Dr. Dieterle replaced my left shoulder and the caliber of his workmanship and skill level is incomprehensible! Within 3 days post-surgery I was using my left arm for pretty much everything that I needed to. My pain level was next to nothing, and within 3 weeks I was able to do anything that I wanted to. By the 7th week, I could say it’s as if I never had it replaced. It is performing as well as my shoulder did when I was young. This is attributed to his skill level. In my opinion, Dr. Dieterle is a marvelous surgeon.

Dr. Mair performed my surgery on a Monday morning and I was home in the afternoon. The following Monday I kept my arm in the sling but I went dancing. After a couple of weeks, I was back to volunteering. I had very little pain and took very few meds. For two weeks I slept in a recliner and iced almost constantly during the day. Once I started rehab, I did daily exercises for about two months and intermittently for about six months. I am so glad I did this surgery. I have complete pain-free movement,  except I can’t quite get my arm completely behind my back, which Dr. Mair had told me before the surgery. I golf, garden, dance, fix my hair, and do everything I want to do. He was so nice to work with. His assistant Cody Plaisance, PA-C was always available and also very helpful and pleasant. Several friends have had various surgeries with Dr. Mair and we all agree he is the greatest!

Dr. Norberg performed a shoulder replacement surgery in June 2023. I had been having daily pain and discomfort with most activity, due in part to a bad injury in my late 20’s that damaged my deltoid muscle and the nerves serving that muscle. I also had substantial arthritic changes to the joint. I really appreciate that Dr. Norberg was willing to take on this challenging shoulder surgery.

He and his staff were very supportive and encouraging to me during my recovery and progress in PT post-surgery. I currently have very little discomfort in the shoulder, and my movements and activities that I had to limit previous to my surgery are now much easier and unrestricted. I feel like I have my life back. Dr. Norberg’s skill and expertise were excellent. I would recommend him to anyone with shoulder injuries who require this type of surgery.

My total reverse shoulder repair was amazing. It was an easy surgery and recovery. I am very pleased with Dr. Norberg and his staff.

One year ago Dr. Frank Norberg reconstructed my right shoulder due to a massive rotator cuff tear. He modified my superior capsular reconstruct with autologous biceps tendon. He said my only other option was a complete shoulder replacement. After one day of post-surgery pain I began to heal.

Dr. Norberg, his assistant Kayla Brown, PA-C and the rest of the TCO staff assisted me every step of the way. Once I started physical therapy, I continued to heal and gain strength. I attribute the quick healing process in my shoulder to Dr. Norberg’s superior work. I was able to return to work full time as a Police Officer without restrictions in just 4 months.

My right shoulder is nearly 100% and often feels and operates stronger than my left one. I cannot thank Dr. Norberg enough for his highly skilled expertise, knowledge of his occupation, and overall care in the surgery he provided me with. His professionalism is second to none and highly recommend he and his staff for any operation in his field the reader maybe considering.

I received a left total knee replacement in October 2022. I am totally satisfied with the results.  I have full mobility and no pain. Dr. Szalapski also performed a left shoulder replacement in 2014 and a right shoulder reverse replacement in 2018. Again, the results were 100% satisfaction with no pain and full mobility. I highly recommended Dr. Szalapski!

Dr. Norberg did an outstanding job in reverse replacements and matching both shoulders. He accomplished a miracle with the right shoulder, which had been seriously damaged in a fall. After the double replacement, I fell and shattered my right collarbone which he also perfectly repaired.

After abusing my shoulders for 28 years of farming, 42 years of employment as a nurse, and spending months in a wheelchair following complications of right hip replacement, I was in constant pain in both shoulders. The pain affected every aspect of daily living, from sleeping and dressing to preparing meals, and being able to safely drive my CRV.

The process began with an appointment for a CT of my right shoulder and meeting Dr. Norberg. The wait for the creation of glenoid prosthesis began. With both shoulders replaced and PT completed, I am back to doing everything I need to do in my daily living. I feel the best I have for over five years! Dr. Norberg answered all of my questions with an explanation I understood. Dr. Norberg has a surgical talent and a talent in communicating with his patients, which makes for a smooth recovery. Dr. Norberg said I was a rock star during the process and when recovery was complete. I feel Dr. Norberg is the true rock star!

I needed help with my left shoulder that had a failed first replacement. I was in a lot of pain and had lessened flexibility. Dr. Leafblad replaced the bad joint with a new reverse joint. The operation was just great. I have no pain now and the shoulder has all of the flexibility, motion, and utility I hoped for.

Two rotator cuff surgeries (for different types of repairs) left me with no pain but lack of range of motion. I totally trusted Dr. Norberg when he told me a reverse replacement would give me back the use of my right arm. I cannot begin to express my appreciation to Dr. Norberg and his team for their care and skills. The rehab was thorough and when I went back for the follow up appointments, I was thrilled to learn I was way ahead of schedule! One year post-op, I feel I have total use of my arm. I am reaching for the top shelf of my cupboards, lifting, and carrying (all with limitations, of course). I am completely satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Dr. Norberg to anyone with shoulder issues. He is absolutely the best!
