Before surgery the pain was constant and I couldn’t do many normal things. The surgery was instant relief thanks to Dr. Dieterle. I am able to do my housework and many other activities including golf!

My surgery with Dr. Dieterle was to reattach my rotator cuff and bicep tendons. The surgery went well, completely restoring my strength and range of motion, eliminating the pain! Post-op sleeping up right was a little difficult, but a cushy recliner made a huge difference. The physical therapy was critical in my recovery. Do your PT!

My shoulder surgery went very well! If it wasn’t for Dr. Dieterle and the staff at TCO, I might not have been able to repair my injury.

Communication with my healthcare providers is key. With that said, I did initiate conversation with my surgeon, Dr. Dieterle, who is a wonderful listener and highly skilled doctor specializing in shoulder issues. I had trust in him as I learned about his history of performing successful rotator cuff procedures. He did not hurry me in asking my questions, nor dismiss me in any way of my concerns. Secondly, the anesthesiologist called me as I requested, I had airway issues in past surgeries, so I could discuss concerns for any potential breathing problems. He was so considerate and thanked me for the heads up. From time I walked into Lakeview Hospital, I was greeted courteously and respectfully. The nurse’s assistants and other providers made my experience well tolerated and the careful manner in which my extremity was handled allowed me to feel very little pain and recover with significantly less pain than anticipated. Thank you, I would utilize this same system of providers if needed!

In May is 2021 I was visiting my daughter in upper NY state. On what was supposed to be the last day of my visit, I tripped on uneven sidewalk in Kingston, NY. I was taken by ambulance to the Kingston Hospital for observation and X-rays. Two days later I flew back to Minneapolis in great pain! I fractured my right humerus. Dr. Norberg saw me early the next morning. We began the long and careful process of healing without surgery. Dr Norberg, his staff and the physical therapists at TCO, have given me the best of professional care, for which I am eternally grateful!

After my shoulder surgery with Dr. Dieterle, the pain is gone that was present for a long time. Physical therapy is crucial to recovery in range of motion and strength. It restored my ability to resume my daily routine.

Dr. Kelly and his staff were awesome. I will be playing golf next week in Florida.

I’m very happy with the results of my shoulder surgery performed by Dr. Dieterle. I was able to play a total of 63 holes of golf before my 2 month anniversary of surgery!

I was unsure about having my right shoulder replaced but with the pain I was in and recommendations from others, I decided to go ahead and have the surgery. Immediately following surgery, I didn’t have much pain. I know I would have to work at getting my strength and mobility back, which was note easy but well worth it. Dr. Kelly and his team were very professional and positive, always friendly and made everything clear. The physical therapist was very good and with all of the work, I now have good strength and mobility. Dr. Kelly did a great job on my shoulder!

At 51 years old, having to have total shoulder replacement surgery is a bit shocking and humbling. The surgery, care and professionalism I received however, has been very positive and successful. I feel fortunate and look forward to the prospective of using my shoulder again for normal activities like reaching above shoulder height, lifting with normal strength and swimming again. For so long, I tolerated the pain and worked around my immobility. I’m young and should not be under such restrictions so it is actually exciting that I won’t have to suffer and live like that anymore. I’m very happy I had this surgery done with Dr. Kelly!
