I had a double mastectomy in June 2024 and began working with Ingrid Weddig for physical therapy 3-weeks later. I was very nervous since my surgery was a choice due to a BRCA mutation and not related to cancer. Some people do not agree with a flat closure for the surgery, but that is what I chose to have done. I was surprised that it didn’t matter why I was there or what closure I had decided on, I was always given the best care from Ingrid. She asked me about my goals and what activities I wanted to work towards. She tailored my therapy to exactly what I needed and when I needed it. She answered all my questions and calmed my fears. I could tell how much experience she had as she easily navigated any of my struggles that appeared during the recovery process. Once she learned I was scheduled for a revision surgery, she adjusted her plan for me again so I could best prepare my body to go into surgery strong. I am happy to say that I am almost 100% back to normal. Most days, I don’t even realize I had surgery at all. Ingrid made my recovery so much easier, and I am so thankful that my surgeon referred me to her and Twin Cities Orthopedics. I had a fantastic experience with TCO!

My experience with Dr. Ridley was the best I could have asked for. When I found out I had torn my hip labrum, I was anxious. I didn’t know what the process would look like at all, especially because I am an avid runner and have may more marathons to run in my life. Thankfully, his expertise and skill quickly put me at ease. The surgery went perfectly, and I started recovering quickly.

About two months after my first procedure, I started having pain in my other hip. I messaged Dr. Ridley right away to find out if I should be seen. He was able to get me in quickly to find out if I had torn my other labrum, which I had. We got a surgery date on the calendar without delay, and the second surgery went even better than the first!

I am now 6 weeks into recovery from my second hip surgery and 19 weeks from the first. I could not be happier with my decision to be treated at TCO with Dr. Ridley. He is personable, caring, and an expert at what he does. He and his team answered all of my questions. They always made me feel comfortable and empowered during my journey. I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with a similar issue!

Dr. Bircher and the TCO staff were amazing. Dr. Bircher replaced my hip after my husband went through the same process two months earlier. I had my other hip replaced two years ago through my regular healthcare system. Both were successful but my recovery was much faster with TCO. I didn’t feel like I was just a “number” with Dr. Bircher.

My husband and I were each in the EXCEL program after our procedures. We stayed overnight in one of their surgery care suites and had physical therapy before being released the next morning. It was much easier to understand the recovery process during physical therapy sessions versus just being handed a booklet. Every employee in the EXCEL program was awesome.

Dr. Bircher was kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell he is invested in his patients and their success. My hip journey may be done but you cannot go wrong with Dr. Bircher at TCO!

Dr. Barry and his team are truly amazing! He is exceptionally competent and skilled. Equally as important, he is kind. He understood all my circumstances to help create a plan so I could deal with my knees until I could have the surgery. I am two months post-op and walking as much as I did two years ago, even at a slightly faster speed. Dr. Barry and Rebecca are the best! I totally trust them.

I met with Dr. Bircher several times before going ahead with my procedure. I found him informative, direct, and caring. The replacement was success with minimal post-operative pain. There is no question about who I will select to replace my other knee.

I was really impressed with the whole experience at TCO Woodbury. I was able to get an appointment the next day, and the staff was incredibly friendly staff. Dr. Michael R Johnson was the best at treating me. He took the time to explain what the plan was and told me to give him a call if I had any additional questions.

It has been three months since I had a total knee replacement, and I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Bircher and the EXCEL Program at the Plymouth Surgery Center. I have seen Dr. Bircher for treatment for the past two years before it was decided that we move forward with the replacement. Throughout that time, he heard my concerns, offered suggestions, made recommendations, and provided support. I believe Dr. Bircher and his team set themselves apart by not making me feel rushed during appointments and truly listening to my questions and concerns. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Bircher as my surgeon and I plan to use him again when it’s comes time for surgery on my other knee!

Dr. Bircher did an excellent job with my robotic knee replacement surgery on July 3, 2025. My family and friends cannot believe how well I am moving around after just a few weeks. I would definitely recommend him and his team.
