My hip issue developed rather suddenly. I fell from standing twice and then could bear little weight on my left side. The first MD I saw suggested that I buy a car with a higher seat. My physician referred me to an orthopedist and scheduled an MRI which showed non-displaced fractures, tearing and necrosis. Surgery was necessary. I read about my options. When asked specifically about the minimally invasive technique, the first orthopedist said that I was “too fat”. I asked for a second opinion and was scheduled to meet Dr. Owen O’Neill who stated that he now prefers to perform minimally invasive procedures because of a patient’s improved recovery time. Dr. O’Neill patiently addressed all of my questions and concerns and I was scheduled for surgery in a hospital. I had had my wisdom teeth extracted decades before, but was otherwise inexperienced in the surgical arena. Dr. O’Neill was very reassuring and I felt confident in his care. I was up and walking later that day and took a midnight hike with my nurse. I was discharged the following day, encountered no subsequent problems and recovered smoothly over the next three months. I’ve been available to shovel snow much too late in the season and have returned to Curves. I need to excuse myself now to dust off my golf clubs and put air in my bike tires. I would recommend Dr. O’Neill, his PA Jesse Donovan and Ann, the power behind the telephone, without reservation.

I’ve had three hand surgeries with Dr. Fischer. He is THE hand guy in MN. Transplants in both thumbs due to arthritis and trigger finger surgery in two fingers. This man is talented. The arthritis in my thumbs hurt so bad I couldn’t sleep. So, I decided to have the transplant surgery. Recovery took about a month. Eight years later, my thumbs are still perfect…no pain…I can do everything I want to do again. If you need this type of surgery, don’t be afraid. Recovery is quick and results are perfect. Dr. Fischer is the right guy to do this.

I am still referring friends to Dr. O’Neill. I am like a kid again. After my hip replacement, I have no pain and am feeling terrific. Changed life as I knew it as a young woman. Thanks again Dr. Brian O’Neill.

Dr. Asp is the most skilled and knowledgeable doctor and surgeon I have ever met. He has great bedside manner, and really cares. Can’t say enough good things about him!

I was referred to Dr. Peterson by the Department of Veteran affairs. The care provided by Dr. Peterson and his staff of professionals is of the highest quality. I was informed from the first appointment as to the complexity of the surgery and the expected outcome, Dr. Peterson and his staff provided therapy protocol that I could give to Minneapolis VA Medical Center under the Veterans Choice Program. The therapy was approved. I believe my outcome and eventual end result will be exactly what Dr. Peterson said to expect. Not like an original but near normal function without the pain.

Dr. Hamilton did an outstanding job repairing my bicep tendon and decompressing the nerves. Although I haven’t regained full strength yet, my arm feels great and I think it’s just a matter of time. As happy as I am with the results, I also want to say how wonderful Dr. Hamilton is. Prior to surgery, she asked about and listened to my concerns, my lifestyle and my expectations for a realistic outcome before we decided to go ahead with surgery. Truly, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome!

I had been having problems with a bad knee for well over a year. I had an appointment with Dr. Thomas Comfort who recommended a total knee replacement. The appointment was very thorough, I left with a great understanding of what to expect. They covered everything from pre-surgery to full recovery. On 02/15/18, Dr. Thomas Comfort performed my surgery at the Fairview Hospital in Wyoming, MN. Everything went well as I had been told it would. It is now 04/28/18 and although they say it takes up to six months for full recovery, I am feeling great. I highly recommend Twin Cities Orthopedic and Dr. Thomas Comfort.

Dr. Barry and his staff are the best in the business. When I was going in for surgery I almost backed out but the staff made me feel so comfortable it was amazing. My nurse Nichole was great and the way the entire staff treated my wife and son after I was done was the best I could of ever ask for. But it doesn’t stop there! What Dr. Barry’s staff did after my surgery is of the charts, calling to check on me and assisting me in my troubles with insurance for my prescription. The staff is on top of it, calling with updates on what is going on so thank you all. I feel great and my family thanks you all.

I have been blessed with good health until my mid-sixties and then out of nowhere, one hip and then a few months later, the other hip essentially locked me up in severe pain. I couldn’t even walk across a skyway in downtown Minneapolis, where I worked, without stopping and catching my breath it was so painful. I reached out to someone who is familiar with the “physician/medical community” and he referred me to Dr. Wetter. Long story short, Dr. Wetter replaced both of my hips within a few months of each other.
