Great job by Dr. Ockuly’s team! I am one week out from hip surgery and have no pain in the joint. I am walking and bending with no issue. The surgery went well. His team answered all of my questions and took time to make sure I did not leave with any unanswered questions, and I do ask a lot of them! I only use one crutch outside since it’s winter and I don’t want to slip. I am walking inside without any aids, although I still grab the side rails going up and down stairs just in case. Overall, they did a great job using modern techniques and tools. TCO, Dr. Ockuly, Anne, Dani, and team made the top list and were absolutely the right choice for me.

I was referred to Dr. Lewis by my chiropractor and my primary physician, who evaluated my sore hip. Dr. Lewis reviewed my hip and found that I have osteoarthritis (bone on bone). He recommended that I have hip replacement surgery (THA). That is not something I wanted to do, but he guided me through the process, alternatives, result of surgery successes and life changes due to it. Needless to say, it was something that needed to be done for my quality of life. Dr. Lewis and his team guided me through the preparation, recommendations for making my recovery easier, and what surgery would entail. Dr. Lewis performed the surgery with zero complications for me. After a few days of pain relievers and Tylenol, I was up and walking. I no longer had the pain I lived with for the previous 6 months. Dr. Lewis was a man of his word when he told me my hip will be like new.

As the Mayor of Plymouth, I am excited to welcome Twin Cities Orthopedics to our community in 2023. As a long time distance runner (23 marathons), I appreciate the care that Dr. Hunt and the EXCEL Program has provided to me. I had meniscus surgery in 2019, again in 2020, and a full hip replacement in 2021. While my long distance running days are over, I’m able to maintain a high quality and active life without pain, continuing to work out and maintain my fitness. I cannot say enough of the great work that TCO is doing and what Dr. Hunt did for me!

My experience with Dr. Owen O’Neill and his team exceeded my expectations. Dr. O’Neill is personable, professional, so knowledgeable, and has the patient’s best interest when proceeding with a procedure. I had hip replacement surgery and would highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of having it to make their quality of life better. I couldn’t walk straight and Dr. O’Neill fixed that. I have my balance back and I’m so happy with the results.

With the advice of professionals and my own research, I was searching for the best doctor and Dr. O’Neill fit the bill on every level. He and his staff were very informative and covered everything that was going to happen and could happen. Ann, his care coordinator, was so timely and helpful with my scheduling and helping me at every turn, even when I had to reschedule. Isabel, Dr. O’Neill’s physician assistant, was so organized and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question. Casey, the other Physician Assistant, was so helpful as well. From the time when I walked in the door at TCO, to the person greeting me, to all of my interactions with staff, and right up to Dr O’Neill himself, everyone was so professional, friendly, and helpful. TCO is like a well-oiled machine with a warm human touch.

My life has been given back to me. I was on a crutch for 8 months. I can walk anywhere with no aids now. I am back at the gym 5-6 days a week, and will resume my golfing this summer. I was back on my feet very quickly with minimal discomfort and virtually little to no pain in the first few days after surgery. Walking normally seems like a miracle and it is. All thanks to Dr. Owen O’Neill and his high expertise, his many years of experience, high volume of surgeries performed, and his excellent staff.If you are looking for a top notch Doctor, then Dr. Owen O’Neill is the one to see for the best results ever!

Having been very active most of my adult life, it was difficult for me to start giving up all the sports I had enjoyed because I couldn’t manage the pain anymore. My doctor and nurse friends recommended Dr. Christopher Meyer and I am SO thankful to have followed through with him and his staff. It’s been 3 months from my surgery and I’m cross country skiing again, lifting weights, and walking at a 15 minute mile pace! I am beyond ecstatic to have my life back. Thank you SO very much Dr. Meyer and your amazing staff!

I had my hip replaced by Dr. Hartigan on November 14^th.  I was up walking that afternoon pain free! What a joy! All the staff at the surgery center and in the EXCEL program were great. I had wonderful care. They took time to discuss options for medications and answered all of my questions. Unlike in a hospital, when I pushed my button for a request, they came instantly. Everyone from the driver of the van, to the support staff, nurses and PT were friendly and kind. I never felt rushed.

Both Dr. Hartigan and his PA, Aaron, have the best bedside manner. They took plenty of time to answer all my questions, and never rushed me out. I always felt very well taken care of. I cannot say enough about the wonderful program. My only suggestion is on some of the TCO branded clothing, it should say “ask me about my new joint!”. Thank you for everything. I am so enjoying life pain free!

Dr. O’Neill and his entire staff are beyond amazing to work with. Four years prior to seeing Dr. O’Neill, I had hip reconstruction for a labrum tear and reshaping of the ball and socket. I was hoping that surgery would be the fix. Eventually I developed severe arthritis and needed a full new hip. My husband had already had a hip and a knee surgery with Dr. O’Neill, so I knew he was my choice for this surgery.

He knew I had a trip planned in November which would require hiking and he promised me I would be ready. I had surgery on August 8, 2022 and was walking in post-op and at the recovery center. I was off a walker and walking with a cane in my neighborhood within 5 days post-op. The only pain I would tell you to be prepared for is the thigh pain. One would assume pain in the surgery area but this was not the case. I had quite a bit of swelling in the hip/thigh for almost 8 weeks. Overall, I felt better and better every day for the first 5 weeks. Note – You MUST WALK a lot and push through the pain! I also would say that until my swelling was gone, my leg felt a little bit longer. Once the swelling was gone it felt perfect!

I unfortunately had a slight set back around week 6, and I ended up getting bursitis in my hip/leg which I found out at my 8-week appt. I did PT for 4 weeks, and then at week 15 I was able to climb Machu Picchu with ZERO PAIN! We were on a trip to Peru where we walked or hiked every day and my average steps per day were between 13,500 – 17,500. We averaged 7/8 miles a day! So, when Dr. O’Neil tells you that you will be able to anything you want after 12 weeks, he is 100% correct! Just have to put your mind to your rehab/recovery and you can do it. I have referred him to several people and will continue to do so! Thank you again for everything!

I would give Dr. Michael Nemanich five stars! I cannot tell you how relieved and thankful I am for the excellent care I received from him and his incredible team! I highly recommend him. I had been suffering from right hip pain for over a year, which progressively got worse. I am 66 years old and had just retired. My hip arthritis prevented me from doing all of the activities I loved to do; play with my grandchildren, play pickleball, go for hikes, long walks and dancing. I saw Dr. Michael Nemanich and selected him to do my surgery after a thorough review of his exceptional credentials and reviews. Dr. M. Nemanich and his team took such great care of me from admission to discharge and post-op.

My procedure was done through their EXCEL program which is a BEST IN PRACTICE process for joint replacements. It has been fine tuned to provide patients with the best outcome and best experience. It is like a well-oiled machine. There was not one blip in the entire procedure. From the friendly gal that admitted me, to the wonderful and caring surgical nurses, to the recovering nurses at the post op-care suites, I felt so cared for. The care suites were like a upscale hotel! I am now two months post-op and I am back to working out at the gym and walking almost two miles a day, with no cane, no pain, and I’m playing with my grandchildren again.
