I had a right hip replacement by Dr. Owen O’Neill in October 2018 when I was 77 years old. Prior to surgery I had a significant limp, could not stand longer than ten minutes because of pain and it was difficult for me to bend and put a shoe on my right foot. The surgery corrected all of these problems. I currently walk over one hour almost daily without pain, limping or other difficulties. Dr. O’Neill’s office staff, especially Ann Sugrue, were very helpful. She would immediately relay any question I had to Dr. O’Neill if he was not available. I have referred other people to Dr. O’Neill who also have had very successful hip replacements. He is a very skilled and compassionate surgeon who wants to help his patients lead a better and more productive life.

Dr. O’Neill and TCO were recommended to me and I am so thankful! His procedure didn’t cut any muscles and I was back to work as a full time bartender after 5 weeks without any issues. I was cleared because he said what I gave you is better than you ever had and you won’t screw it up. I am 53, 6ft 4in, 280lbs. My rehab was to just walk. I walked a lot. By the second week I was walking 4 blocks, 3 times a day. Now I’m breaking up 2 miles into 4 walks. I’m a big dude and not in the best shape. Hip pain was awful and he and his staff worked with me and my insurance. I never do these reviews but Dr. O’Neill changed my life. Innovative and full service situation. Simply awesome.

My hip replacement surgery done by Dr. Knowlan has completely eliminated my pain. I am able to sleep much better and also stand without pain. I am 100% satisfied with my decision to have it done.

I met Dr. Langer in early October. He is very patient and empathetic. He listened and answered all questions from my husband and me. He showed us where the problems were on the x-ray. What impressed me the most is the outstanding service by his staff members. A day after seeing Dr. Langer, we had a question and left a voicemail for his assistant, Adam. A staff member called back to let me know that Adam was out of the office today and would get back to me when he returned on Monday. She just wanted to inform me so that I didn’t keep on waiting and wondering. On Monday, Adam returned my phone call first thing in the morning. Overall, I’m very pleased with the excellent service provided by Dr. Langer and the outstanding service of his staff. Their actions demonstrate the high professional practice and total patient care.

You say shoulder injury? Both my husband and I had rotator cuff injuries. Dr. Norberg is our go-to surgeon. Communication skills, expertise and professionalism is outstanding. Amazing staff and we’re back skiing again.

I had a bad fall on the ice last January and completely tore my right supraspinatus from the bone, as well as a 1/2 tear on the infraspinaus and a 1/4 tear on the teresminor muscle. I was also told that my bicep had a tear and the bicep tendon was off the pully. I was devastated, as I have a physical job mitigating homes and after the fall my arm was useless. I searched the internet for the best orthopedic doctor in the area and Dr. Frank Norberg came up on top of the list. The day I met Dr. Norberg, he asked me if I could raise my arm and I couldn’t lift my arm one inch. I knew what I had was a total train wreck so I just said “Doc, I am not giving you much to work with, so do what you can”. I had the surgery on February 5^th and remarkably I went back to work June 10^th, just 4 months later. Today is November 13^th and I had my last appointment with Dr. Norberg. I have 95% range of motion back and full strength and use of my arm. My wife and I will be forever grateful to Dr. Norberg for restoring the full use of my arm. One always hopes but I never really expected the surgery to turn out this good.

10/30/19 was my 4th (6th in the family) separate orthopedic surgery with Dr. Ed Szalapski at Twin Cities Orthopedics. I have known Dr. Szalapski 36 years and know he is a conscientious, thorough, science minded, research based and dedicated orthopedist. So all I can tell you is that it is not by chance my surgical experience has been outstanding in every aspect…diagnosis, surgery and follow-up. I feel fortunate I trusted and selected Dr. Ed Szalapski to be my orthopedic surgeon.

This is just to let you know how pleased I am with the surgery. It is so good to not experience pain, limping, etc. anymore. Dr. Arntson was superb! He takes genuine interest in the patient and also takes time to address any question without making one feel rushed. I chose Dr. Arntson because a friend of mine had him do two shoulder replacements and she couldn’t say enough nice things about him. I have suggested him to several of my friends and two are for sure going to see him. Thank you for a “10” experience. Also, I am very grateful for the kindness shown by the Mercy Hospital staff including the doctor of anesthesiology and his assistant. Both were very understanding and kind.

Hi Dr. Coetzee and team! I hope you all are doing well! I just wanted to give you all an update as I am back to running and working out hard! I don’t even think about my foot anymore when I go out for a run and am pretty much doing the same things I was before my surgery! I am so excited for the season ahead and just wanted to express my gratitude because I wouldn’t be where I am now without the help of all of you! I am sincerely grateful for all of your kindness and generosity, as it made a huge difference in my life. Thank you all again so much for comforting me during my surgery and reassuring me that it would all be OK! I am forever grateful for my experience at Twin Cities Orthopedics. With that, I am hoping to be running an indoor track meet at the University of Minnesota in the middle of February potentially, so if I do end up racing there, I will let you know! 🙂

My hip replacement by Dr. Meyer has changed my physical life. I struggled with neck pain for at least 10 years but after my hip surgery found it much easier to walk upright and correct my posture, which I have done at 65 years old. My chronic neck pain is now 90% gone! And my hip? Incredible! No pain, perfect! I feel whole again!
