Having my knee replaced has given me back the ability to move and live without pain. Dr. Meyer is an amazing surgeon, everything from pre-surgery to the actual surgery to post surgery has gone very smoothly and just as Dr. Meyer described. And my incision scar is very minimal even just a month after surgery! Doing all the pre-surgery and post-surgery exercises have also played a key role in my recovery, just as Dr. Meyer said. I will definitely go back to Dr. Meyer if I have any other joint issues and I highly recommend him as a surgeon.

I went through 30+ years of pain, limited range of motion, and off and on limping. Now my knee feels 95% like normal. I can golf with no issues, take long walks, climb stairs, and live life. This surgery with Dr. Meyer has been amazing and I am very grateful.

Before the surgery with Dr. Knowlan, I could hardly walk 1 block and my knee and ankle would swell up and hurt and would need help getting up from a chair. After the surgery, I am able to walk a lot more, I feel I will be able to walk the 2 to 3 miles like I used to before my knee problem and I can move around a lot more and do not need help getting up from a chair.

I was 70 years old at the time of my injury and I was on my way to work. I stopped at Panera to get coffee for my co-worker and myself. I fell on my way back to my car and landed directly on my knee on the cement. I was brought to Fariview Southdale Hospital, where it was determined that I had shattered my knee cap. Dr. Corey Wulf was the Orthopedic Surgeon on call that day and said to my daughter, “it is a really bad break.” I was in surgery the same day and spent 5 days in the hospital and was then sent to Masonic Home for rehab. Dr. Wulf had to literally put my knee cap back together like a puzzle and then used heavy duty stitches and other hardware to hold it all together. It was undetermined if I would be able to walk without an assistive device any longer.

Dr. Wulf was caring and compassionate throughout the entire process and I could not have asked for a better surgeon and team. I am happy to say that I am walking independently without an assistive device today and have returned to doing most things I was doing before the accident. I thank Dr. Wulf and his team for the wonderful care that he provided me and my family.

Dr. Arntson is a very humble but extraordinary doctor. His ability to work with patients and together come up with a plan to fit their needs is remarkable. I was able to plan my surgery at the best possible time for me and my knee. After my surgery, I had no pain. That’s right – no pain. The only pain I had was when I did my physical therapy.

Dr. Arntson was careful with the procedure, making sure that I did not get an infection. I searched and researched a long time to find a great surgeon, and I found one. I will recommend Dr. Arntson to anyone who needs a great surgeon. And he’s Norwegian!

Extreme pain prior to surgery and a hard time sleeping. Now I can walk normally with no pain. Still have some stiffness if I sit a long time but that goes away after I walk a couple of steps. Very happy with Dr. Meyer. He did a good job.

I am continuing to heal. I appreciate very much the high level of care that I have received through this entire process with all involved from Dr. Meyer, TCO, and Ridgeview Medical Center! I look forward to my knee fully healed.

I was a very active person who hiked, biked, played tennis two hours a day, lifted weights and did many things during the day. My knee was very worn out and I became extremely debilitated. My pain was at a 10 and walking was extremely difficult as was sleeping. I felt like I couldn’t do anything without intense pain. After I had the surgery and went through strenuous physical therapy, I am now back to doing everything I like to do without pain. It took approximately 4 1/2 months to get back playing high-level tennis and now I’m playing three hours a day. I had absolutely no idea that I could feel as good as I feel doing the things that I love. I would have the surgery again if needed! Dr. Meyer did a great job! I would highly recommend him. The nurses and the support team were fabulous too.

My issues were not knee replacements but repairing and removing my meniscus. Dr. Comfort repaired my right meniscus 2 years ago. And just 3 weeks ago, he repaired the left meniscus. Dr. Comfort and his team, Ashton (PA) and Molly (CA), are the best from start to finish! I recommend Dr. Comfort to anyone I know (and even people I don’t) when it comes to a trusting and honest surgeon. I have known Dr. Comfort and his team for 3 years now and consider them my friends! Thank you.

Speaking for the surgery itself, I am already amazed after only 5 weeks, how much of the pain I was having in my knee before the surgery that is now basically gone. There is mild pain from the surgical process itself but I can tell that within months I will be able to do activities that I was severely restricted in doing before the surgery.

This renewed ability will allow me to continue work in my outdoor adventure ministry that would have been restricted otherwise! I can, with confidence, say that this is a life-changing procedure that I have had done.

I would also like to add that the whole process from diagnosis to follow-up has been extraordinary. The care that I have received has been far above my expectations. Dr. Meyer’s diagnosis, recommendations and, of course, his surgical skill have been excellent! Then, the care and follow-up by Sommer, the care by staff at the hospital and Aurora (Rachel!) and Alyssa at PCO, Burnsville for PT was absolutely amazing. Excellent experience!
