Less than seven weeks ago I had a total knee replacement. I had full confidence in Dr. Steven Meisterling, and the result has been outstanding. The X-rays and the incision are perfect, pain is managed and I received overall great care. Dr. Duncan and Dr. Peterson were thorough with my elderly mother.  She was thrilled with each appointment and they each explained the diagnosis that is causing her pain. I met with Dr. Eggert to get a second opinion as to whether or not I needed to have another surgery to replace hardware that was put in my hip in June due to a fall. I was very impressed with Dr. Eggert. He studied all my x-rays, bone scans and reports from day one of my surgery. The Ortho Dr. I had seen previously did not look at any previous reports. Dr. Eggert spent over an hour explaining my options, showing my daughter and I the x-rays, and letting us know his opinion as to what was causing my pain. I would give Dr. Eggert a 10. 🙂

Thank you! Had my knee replaced by Dr. Wulf on May 8^th, 2017 and I am hiking and biking daily without a single issue. This is now my “strong” knee. I climbed mountain trails with no problems – I’m so pleased (San Jacinto Mountains in Palm Springs). Not bad for a 71 year old!!! Thanks again – Linda K.

After 3 months of unsatisfying care through other referrals and recommendations, I asked Dr. Prebonich of North Memorial, my care provider for several years, who HE thought could help me. Dr. Ryan was his choice. She is ABSOLUTELY wonderful in every way. She listens and she articulately shares her thoughts. Her compassion for my needs seriously seems divine. Dr. Ryan’s clinical assistant, Ashley Rockey, is held equally as spectacular. If it’s Olympic style care you desire, CALL Dr. Ryan.

I just wanted to tell you my story. Back in December I came down with shingles and a few days later I fell and injured my wrist. Early on a Saturday morning it was so painful and swollen that I went to ER in Shakopee and was told it wasn’t broken and to go home and ice and elevate it. By Monday it was much worse so I went to my family doctor. She said because I had a screw in my wrist from an injury 17 years ago I needed to see an orthopedic doctor as soon as possible. It was late Monday afternoon and she recommended that I go to TCO Waconia urgent care as they were open until 8:00 PM. I saw a physician assistant and was told to go home and ice it and elevate it. When I asked to see an orthopedic physician I was told the earliest appointment would Friday afternoon. I felt I couldn’t wait 4 more days. We went home and the following morning we called TCO Burnsville and was given an appointment the next morning, Wednesday. By Wednesday morning my hand and wrist were so swollen and painful I thought the skin would burst on my hand. The doctor I saw looked at the x-rays and told me to ice it and elevate it. I told him he had to do something as I had been icing and elevating for over 4 days and it was getting worse. He said he would see if Dr. Olmsted would take a look at it. In came Dr. Olmsted, he looked at my hand and then the x-ray and said the screw that had been placed in my wrist 17 years ago had backed out and was no longer in place. Furthermore the wrist was now badly infected and he recommended surgery that same day. Finally some help! Now Dr. Olmsted may not walk on water but he’s close to it in my book!!! Not only is he a gifted surgeon but is also a compassionate and caring doctor. I feel very fortunate to have had him care for me. My wrist and hand are still healing and I still have a ways to go but I am now able to type again and wanted to share my story with you.

Everyone at TCO Burnsville from the girls at the reception desk to the people in the surgery center downstairs and especially Matt, Dr. Olmsted’s physician assistant have been terrific and I can’t say enough about them. Another thing is this place runs like a Swiss watch. Appointments are always on time if not early. TCO Burnsville is top notch in my book and I will recommend it to everyone!

Hello Mr. Simonson — I just wanted to pass along some positive feedback on my experiences with TCO and the Excel Program.

I had total knee replacement surgery on my left knee in July 2017 and my right knee in November 2017 through the Excel Program and with Dr. Kruse.  I had never had any surgeries until these so I was very nervous about doing it.  But after my first appointment with Dr. Kruse, I was confident I was in good hands and now that it’s all done, I was right!

All of the people I came in contact with from TCO were wonderful.  They always made me feel cared for and treated me like I was their only patient.  Dr. Kruse was so great and made me feel at ease every step of the way.  Everyone at the Minnesota Orthopedic Surgery Center in Fridley as well as the Coon Rapids location where I had all my pre and post appointments and physical therapy were also great.  My recovery time at Bel Rae was very comfortable and the nurses and therapists that worked with me there were amazing as well.

I want to give special mention about the therapists that spent so much time with me, Amy Lindell and Jason Bezdichek.  They are both so skilled at their jobs and were fantastic “coaches” by encouraging me and guiding me through the therapy.  When I would tell them what I was struggling with or pain I was having, they were so caring and tailored the exercises they had me doing and when I followed what they said, it always helped.  I was so lucky to be assigned to them!  I’d appreciate you passing this along to whoever their direct boss is.

Finally and most importantly, since having the surgeries, my quality of life has improved so much.  Being able to simply walk without knee pain has been awesome!  I’ve started using stairs instead of avoiding them and simple household chores have also become so much easier.  And, I’ve already been able to start doing my main hobbies pain free and have enjoyed them so much more (horseback riding and archery).

I’ve already recommended TCO to others and will continue to do so.  Again, a huge thank you to everyone at TCO!

Dr. Norberg did a reverse shoulder replacement on me about a year after I had surgery for a humerus break that left me with pain and limited movement of my right arm. He explained what the surgery would entail and the possible outcomes. I opted for the surgery which I had about two months ago. In the after surgery appointments I was impressed by his professionalism and postoperative program in dealing with my situation. As a result, today I have gotten back much of my movement and the pain has subsided. I owe many thanks to Dr. Norberg and his assistant for their expertise.
