I had THE BEST possible surgical outcome with Dr. Ryan Hoel. I had persistent and severe sciatic back, hip, and leg pain due to a herniated disc. It disappeared immediately after microdiscectomy surgery. Recovery was easy compared to the prior pain. It was almost tedious since I felt so well and was excited to return to life activities. I can only wish this level of success for all patients. Thanks to Dr. Hoel, TCO staff, and hospital personnel for prompt, professional, and exceedingly helpful care in turning my life around. I arrived at Dr. Andrew Arthur’s TCO office in the Spring of 2019 to be seen for severe pain in my left knee and the inability to walk for more than 10 minutes. I was diagnosed with multiple stress fractures and badly damaged knee cartilage. I knew my sporting future did not look bright. Dr. Arthur recommended paste graft cartilage regeneration for my knee. He carefully explained why this was an ideal option and my best hope to get back to triathlon competition.  I knew I was in excellent hands and agreed to follow his lead. Dr. Arthur reported that the procedure went better than we expected. The next step in the process included dedicating myself to physical therapy.

I closely followed every recommendation I was given for recovery and rehabilitation. Dr. Arthur and his team were profoundly helpful and supportive throughout my recovery, with consistent contact and multiple office checkups.  Two years post-surgery, I am pain free and racing again.  I recently finished Ironman Wisconsin, placing 6th out of 199 in my age group and 103^rd out of 1,746 overall.  Considering what my life was like before surgery and physical therapy, this is truly miraculous. I had been having pain in my right hip and left knee that was not subsiding. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Ryan for further evaluation. I am more than impressed with Dr. Ryan and her logical, pragmatic approach to determining not only the cause of the pain but also how to manage it going forward. She was very easy to talk to and offered a number of options for treatment. After the first appointment I felt like I have known Dr. Ryan for years. I cannot say enough about how good she is to work with and would highly recommend Dr. Ryan when seeking a solution to your knee and hip issues.

Dr. Michael Nemanich met with me, a patient who had already had a left-hip replacement and two subsequent revisions. Both of my knees had also been replaced. He answered my many questions about the approach he would use. The replacement was a success and he always answered my questions about what he saw in the x-rays. I trust his work and appreciate his kindness to me.

I went to see Dr. Maura Hartigan and I could not be happier with another physician, than I was with her.  She treated me like I was her father.  She offered love and kindness. I cannot say enough about how she identified my problem and fixed it. She is an angel and TCO is lucky to have her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Peterson and his staff were amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Peterson and the TCO EXCEL program. I had a bi-lateral knee replacement; my left knee in May 2021 and my right knee in August 2021. The care suites used after surgery was the best experience I have ever had. With each stay, there were 2 RN’s to 2 patients. If I needed assistance they responded in a matter of seconds. Dr. Peterson has an outstanding bedside manner. He listened to all of my needs, he is very caring, and kind. He made a very scary experience not so scary.

After sustaining a knee injury while playing pick-up basketball in January 2020, I lucked out by ending up at TCO. Following a diagnosis of a tibial avulsion fracture, ACL tear, and medial and lateral meniscus root tears, I met with Dr. LaPrade and his team. I had so many questions and so much uncertainty going into my initial visit. But he and his team developed a plan for surgery and recovery, while giving me the confidence that I’d be able to return to desired physical activities, following recovery and rehabilitation of the muscle in my surgical leg.

Many times during my journey with TCO and Training HAUS I was asked, “what do you want to get back to doing athletically?” Having grown up playing baseball, basketball, and football, I haven’t found an athletic competition I did not enjoy. But my answer was always “to hike in the mountains with 100 pounds on my back.” I’m sure many thought that was an odd answer but I always had elk hunting on my mind and after knee surgery, I was most concerned with when I’d be able to return to doing that.

Fast forward to September 2021, I had the opportunity to elk hunt in the mountains of Colorado with a good friend of mine. I used this hunt as motivation to help stay committed to my ACE Program with Training HAUS. I came out of TCO/Training HAUS not only recovered from my injury but in the best shape of my life, mentally and physically. My friend and I found success in the elk woods and I was able to carry out my goal of hiking in the mountains with 100 pounds on my back.

Huge shout out and many thanks to a fabulous team of surgeons, PTs, athletic trainers, and other patients (some of which I consider my friends today) for making TCO feel like home for me and turning my knee injury into a positive experience for the 1.5 years I spent there. I look forward to many more elk hunts, backpacking trips, chasing my kids around and maybe even a few pick-up basketball games without hesitation that my knee will hold up.

I have no pain at all since my surgery. Everything is going beautifully. I would highly recommend TCO to anyone having joint replacement surgery. Dr. Arntson and doctors at TCO are the very best!
