My hip replacement was an unqualified success! Thanks to Dr. Owen O’Neill and staff, I now have the joy and freedom of walking without pain and a walker. I was able to take steps immediately after surgery on June 27, 2019 and graduated from a walker to a cane in a week and continued to increase the time walked each day. The best parts are that I have taken extended trips by car and can sit in a theater or in a comfortable chair and enjoy reading or watching television without getting antsy from pain and stiffness. Dr. Owen O’Neill and staff are the real deal. They provide great pre and post-surgery education and follow-up. I’m 79 years old and look forward to more travel and continue being a good grandpa to my three granddaughters and an active husband and a father.

Like so many others I waited too long to have my knee surgery. I am glad I did it. I can walk again!

I met Dr. Deal in 2015 when I started having upper leg pain. An MRI revealed some compound areas to watch but we both agreed on physical therapy. Towards the end of 2018, I started having lower leg and back pain. A new MRI was completed with an additional result of a cyst on my spine. On April 9th, I had L3-S1 lower anterior lumbar fusion and L3-S1 posterior lumbar fusion along with the removal of the cyst. Dr. Deal was very patient with my many questions and explained the procedure in terms I could understand. He made me feel comfortable about having this major surgery. My back and leg pain are gone and I am getting my strength back. I am really enjoying walking again. Dr. Deal is a gifted and skilled surgeon. He is compassionate and caring. I had a total ankle replacement in May with Dr. Tanner. From the first office visit to the last post-op visit, my wife and I were totally impressed with his knowledge and caring attitude. After the first office visit we had we ended up having a few more questions/concerns go through our mind. We called the office with the concerns and Dr. Tanner personally called us back to explain. He came up to my hospital room post-surgery to see how I was doing (not many surgeons themselves do that these days). At the six week f/u visit he took the time to thoroughly examine my ankle (not just having his PA look things over) and he was genuinely interested in my healing process. Many surgeons are a bit “aloof” but Dr. Tanner is not only knowledgeable but passionately concerned about his patients.

After shattering my shoulder, Dr. Bakker did a reverse total shoulder replacement with complications. That was 6 weeks ago. I’m now basically pain free, improving range of motion with physical therapy and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Bakker did an amazing job, given the mess my shoulder was in. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat.

I recently suffered a broken index finger as a result of an accidental injury. I would like to thank Dr. Bakker for performing a delicate surgery on my finger to repair the fracture. Dr. Bakker is a very modest physician who performs surgical miracles. I am eager to see what my finger can now do now that the fracture has been mended, with the assistance of three properly placed pins. If you need a finger specialist, I highly recommend Dr. Bakker!
