Dr. Carlson did a great job working with me both during pre-op and post-op. The procedure was easier and the recovery was faster than I thought they would be. I had physical therapy with Mike Stay and Catherine Slaymaker at TCO Plymouth. Just under six weeks out, I am done with PT and getting back to my normal routine. His expertise is evident not only in the operating room but in the steady, reliable progress I have made since the surgery.

Peggy Schnobrich, my CRNA, played a crucial role in making the surgical experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Her reassuring presence, attention to detail, and ability to put me at ease before anesthesia made a world of difference. I felt safe, informed, and genuinely cared for in her hands.

Rebecca Munson, PA, has been an outstanding partner throughout the process. Her calm, reassuring presence and thorough follow-up care made every appointment feel productive and supportive. She answered questions before I even had to ask them and she always made sure I understood each step of recovery.

Jarred Frisk, my physical therapist, has been instrumental in getting my shoulder back to top strength and mobility. Jarred brings a rare mix of technical knowledge, patience, and encouragement. He tailors each session to my progress, celebrates milestones big and small, and pushes me just the right amount to keep improving.

Together, this team turned a major surgery into a genuinely positive experience. I am healing better and faster than I ever expected. I am deeply grateful for their dedication. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Barry, Rebecca Munson, and Jarred Frisk more highly.

It was supposed to be nothing more than a quick ride to the store, but a small crack in the sidewalk changed everything. I went down, and just like that, plans for basketball, boating and endless outdoor fun were put on hold.

I broke my radius and dislocated my ulna, which led to a long night in the emergency room. They coordinated with Twin Cities Orthopedics and shared my case with Dr. Amy Moeller, who had treated me earlier that spring for a basketball-related thumb injury. By the next morning, Dr. Moeller’s team had reached out, and surgery was scheduled for the following day.

What followed was not just recovery. It was a mental and physical grind.

1,630 hours watching practices from the sidelines. 5,000 right-hand-only shots. 540 minutes of one-on-one, controlled basketball training. 350 minutes of right-hand-only ball handling. 12 physical therapy appointments.

After 97 mentally and physically exhausting days, I was finally given the green light to play basketball again, fully, freely and without restrictions. There were days I asked, ‘Why me? Will I ever get back?’ With the incredible support of the staff at TCO and everyone around me, I kept pushing.

All of that work paid off. In my first game back, I scored 14 points. That moment did not happen alone. It was made possible by the incredible care from Dr. Moeller and her team, the TCO hand therapy staff, and an unwavering network of family, trainers, coaches, teammates and friends.

What started as a simple summer outing became a powerful reminder of resilience, faith, and just how much heart it takes to fight your way back to the court.

I wanted to take a moment to share the exceptional care and professionalism I have received under the attentive care of Dan Silverberg. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs referred me to orthopedic care through the Office of Community Care because of my combat injuries that include my back, neck, stomach, shoulders, wrist, ankles, etc. My primary care doctor at the VA told me that I needed to try different modalities of care including orthopedics. Within ten visits at TCO, the severe pain I would normally experience has subsided. The large diastasis and associated bulge I would normally see has significantly reduced, and the pain I normally experience has lessened. While my disabilities are lifelong and I will never be completely healed, Dan has significantly helped me and I am very grateful.

I also work at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs where I was appointed by the president to lead finance and support to all of our clinics, hospitals, and veteran benefit programs. I have come across many skilled and committed professionals who dedicate their lives to helping people. I would put Dan Silverberg at the top of this list. If there are opportunities to train other physical therapists, I think he would be a fantastic choice to help Twin Cities Orthopedics lead from a place of excellence, experience, knowledge, and the art involved in this practice. I first met Dr. Walker by through a telephone call while I was waiting in the hospital for my operation. He asked me if I wanted to keep waiting for surgery on my operation day when he had already operated on many other patients. He told me that if I didn’t want to keep waiting, I could eat and he would try to schedule me first on the following day. This was an example of how much he truly cared for me and my treatment over the six months since my surgery. He is direct, explains medical details succinctly, and always has a welcoming smile. I am grateful that I met Dr. Walker and that he gave me my life back by repairing my arm.

My left shoulder was a mess from a car accident, arthritis, a fall from a ladder, and life in general. I had almost no strength in my arm and I couldn’t lift it above shoulder height. It really hurt! I had gotten a couple of cortisone shots to help with the pain, and it did work for a while.

After speaking with Dr. Pressman, he suggested shoulder replacement surgery. My rotator cuff was also torn, and the replacement would not only fix my shoulder ailments, but it would keep me in a sling for only two weeks. From my understanding, a rotator cuff surgery puts you in a sling for about six weeks, so a shorter timeline was great. I signed up for the procedure right then and there.

The entire process at the TCO Surgery Center went amazingly well. I spent the night in Edina and was out the next morning. I had physical therapy appointments scheduled and a fresh set of Under Armor “duds” they dressed me in. The care was phenomenal! I breezed through my two weeks, got rid of the sling, and started my final stretch of the recovery. Everyday got better as time went on. After about a month, I would go days where I didn’t even think about my shoulder. That was a sure sign that things were headed in the right direction.

I have a few weeks of scheduled recovery left but I am functioning well and back to doing some things that I have avoided for the past year. Best of all, I am pain free. Dr. Pressman and Raquel at TCO Eden Prairie made a great team and it was a pleasure to do business with them. On a 1 to 10 scale; they are a 12!

I injured my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff. For two years, I went through physical therapy hoping to regain enough strength to shoot my bow, pheasant hunt, and compete. Unfortunately, with the combination of the rotator cuff tear and arthritis in my shoulder, PT wasn’t getting me back to shooting or doing any overhead work.

I decided to get a second opinion at TCO and met Dr. Andrew Ockuly in Vadnais Heights. I was very impressed. He recommended a total reverse shoulder replacement. I was worried I’d never shoot my bow again, but Dr. Ockuly, who is a bow hunter himself, assured me he’d get me back to it.

I had the surgery in May, and by October, I was bowhunting with my vertical bow again. Dr. Ockuly, his PA Anne Merrill, the PT staff, and everyone I encountered at TCO were excellent. Thank you for making it possible for me to continue doing the things I love.

I have nothing but praise and gratitude for Dr. Arntson and the care I received during my shoulder joint replacement surgery. The entire procedure and recovery with minimal pain afterwards. The outcome exceeded my expectations, and I have no limitations. I am now pain free and very happy with the results. Dr. Arntson and his team are true professionals.

Thank you to Dr. Hofkens for completing the procedure on my shoulder. He removed calcium deposits on my rotator cuff which was contacting my bicep tendon causing significant pain and weakness. The procedure was a HUGE success, and I can now move, and use left shoulder without any issues. I have been dealing with the pain and weakness for almost a year. After an MRI and months of physical therapy with no improvement prior to the surgery, the procedure was completed. Within a few days, my shoulder was back to normal. I appreciate and value the expertise and precision of Dr. Hofkens!

I began physical therapy with Seth Enberg and Jared Hansen after my rotator cuff repair. Both are seasoned clinicians in the PT field. I am very pleased with how my therapy is going so I can get back to work. We have great communication, and Seth and Jared truly listen to my goals so we can work to where I want to be at the end of my therapy journey. I highly recommend them both.
