I got rheumatoid arthritis when I was 19 years old. Years later, while walking, one of my toe joints broke due to deterioration. I “got a bunion over lunch hour.” I was lucky enough to meet this amazing and wonderful doctor. Within a couple of months, three joints dissolved. Bunion removed, and the joints on the toes removed and fused. NO MORE pain. Dr. McGarvey is my hero. There is no one better and he is worth the wait. I have sent many people to him.

I had torn my meniscus last spring and put up with the pain and put off surgery for almost 8 months. Finally less than two weeks before I was scheduled to go to Peru and visit the ruins of Machu Picchu I decided to go in and have Dr. Heikes scope my knee. The surgery was easier than I anticipated and Dr. Heikes trimmed off the frayed edge of my meniscus as well as removed some floating cartilage. 12 days after surgery I was in Peru climbing Huayna Picchu and to my delight I was pain free. This is considered one of the 20 most dangerous hikes in the world. Thank you Dr. Heikes!

My experience with Dr. Wetter was wonderful. Dr. Wetter was extremely personable, he gave me a thorough evaluation, he spent as much time as I needed answering my questions, explaining my condition to me and my husband, outlining the treatment options and helping me make a treatment decision then having his staff arrange treatment appointments with the appropriate facilities. I couldn’t have been more impressed. I highly recommend Dr. Wetter.

Dear Dr. Christopher Larson,
I would like to thank you and your staff for all the help you gave me with me hip. Two other orthopedics suggested a hip replacement. But at the age of 38 (at that time) the doctors didn’t want to perform a replacement on me. You were able to repair the damage without replacement. Hip surgery was March 2014.
For almost 2 years, I had a hard time making it through a 50 hour work week. I had to avoid some of my activities (hiking, rock climbing, & boating). Riding in a vehicle was difficult, also. But after my hip surgery and physical therapy, I am almost 100%!!! I am very excited to say, I am back to hiking and rock climbing.
My husband and I are currently vacationing in Arizona. Here is a picture of me (circled in green) climbing the Bell Rock in Sedona AZ, 1 year after surgery. I was able to make it half way up this rock (I didn’t want to push it too hard). With a couple more months of training, I will be able to climb the entire rock.
Thanks isn’t enough for what you and your staff have done for me!!!

Dr. Norberg assessed my situation after being “doored” while riding 22 mph on my road bike. He recommended surgery to repair the injury. I completed physical therapy over a 6-9 month period and achieved a range of motion between 80-90%. Three years later my range of motion is near 100% and I have no pain whatsoever. I highly recommend Dr. Frank Norberg.

I have waited too long to do this, but I feel I now must. I want to thank Dr. Hunt for the care I received during my total knee replacement. I can’t say enough about Dr. Hunt, not only as a surgeon, but as person. His skill produces confidence; his calmness provides trust; his kindness elicits relaxation; and his patience shows he is caring. Dr. Hunt and his team are, WITHOUT QUESTION, the most professional and courteous group of care givers I have ever encountered. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

When Brinley was 8 years old, she broke her arm at gymnastics from a very simple “trip and fall” after a cartwheel – it was the day before Christmas. It was odd she broke her arm from a fall like that but strange things happen. Brinley was terrified. We went to another orthopedic center first and the doctor there said, “Her arm will be fine, no need to reset it. She’d regain full range of motion as she grew and the bone straightened out”. She was doing competitive gymnastics and her coach told us to see Dr. Heikes at Twin Cities Orthopedics. We called for a second opinion and got in with Dr. Heikes immediately. Our nightmare turned around the minute we met her. Due to her experience in the sports world, she knew Brinley would need full range of motion as soon as she was healed. She scheduled us for surgery and Brinley’s arm was re-set.
The experience was nothing short of fantastic, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist everyone bent over backwards to make her experience a good one. Brinley’s arm healed up fine and we were back in business. Then, she broke her arm again – in the exact same spot. Dr. Heikes immediately thought something was up and ran blood work. Turns out, Brinley had a big Vitamin D deficiency. If it wasn’t for Dr. Heikes’ thorough treatment, we may never have figured that out and could have been in for many more breaks and fractures as time went on. I cannot say enough about our experience, from the wonderful bedside manner to making special casts for Brinley each time she needed a new one, Christie Heikes and her team went above and beyond. We have returned to Dr. Heikes with all our orthopedic needs over time and have referred many friends to her – and will continue to do so.

I felt completely confident with everyone involved in my procedure and that includes the intake people. I feel that Dr. Crowe and his staff did everything they could to get this old man up and walking with very little discomfort. I am very happy with the outcome!

Dr. Heikes and her team at Twin Cities Orthopedics provided me ‘top notch’ orthopedic care. With her cutting edge surgical training I had minimal pain and swelling with major knee ligament reconstruction. My scar is hardly visible! I have now been able to return to all my sports without limits or worries. Thanks!
