I went to see Dr. Hoel because of severe pain in my lower back and down my legs. It was always worse when I was walking and bending over. The pain was relieved when I could sit down, but once I got up, it was only a matter of time before I needed to sit again. An MRI revealed that my 5th lumbar was not stable and was narrowing my spinal cord resulting in the pain down my legs (spondylosis and spondylolisthesis).

Dr. Hoel listened carefully to my descriptions of the pain I was having. He was compassionate and explained my diagnosis carefully. After our first meeting, I decided to do some research and came back to ask more questions. Again, he was very helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. I tried physical therapy first, but when that proved unsuccessful, I asked to have the surgery. Dr. Hoel suggested to replace my disc and to fuse my 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae together. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I had this surgery! The pain in my back and down my legs was completely gone right away. It was miraculous! Dr. Hoel really impressed me with his kindness, compassion, and knowledge. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

I would totally recommend the TCO Excel Surgery and Recovery Program for a knee replacement. Dr. Kruse and his staff guided me through the process through surgery, recovery and physical therapy. I was up and moving within hours after surgery. After two months I was back on the golf course and riding my bicycle once again. Thank you, Dr. Kruse, for your great surgical skills and expertise. Dr. O’Neill and his very professional team provided excellent care related to my anterior right hip replacement. I had my left hip done with a posterior procedure at another medical facility and the anterior procedure was a night and day different experience. Dr. O’Neill performed the surgery at 9:30am and I was at home recovering at 7:00pm. I was fully recovered after 6 weeks but back to usual activities in 3 weeks. The posterior left hip surgery resulted in muscle spasms that lasted 6 months and impaired usual activities and driving in some form for that length of time. I could not believe the difference in these surgeries. I definitely recommend Dr. O’Neill and the anterior procedure

Dr. Mair is amazing. I’ve had one knee replaced and it has changed my life. I have the second knee replacement scheduled soon. I highly recommend him. He has great bedside manner and is a genuinely caring individual.

I would highly recommend Dr. Bakker and his team if you are considering hand or wrist surgery. I had a very large lipoma on the inside of my left wrist. It had been there for 25 years. It required very intricate surgery to remove it. The surgery went extremely well and my post-op recovery was also very successful. Thank you Dr. Bakker and team!

My experience with Dr. Engasser’s practice was outstanding. He let us know immediately that no question was too small and he shared the scan images, upon which he based his evaluations. I am 78 years old and I never felt like he treated me any differently than he might treat younger patients.

I arrived at Dr. Andrew Arthur’s TCO office in the Spring of 2019 to be seen for severe pain in my left knee and the inability to walk for more than 10 minutes. I was diagnosed with multiple stress fractures and badly damaged knee cartilage. I knew my sporting future did not look bright. Dr. Arthur recommended paste graft cartilage regeneration for my knee. He carefully explained why this was an ideal option and my best hope to get back to triathlon competition.  I knew I was in excellent hands and agreed to follow his lead. Dr. Arthur reported that the procedure went better than we expected. The next step in the process included dedicating myself to physical therapy.

I closely followed every recommendation I was given for recovery and rehabilitation. Dr. Arthur and his team were profoundly helpful and supportive throughout my recovery, with consistent contact and multiple office checkups.  Two years post-surgery, I am pain free and racing again.  I recently finished Ironman Wisconsin, placing 6th out of 199 in my age group and 103^rd out of 1,746 overall.  Considering what my life was like before surgery and physical therapy, this is truly miraculous. I had been having pain in my right hip and left knee that was not subsiding. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Ryan for further evaluation.
