I had a total left shoulder replacement in November of 2020 due to severe arthritis. Dr. Ridley did an amazing job. He is personable and professional. It’s been one year and my shoulder feels great. I’m very happy with the results.

I had a fairly sudden onset of pain in my buttock radiating down right leg. It was excruciating and I was unable to get relief. After going to TCO urgent care, having an x-ray, receiving pain meds and muscle relaxants, along with a subsequent MRI, I was referred to Dr. Hoel. He explained my problem and gave me 3 options for possible treatment. I chose the discectomy, as it was the least intrusive and had the shortest recovery option. Within a few days I was scheduled for surgery and it was performed under general anesthesia. I was discharged the same day and the leg pain was gone.

I had a bout of nausea and vomiting the day after surgery and called Dr. Hoel’s assistant, who ordered anti-nausea medication. Dr. Hoel called me the next day to see if I was doing better. I was amazed that he took the time to check in with me. The medication worked well and I felt fine. Subsequently, I quickly was only taking Tylenol for pain. Five days after surgery, I received another call from Dr. Hoel to see how I was doing. I was happy to report that all was going well.

I just had my 6 week post-op appointment and I have had no further leg or nerve pain. I have been quite active and can return to golf, tennis, and pickleball in 6 weeks. My only physical therapy has been walking. I have a little low back stiffness, but considering I am 78 and have a lot of arthritis, I think I am doing great! I was very impressed with Dr. Hoel and would highly recommend him.

I am giving a shout out to Doctor Matthew S. Butterfield, M.D., his surgical team, and physical therapy team, for my total right shoulder replacement. The results I have from their expertise have given me 100% mobility (and pain-free at that) after the 10 week rehab program! Dr. Murar was so caring and supportive when dealing with my questions and concerns. He is an amazing surgeon and I highly recommend him and his staff if you are ever in need of orthopedic care. My surgery was in July 2021 and it is almost Thanksgiving now. I am at 90% function and “normalcy” in my left shoulder. I am 72 years old so this recover was very unexpected, but I give credit to Dr. Murar, his staff, and the two physical therapists that I had the pleasure of working with!

I am a retired general surgeon and have known Dr. Hunt for 25 years. We practiced together at his previous organization and when my knee needed replacement, there was no question who I would see. Not only is he an expert surgeon, he is a caring, down to earth man who never takes his role in the patient-doctor relationship for granted. My surgery went smoothly and I am completely recovered. I can’t recommend him enough.

Sending a huge thank you to Dr. Knowlan for an amazing visit. I was ahead of schedule and was seen to moments after arriving. The staff were friendly and kind. Dr. Knowlan showed up and certainly had reviewed my chart because he asked about previous injuries before addressing today’s concerns. Regarding my current issues, Dr. Knowlan provided a diagnosis, cause of pain and reviewed imaging with me. He provided 3 possible treatment options and long term prognosis. I wish all of my doctors would provide this level of care! It was an excellent experience and would highly recommend Dr. Knowlan. He is a hometown guy! Thank you!

After years of overall arthritic foot pain, Dr. Vargas performed a major fusion of many bones in my foot. Truly, I call him the “foot whisperer.” I had three opinions on this surgery (since it was such a major surgery) and Dr. Vargas was clearly the most thoughtful and confident doctor. The surgery was pretty dramatic but the recovery was exactly as I had been told, from recovery through PT and onto normal life. I have no foot pain now and am very grateful for Dr. Vargas and his wonderful team.

The staff at TCO Chaska and Waconia offer the highest patient experience and I am so glad that we received care there. Dr. Meyer is a top-notch orthopedic surgeon. I completed all of my pre-op and post-op rehab exercises, and together, the teamwork paid off. I highly recommend Dr. Meyer and his team to anyone needing orthopedic care. I have already recommended him to several people who have asked!

Nothing short of medical miracles are being performed by Dr. Owen O’Neill! It’s hard to find the words to describe the pre- and post-surgical experiences I’ve had with him and the entire TCO team…other than “surreal”. I had my first anterior hip replacement by Dr. O’Neill in 2016. I knew, in time, my other hip would need to be replaced as well. Prior to meeting with Dr. O’Neill, I initially consulted with 3 other surgeons regarding the condition of my hips. There was no question after consulting with him that he was the surgeon for the job!

On November 9^th, my other hip was replaced by Dr. O’Neill. For both surgeries, I was a part of the EXCEL Program and was treated with the utmost professional care, respect and compassion. It was beyond any other surgical experiences I’ve had. The entire process (for both hip surgeries) went extremely smooth; including the pre-op appointments, information and billing, to the follow-through, staff communications, etc.

Like many other patients, I was up and moving around within 4 hours of my surgery. I was walking and doing laps around the nursing station and looking at the stunning new TCO EXCEL Care Suites. It’s crazy to comprehend that a person is even capable of walking or climbing stairs after having a new “part” put in. I was so extremely happy with my recovery from the first surgery. Within a few weeks I was able to return to work and resume many of my normal activities.

Dr. O’Neill and his amazing staff are hands-down some of the most qualified, experienced, kind, and thorough medical professionals and care-givers a patient could hope for. One of the other big stand-out components of my experience was being part of the TCO EXCEL Program. What a master-minded, brilliant concept! It’s comprehensive, thorough, extremely well-organized, patient-focused, with beautiful and comfortable care suites. Not to mention, includes one post-op bill that you are informed about prior to your surgery! Hip, Hip, Hooray! I have 2 new hips now and I’m looking forward to getting outside to indulge in my winter sports and activities, soon!

The knee that underwent surgery does not give me any problems. I was only home from work for one month and was able to begin driving then even though it was my right knee. Dr. Kelly and team cared about me and my PT team was great.
