I was referred to Dr. O’Neill by another orthopedic doctor who felt the best way to fix all that was wrong with my hip was to replace it. At 56 years old, a hip replacement certainly was not on my radar. Dr. O’Neill and his team were incredibly kind and took the time to answer all my questions and encouraged me to take all the time I needed to make a decision.

I am so grateful to have my life back and be able to do all the things I enjoy!! The surgery and the EXCEL program were amazing! I was walking without the assistive device on day 3. I also rented the NICE machine, and it was a game changer for icing after surgery. I drove 2.5 hours one way to see Dr O’Neill and would do it again, if needed. Thank you so very much for getting me back to an active life!

After surgery in January, I was able to start physical therapy with Brett Petersen a month later. Not only did I appreciate his honesty in my recovery, but his personalized treatment plan for me was motivating and thorough. Each week he listened and provided me with new exercises to aid in my recovery so I could return to normal activities. I’m grateful for all Brett did for me.

I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my hip replacement surgery. Dr O’Neill and his staff were exceptional. I am nine weeks post-operation and am able to walk 5-6 miles per day without pain. I would highly recommend Dr O’Neill for anyone needing a hip replacement.

I was recommended to Dr. O’Neill when it was determined I needed a hip replacement, and I am forever grateful for that recommendation. Dr. O’Neill performed anterior hip replacement surgery and answered all of my questions. The care Dr. O’Neill and his team provide is wonderful. In less than two weeks I could handle any discomfort with just Tylenol and Ibuprofen. It has now been ten weeks since surgery and I can go about all my normal activities, including golf and extended walks. Walking is very important to me, and I was unable to go more than a few blocks prior to surgery. Now I’m doing five miles with no trouble. I highly recommend Dr. O’Neill; he is a top-rated surgeon.

Dr. Meisterling and his team were outstanding for my hip replacement procedure and my postoperative care! I have no pain, and the rehab went extremely well. In February I finally scheduled my hip replacement surgery. I was in so much discomfort and pain. This was my first time at TCO, and I was assigned to Dr. Bircher. After my first exam with him I knew I was in good hands. I had my surgery, and it was the best thing I could’ve done for myself. I had a great experience with Dr. Nessler and his staff. He is very patient and thorough with assessments and what my expectation should be. I am so grateful for Dr. Bircher and the very successful total hip replacement surgery he performed. He did the anterior approach which was an amazing surgery and recovery compared to the very painful, difficult lateral/posterior surgery I had done 2 years ago with a different surgeon. WOW is what comes to mind when I think about the before and after my total hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Owen O’Neill at TCO. At age 58, I didn’t think that I was “old” enough to have a joint replacement, but my active lifestyle became more and more limited. Once the “bone on bone” feeling started in my left hip, I knew it was time. The pain was prohibitive, and I could no longer enjoy my favorite activities, even walking! I have to say, the minimally invasive surgery went perfectly under Dr. O’Neill’s expert care. Within 9 days post-surgery, I was walking around the house without assistance.
