The service at the Orthopedic Institute starts at the front door. The entrance staff were ready to answer questions and provide directions. When we arrived on our designated floor, the greeting was warm and welcoming. No waiting, just ‘How are you?’ and ‘How can we help?’

The nursing team quickly brought us back to begin the process, offering a wheelchair to make it easier to reach the pre-surgery room. Once inside, the nurses immediately started pre-op preparations. Their expertise put us at ease. This staff is different from a general hospital. They are highly trained in orthopedic care. They knew how to provide the support and care that gave me confidence in a successful surgery and the chance to return to what I love, hiking in the mountains.

I have had two knee replacements, and based on my experience, I will always choose the Orthopedic Institute first.

I was terrified before my surgery and got to the point that I thought about cancelling it. Thankfully, I did not. The EXCEL program was awesome! From the very start, I felt well cared for. I loved the overnight suite! It felt more like a hotel. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The entire process went smoother than I expected, especially from hearing and reading amazing stories prior. My scar is also super narrow and incredibly straight. Overall, I am extremely happy with the work of Dr. Barry, Becca Munson, and my physical therapist Amy Holst. Thank you to them all including everyone at the Blaine Orthopedic Surgery Center.

It is not an easy decision to choose a surgeon. I read up on Dr. Bircher and decided to set up an appointment with him. He was very patient with all my questions, and he started me on physical therapy, cortisone, and finally a gel shot. He did not rush you into getting a replacement but we both came to that conclusion after some time. The surgery went well as did my recovery. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Bircher. He even prayed with my husband and I. How lucky I was to find him!

I had my one-year follow-up visit after total knee replacement surgeries on both knees. My knees are great with no more stiffness, pain, or arthritis. I can enjoy a normal quality of life again. If you are experiencing knee pain and considering surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Jason Barry and Rebecca Munson, PA-C. They are great!

My left shoulder was a mess from a car accident, arthritis, a fall from a ladder, and life in general. I had almost no strength in my arm and I couldn’t lift it above shoulder height. It really hurt! I had gotten a couple of cortisone shots to help with the pain, and it did work for a while.

After speaking with Dr. Pressman, he suggested shoulder replacement surgery. My rotator cuff was also torn, and the replacement would not only fix my shoulder ailments, but it would keep me in a sling for only two weeks. From my understanding, a rotator cuff surgery puts you in a sling for about six weeks, so a shorter timeline was great. I signed up for the procedure right then and there.

The entire process at the TCO Surgery Center went amazingly well. I spent the night in Edina and was out the next morning. I had physical therapy appointments scheduled and a fresh set of Under Armor “duds” they dressed me in. The care was phenomenal! I breezed through my two weeks, got rid of the sling, and started my final stretch of the recovery. Everyday got better as time went on. After about a month, I would go days where I didn’t even think about my shoulder. That was a sure sign that things were headed in the right direction.

I have a few weeks of scheduled recovery left but I am functioning well and back to doing some things that I have avoided for the past year. Best of all, I am pain free. Dr. Pressman and Raquel at TCO Eden Prairie made a great team and it was a pleasure to do business with them. On a 1 to 10 scale; they are a 12!

I saw Dr. Eggers for pain in my lower back and hips. I was thoroughly impressed during my initial visit. After listening to my symptoms, I found that his knowledge was confirmed by an MRI that I received shortly after that consultation. He was also very honest about his practice. I sincerely appreciated that. I was also comforted that he would take the time to discuss my condition, concerns, and treatment. I feel that I am in excellent hands when seeing Dr. Eggers.

Dr O’Neill and his team were very professional. They don’t waste any time, and they responded very quickly with any questions I had. My new hip is remarkable. I am 10-weeks post-surgery, and I can do anything I want to do. I got on the pickleball court last week and everything works great which was not true before surgery. I have been seen by Dr. Bloom for the past several years. He is always willing to discuss treatment options. I have never felt rushed, and he always provides great advice.
