I am from California and was visiting my son and his family in Woodbury, MN. I slipped on ice, fell and broke my wrist. I saw both Dr. Holmes and Dr. Karlstad at Twin Cities Orthopedics. I was very emotional to learn I needed surgery. The doctors, their nurses and office staff were so thorough, accommodating, and helpful. They were prepared to get me into surgery as soon as possible. They helped me make the decision to go home early and have the surgery there. I appreciate being a visitor, the time they spent with me, and resources they provided. I highly recommend Twin Cities Orthopedics!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received at Twin Cities Orthopedics. From the reception staff, to the nurses, therapists and the great job Dr. Lewis did on my knee, it was a great experience overall. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else do my right knee surgery when I have that replaced. I would highly recommend TCO, and especially Dr. Lewis, to everyone I know who is looking to have any surgical procedure done.

I want to thank Dr. Harris for being willing to schedule me for surgery on his day off, when he and his family were trying to leave for Florida. I was a brand new patient he had never met. I am astounded at his kindness and generosity. Immediate surgery was the best Christmas present I have ever received. Also, many thanks to his family who allowed him to do my surgery that day. I was in pain and not sleeping well since my injury in November 2022. Initially, I was told the surgery could take a few weeks to be scheduled. I was going to be patient and wait for my surgery, but I didn’t understand that my broken disc could move and cause the possible loss of bladder and bowel function. I am an active person and definitely would have done something to make that worse. My family and I are so grateful for Dr. Harris. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. Parker Hanson and his staff did an excellent job helping me overcome a frozen shoulder. He worked efficiently and methodically at diagnosing the problem in a single session. He performed tests to rule out other causes (like tears and fractures) and aligned the treatment with the root cause of my pain, which ended up being a freezing shoulder. After the diagnosis and one additional visit, he efficiently conducted an outpatient procedure, which dramatically reduced the overall time spent regaining mobility in my frozen shoulder. Having previously gone through a frozen shoulder experience, which lasted many months, I can say Dr. Hanson’s treatment method has sped up my overall recovery time.

Dr. Ockuly was a wonderful physician to work with. He cares for every patient and person works with. You couldn’t picked a better orthopedic physician!

Dr. Cooper repaired my knee in 2016 when I was 19 years old. I first injured my knee when I was 17. I continued to play sports even though I was told I had torn my ACL. I can count eight different events over the two years where I popped something and couldn’t move my leg for days. Dr. Cooper told my family it would be a two hour surgery. He got in there and really took his time, with my meniscus in particular. The surgery took almost 5 hours because of his dedication to giving me the best treatment possible. I remember him telling me how he sutured my meniscus together piece by piece instead of just cutting it out because I was so young. Knock on wood, my knee has been incredible after I completed physical therapy. I am forever grateful for the amazing work Dr. Cooper did for me. Thank you so much!!

Roughly one year ago, in January 2022, my wife Martha broke her right leg in an accident at home. Dr. Omar was the on-call physician who was able to correct her right leg. Dr. Omar was very impressive and gave us confidence that he would be able to set the broken bone and that her recovery would be long, but she will be able to get back normal activities eventually.

Dr. Omar communicated exceptionally well and made us confident that, with good follow up and physical therapy, Martha would have a normal recovery. Martha is strong willed and determined to not be stopped by her condition. At every follow up visit, Dr. Omar continued to encourage her and explained in detail how well she was progressing. Patients need confidence and assurance that their condition will improve. Through his communication style, Dr. Omar made us believe and understand that all would be well. With PT and hard work, she is totally recovered in one year and doing great. Thanks Dr. Omar!

Dr. Mittelsteadt is the greatest. He was the first of many foot doctors that I’ve seen that actually talked to me. He showed me why I was in pain and told me what he could and offers his help. He talks to me and answers any questions I have. When I have my appointments, he shows up and goes over surgery expectations in detail. He explains what I should be doing to keep my foot healthy. He talks TO me and not AT me. The members of his care team have been a wonderful addition to my care as well. I don’t like doctors, so I know when I find a good one!

These are the most wonderful doctor and nurses I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Arntson did my surgery and here I am, 5 weeks later, feeling like he gave me a new lease on life. I’m more active now than I have been in years. Dr. Arntson gave me my life back, as did the wonderful staff at the hospital, the clinic, and my physical therapist. Thank you to everyone, especially Dr. Arntson. It was an incredibly great experience!

I was told I had a significant tear in my rotator cuff, with bone spurs and arthritis. Dr. Lewis was straight to the point and gave me his recommendation to have surgery, but ultimately it was my choice. I did not hesitate in making an appointment for surgery. Dr. Lewis and the staff at TCO were professional and very kind. After surgery I went to physicial therapy at TCO. My physical therapists, Chris and Amy, where great. They were very personal, made me feel comfortable, and worked with me through recovery. I am 6 months post-surgery and my shoulder is back to normal, with no pain! I am sleeping at night with no issues. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis and TCO.
