Total left knee replacement on July 23, 2020. Dr. Brian O’Neill did a fantastic surgery! I let his team know that I could not handle narcotics, without getting severely sick after surgery. They took that information and decided that they would do a spinal on me instead. I said YES! It will be three weeks this Thursday, and all I’ve used was Tylenol and ibuprofen, and now I’m down to Tylenol when needed. Dr. O’Neill is very professional, very kind, a great listener and made me feel calm. The staff he has is also great, answering any questions I had before and after surgery. My bandage was removed after one week, and the incision looked the best I’ve ever seen. They did a great job stitching me up and I’m already ahead of the game with therapy. There’s less and less pain each day, but it’s good pain as some therapy can be harsh but is well worth it. I can’t say enough about Dr. O’Neill and his God given talent!

Dr. Chris Meyer and his team (Cara and Summer) did a great job replacing my knee. I had a severe Meniscus tear and stress fracture which was eliminated by a full knee replacement. I am still recovering 6 months later but am back to my daily routine of activities with less pain. With continued exercise and stretching, my recovery is on schedule. I plan to have my right knee done next fall!

I can’t say enough about Dr. Edward Szalapski as a Doctor. My family doctor referred me to him when I needed my right hip replaced in 1998. He said he would not send me to anyone that he would not send his own family member to. Dr Szalapski fit that bill, he is a caring down to earth person. I remember telling him he had to do a good job because my grandkids wanted to play with their grandma. You know he cares about his patients when in November 1998 after having my right hip replaced, he came to see how I was doing late in the evening at the hospital.

Then in November 2009 I had my left knee replacement, left hip replacement October 2010, right hip socket replaced 2018 after 20 years. Then Dr. Szalapski did my carpel tunnel right hand in April, 2019 and the carpel tunnel left hand in May, 2019. I believe in his work so much I changed my health carrier as his office was not going to be in the network. This year I needed my right knee replaced and I am so glad I can still have Dr. Szalapski as my Orthopedic physician.

Dr. Chris Meyer is a very pro surgeon. He doesn’t waste words but knows his business well. I would recommend his services and also his assistant Sommer Vaughn, PA-C. Choose this group for your surgery and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It took me less than a year to completely recover from my knee replacement. I’m not running marathons, but I can make it up stairs without pain now!!

I came to Dr. Szalapski with a lifetime of knee pain. I had my first scope at 13 years old and I’m 40 now. Because of my age I had been dismissed often for replacements. Dr. Szalapski took the time to actually listen to my issues and care about me, as a person, not just a statistic. Over the last three years, he has replaced both of my knees. I’ve never been so excited to play ball again, or ride bike with my kids. Thanks to Dr. Szalapski and his care team of Tracy Chisholm, PA & his medical office guru Jessica, this team makes it almost seem easy. They are wonderful to work with and truly care about you as an individual. They have changed my life for the better. They can help you too!!

Dr. Christopher Meyer and all medical staff were great, very pleasant and really seemed to know what they were doing. Following my total knee replacements, all the sharp pain I was having in my knees is gone and I can function again.

Dr. Lewis was wonderful in the replacing and recovery on my knee. Very compassionate and always took time to listen to my concerns. I will highly recommend him to my family and friends.

I had a knee replacement with Dr. Arntson on June 2, 2020. The surgery went so well, I cannot say anything bad about the care I received from Dr. Arntson and his team. It was so good and I get to go back to work on July 13. I feel great.

I first saw Dr. Marek for my broken knee cap, a shot in my hand for my trigger finger, then trigger finger surgery and when my daughter broke her arm. Since it’s been a few years, of course I need to go back for my other hand and about to call today. In other words, my family and I are doing all we can to keep Dr. Marek busy! Ha, and we trust him implicitly.

Prior to surgery, I was bone on bone with both knees and in very much pain, relying on a cane to walk. After surgery with Dr. Dieterle, I’m now able to resume activities at a near normal level and feeling good again.
