Now that I’m coming up on two years since my surgery (circa Oct 2017) I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks and appreciation to you, Dr. Seybold.

Two weeks ago I completed a multi-day, 300 mile bike ride in the (very hilly!) Finger Lakes region of New York. I experienced virtually no discomfort in my reconstructed calcaneus (six screws worth, as you may recall) and surrounding tissue. And I’m certain the little discomfort I did have was more attributable to the scleroderma that was present before the injury.

18 months ago when I was just starting to bear weight again, I was very unsure of how far my recovery could take me. I was hoping to at least get to the point where a five mile hike was doable. A 300 mile bike ride? I doubt that I would have considered that even a remote possibility. But here we are. So I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for you and your expertise, and that you really did a FANTASTIC job!

I saw Dr. Deal for extreme pain. Dr. Deal ordered an MRI and quickly diagnosed the problem I was having. Dr. Deal was very clear in his communications in a way that I could understand. He took the time to answer all of my questions and addressed my fears regarding surgery. My surgery went very well and the pain is 100% gone. I will go back to Dr. Deal with any future issues without any hesitation.

I have been seeing Dr. Michael Johnson for a couple of years now and trust him fully. When I went to my first appointment with him, I was impressed with the fact he listened to me and did not just dismiss what I told him about my symptoms. He was genuine and took quite a bit of time with me. He has shown great compassion when I have returned, again listening to my every word when explaining what was going on. When there was a question of whether I should have surgery on the affected shoulder or not…we discussed in detail both surgery and recuperation period. He wasn’t pushing surgery, which I admired, and suggested different ways of taking care of the problem. He also took into consideration what was happening in my life at the time and discussed in detail how I was doing. He was genuine in his concern and I could feel that warmth from him. He always gave me his complete attention when I was there and I would trust him with my life.

Received a cortisone shot in November from Dr. Arntson which really helped the pain in my hip, then proceeded with anterior hip replacement surgery on my left hip in March. Surgery went well and I was out of the hospital in 2 days. Did at-home exercises and took pain meds – after 2 weeks only needed Tylenol for pain and continued home exercises for 2 months or so. Now well healed, pain free – right choice for me.

This is my third procedure through TCO with Dr. O’Keefe, this time being a complete replacement of my right shoulder. He is my orthopedist. I have been thoroughly pleased with my care here in the hospital, clinic and physical therapy. Dr. O’Keefe and staff have instilled confidence about my expected results. My results have been great and have returned me to my normal tasks and certainly improved my quality of life.

I was treated with total respect by Dr. O’Keefe. Every staff member was helpful, happy and a pleasure to be around. I can’t believe how great I feel. Why did I wait so long to feel so great? The personal care was outstanding!! THANK YOU!

I can do things like I could when I was younger. In June, I camped in 3 State Parks and 2 camp grounds. Before knee surgery with Dr. Meyer, I would have maybe done only 1.

Dr. Gerlach did a wonderful job repairing two of my fingers after I injured them during a freak accident. I am a magician and have performed across the country. I had some serious concerns about how much I would be able to do performance wise. Dr. Gerlach was professional, caring and was incredibly skilled when it came to working on my fingers. Since my recovery I have done 3 shows including a very important one, for me, in Oklahoma. Thank you Dr. Gerlach and Lisa for your care, concern, skill and timely humor. It made a huge difference in my recovery and state of mind during the process.

At 72 years of age, I visited Dr. O’Neill for pain and stiffness in my right hip as well as back pain from my right leg being 1/2” shorter than the left one. The pain and lack of mobility was finally infringing on my everyday life. Hip replacement was inevitable. On February 7^th, 2019, I had anterior hip replacement surgery. Dr. O’Neill also lengthened the right leg by 1/2” making legs and pelvis even.

After 13 days, my husband and I flew to Arizona where I continued the rebuilding instructions I was given by Dr. O’Neill’s team. Six weeks after surgery, I was able to resume biking, hiking, working out, playing pickleball, without pain. In the attached picture, 16 weeks after surgery, my husband and I went on a 10 day bike tour through the Dordogne region of France.

Hip replacement surgery has made such a positive difference in everyday life as well as all the physical activities I love doing. I didn’t realize how much I was compensating for the pain in my right hip and overworking the left side of my body. After surgery, my back and sacrum pain was gone. Riding the hills in France was so enjoyable and I was much stronger and more confident in my biking. What a blessing!!

Thank you to Dr. O’Neill and the team. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. O’Neill and the minimally invasive hip replacement surgery. I wish I would’ve done it sooner.

I have seen Dr. Diekmann for over 10 years. He is a very good doctor and I recommend him to many. He has given me cortisone shots for my bad knees and now it is time to get a knee replacement. I have no worries because he did my mom’s hip surgery and you could barely tell where the scar was. His personality is A+ and he really does great with informing you what is going on and takes his time doing it too. I highly recommend him.
