. Dr. Norberg suggested reverse shoulder surgery, which was new to me and a concern for my future golf participation. Dr. Norberg and his staff had several communications with me answering all questions and were quite assuring of the procedure. I was told my recovery would be 4-6 months. The surgery went great and my pain of recovery was minimal. With Dr. Norberg’s rehab guidelines and physical therapy, my strength and flexibility increased incredibly well. Everything from start to finish was outstanding. I started hitting chip shots after 3 months and played a round of golf 4 and a half months later pain free. The procedure went so well, I rarely think of my operation. I’d have no reservations to see Dr. Norberg for my other shoulder in the future. Thank you.

After abusing my shoulders for 28 years of farming, 42 years of employment as a nurse, and spending months in a wheelchair following complications of right hip replacement, I was in constant pain in both shoulders. The pain affected every aspect of daily living, from sleeping and dressing to preparing meals, and being able to safely drive my CRV.

The process began with an appointment for a CT of my right shoulder and meeting Dr. Norberg. The wait for the creation of glenoid prosthesis began. With both shoulders replaced and PT completed, I am back to doing everything I need to do in my daily living. I feel the best I have for over five years! I needed help with my left shoulder that had a failed first replacement. I was in a lot of pain and had lessened flexibility. Dr. Leafblad replaced the bad joint with a new reverse joint. The operation was just great. I have no pain now and the shoulder has all of the flexibility, motion, and utility I hoped for.

Two rotator cuff surgeries (for different types of repairs) left me with no pain but lack of range of motion. I totally trusted Dr. Norberg when he told me a reverse replacement would give me back the use of my right arm. I cannot begin to express my appreciation to Dr. Norberg and his team for their care and skills. The rehab was thorough and when I went back for the follow up appointments, I was thrilled to learn I was way ahead of schedule! One year post-op, I feel I have total use of my arm. I am reaching for the top shelf of my cupboards, lifting, and carrying (all with limitations, of course). I am completely satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Dr. Norberg to anyone with shoulder issues. He is absolutely the best!
