It happened so fast! Wham, I fell forward hitting my right shoulder on the pavement/curb. ER trip indicated multiple bone fractures on my upper right humerus. My call to TCO was “I want the best shoulder doctor available”. Enter Dr. Jason Dieterle and his fabulous team. Surgery was scheduled 4 days out at Lakeview Hospital. The surprise was that it was actually shattered and the doc had to remove fragments of bone before inserting a plate held together with pins. Seven months later, a pin pulled out of the bone and scans indicated that the bone would not mend. A second surgery was scheduled to remove plate and pins which were replaced by reverse shoulder equipment. Through all the pain and rehabilitation and dealing with my disappointment about an added surgery, Dr. Dieterle and his team consoled and encouraged me. I am so grateful. I got the best shoulder doctor plus his fantastic team.

Dr. Kirksson was truly wonderful for me. He listens carefully and you really come to understand that he cares about you and wants to help you with your medical problem. Listening carefully and taking the time with a patient is rare today, but he does it naturally. His calm demeanor and thorough explanations immediately lowered my anxiety and stress levels. I initially saw him for problems with terrible pain with my neck that other doctors – surgeons – had said required surgery. He successfully treated my neck without surgery and it hasn’t bothered me since. Years later when I had persistent lower back pain, he was obviously my first choice. I recommend him to my friends and family, as needed, without hesitation.

Dr. Arntson is a very humble but extraordinary doctor. His ability to work with patients and together come up with a plan to fit their needs is remarkable. I was able to plan my surgery at the best possible time for me and my knee. After my surgery, I had no pain. That’s right – no pain. The only pain I had was when I did my physical therapy.

Dr. Arntson was careful with the procedure, making sure that I did not get an infection. I searched and researched a long time to find a great surgeon, and I found one. I will recommend Dr. Arntson to anyone who needs a great surgeon. And he’s Norwegian!

Very happy with my results from my anterior hip replacement with Dr. Arntson. Surgery went well, feeling much better and getting around easier. A real life saver, thank you so much.

I have pain free range of motion and will continue to regain all ROM and strength. I had this shoulder replaced far earlier than I had done the right shoulder and saved myself from further pain, discomfort, and decreased ability to use the shoulder.

I’m very verbal about my surgery and hopefully am empowering others who have joint pain (of any joint) to consider replacement. If it’s a shoulder, I always recommend Dr. Dieterle.

For almost 12 months, I was unable to work (and basically unable to walk) as a normal daily activity. The pain was excruciating! I went to podiatrists and physicians in 4 different clinics to receive painful injections and endure therapy to no avail. I was letting my family down. One lucky day, I was able to schedule with Dr. Coetzee. He recommended surgery, which we did, and one month later I was human. I was working and providing for my family! That was over a year ago now and I continue to beat the ground and am a providing family man, who can hold his head up with pride! Thank you for giving me my life back! I am fortunate to have been so blessed by his skills.

Before surgery my pain was so bad I was having trouble sleeping at night because I just couldn’t get comfortable. I was avoiding the stairs in my home and I was not able to do simple household tasks. After surgery with Dr. Cooper, I am once again comfortable at night and getting back into regular housework routines. Carrying full laundry baskets up and down stairs is still a challenge, but taking it slow and gaining strength as time goes by.

I no longer have to find an alternate activity when travels include long walks and medium hikes. I have less pain and better sleep after a typical active day.

Extreme pain prior to surgery and a hard time sleeping. Now I can walk normally with no pain. Still have some stiffness if I sit a long time but that goes away after I walk a couple of steps. Very happy with Dr. Meyer. He did a good job.

I had a right hip replacement by Dr. Owen O’Neill in October 2018 when I was 77 years old. Prior to surgery I had a significant limp, could not stand longer than ten minutes because of pain and it was difficult for me to bend and put a shoe on my right foot. The surgery corrected all of these problems. I currently walk over one hour almost daily without pain, limping or other difficulties. Dr. O’Neill’s office staff, especially Ann Sugrue, were very helpful. She would immediately relay any question I had to Dr. O’Neill if he was not available. I have referred other people to Dr. O’Neill who also have had very successful hip replacements. He is a very skilled and compassionate surgeon who wants to help his patients lead a better and more productive life.
