I’ve had numerous issues for several years related to osteoarthritis in both knees. TCO did a good job responding to flare-ups and kept me going for as long as my knees would allow. But as my 60th birthday approached, bringing with it my retirement, I wanted to take more definitive action to put the flare-ups behind me and ensure I was fully able to enjoy the very active retirement plans ahead of me.

With the decision to go for a bilateral total knee replacement, the EXCEL program made great sense. The program provided a ton of information, clearly set my expectations and prepared me for the surgery and recovery. It took me from planning through surgery, overnight recovery, physical therapy and all follow-up appointments. It was a true team approach and absolutely comprehensive.

My team, led by Dr. Kelly, was fantastic. His PA, the nurses, PTs, anesthesiologists, office professionals, and even the van driver, were all very attentive and great at what they do. It’s now been nearly 10 months since my first surgery and nearly 8 months since the second TKR. I walk several miles daily, I’m doing all the things I used to do before my knees turned against me, and I‘m enjoying the retirement activity I‘d been looking forward to. The rehab wasn’t the most fun I’ve ever had, but it was completely manageable and I have no regrets. If I had to do it again, I’d go right back to Dr. Kelly and the EXCEL program.

I had to have my left hip replaced at only 52 years old. I was scared to do it but Dr. Peterson seemed to really have an understanding of what was needed and was able to put my mind at ease. The surgery went very well and everyone at the Fairview Hospital in Wyoming was fantastic. I needed to be able to get back to work in the gardens and on the tractor as soon as possible. The gardening took a little longer but I was able to get on the mower and tractor by weeks two and three (with a little help from my husband). My one year check-up was this past summer and it’s like I never even had hip trouble.

Before my surgery I was not able to do my daily work activities. I am an electrician and it was tough to climb a ladder, walk and go in and out of trenches. I was 48 when I got a new hip. Everyone says ‘why so young’? Dr. Meyer said that my new hip will outlast me. My wife says I walk straighter and am a lot easier to be around!

I came to Dr. Deal for a herniated disc with neurological deficits on my left side. After looking at my MRI he recommended a microdiscectomy. He was patient in answering all my questions, quick to explain pros and cons of surgery, and made me feel heard and understood. For 4 weeks prior to surgery all I was able to do was lie in bed, and the afternoon following surgery I was standing and walking around. Seeing Dr. Deal and following his recommendation for surgery literally changed my life.

Right from the start I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Arntson. He told me everything I needed to know about my right hip replacement surgery and answered all of my questions. I felt confident and positive about Dr. Arntson and the surgery, which I believe helped the outcome. I feel great! I felt good right after the surgery and it only improved as time went on. Here at the 4 week mark I have no pain and my mobility is amazing. This surgery with Dr. Arntson is near to miraculous. I have my life back and I know shortly I will be able to do all the things I love to do. I know that if I need this procedure in my left hip in the future, Dr. Arntson will be my go to doctor. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Having my knee replaced has given me back the ability to move and live without pain. Dr. Meyer is an amazing surgeon, everything from pre-surgery to the actual surgery to post surgery has gone very smoothly and just as Dr. Meyer described. And my incision scar is very minimal even just a month after surgery! Doing all the pre-surgery and post-surgery exercises have also played a key role in my recovery, just as Dr. Meyer said. I will definitely go back to Dr. Meyer if I have any other joint issues and I highly recommend him as a surgeon.

I went through 30+ years of pain, limited range of motion, and off and on limping. Now my knee feels 95% like normal. I can golf with no issues, take long walks, climb stairs, and live life. This surgery with Dr. Meyer has been amazing and I am very grateful.

Before the surgery with Dr. Knowlan, I could hardly walk 1 block and my knee and ankle would swell up and hurt and would need help getting up from a chair. After the surgery, I am able to walk a lot more, I feel I will be able to walk the 2 to 3 miles like I used to before my knee problem and I can move around a lot more and do not need help getting up from a chair.

Prior to surgery, I had severe neck, shoulder and arm pain, especially in my right arm including numbness and tingling in my right arm and fingers. I also had moderate pain in my left arm. Surgery with Dr. DuBois immediately relieved much of the pain and tingling. I still have some numbness in fingers but that may be due to the length of time I went before surgery. For me, I was up and moving around in two days with little or no pain, just tired. I felt ready to go back to work with light duty in three weeks but opted to stay off for 6. Now, I am able to sleep better where as before I was losing 2 to 4 hours a night because of the discomfort.

Surgery with Dr. Meyer has eliminated the deep pain within my hip. It has restored my ability to carry out daily life activities without compensating for the pain. I feel wonderful. My new hip has restored my full mobility. The entire process was transparent and the expectations were exceeded.
