Having been very active most of my adult life, it was difficult for me to start giving up all the sports I had enjoyed because I couldn’t manage the pain anymore. My doctor and nurse friends recommended Dr. Christopher Meyer and I am SO thankful to have followed through with him and his staff. It’s been 3 months from my surgery and I’m cross country skiing again, lifting weights, and walking at a 15 minute mile pace! I am beyond ecstatic to have my life back. Thank you SO very much Dr. Meyer and your amazing staff!

I had my hip replaced by Dr. Hartigan on November 14^th.  I was up walking that afternoon pain free! What a joy! All the staff at the surgery center and in the EXCEL program were great. I had wonderful care. They took time to discuss options for medications and answered all of my questions. Unlike in a hospital, when I pushed my button for a request, they came instantly. Everyone from the driver of the van, to the support staff, nurses and PT were friendly and kind. I never felt rushed.

Both Dr. Hartigan and his PA, Aaron, have the best bedside manner. They took plenty of time to answer all my questions, and never rushed me out. I always felt very well taken care of. I cannot say enough about the wonderful program. My only suggestion is on some of the TCO branded clothing, it should say “ask me about my new joint!”. Thank you for everything. I am so enjoying life pain free!

Dr. O’Neill and his entire staff are beyond amazing to work with. Four years prior to seeing Dr. O’Neill, I had hip reconstruction for a labrum tear and reshaping of the ball and socket. I was hoping that surgery would be the fix. Eventually I developed severe arthritis and needed a full new hip. My husband had already had a hip and a knee surgery with Dr. O’Neill, so I knew he was my choice for this surgery.

He knew I had a trip planned in November which would require hiking and he promised me I would be ready. I had surgery on August 8, 2022 and was walking in post-op and at the recovery center. I was off a walker and walking with a cane in my neighborhood within 5 days post-op. The only pain I would tell you to be prepared for is the thigh pain. One would assume pain in the surgery area but this was not the case. I had quite a bit of swelling in the hip/thigh for almost 8 weeks. Overall, I felt better and better every day for the first 5 weeks. Note – You MUST WALK a lot and push through the pain! I also would say that until my swelling was gone, my leg felt a little bit longer. Once the swelling was gone it felt perfect!

I unfortunately had a slight set back around week 6, and I ended up getting bursitis in my hip/leg which I found out at my 8-week appt. I did PT for 4 weeks, and then at week 15 I was able to climb Machu Picchu with ZERO PAIN! We were on a trip to Peru where we walked or hiked every day and my average steps per day were between 13,500 – 17,500. We averaged 7/8 miles a day! So, when Dr. O’Neil tells you that you will be able to anything you want after 12 weeks, he is 100% correct! Just have to put your mind to your rehab/recovery and you can do it. I have referred him to several people and will continue to do so! Thank you again for everything!

I would give Dr. Michael Nemanich five stars! I cannot tell you how relieved and thankful I am for the excellent care I received from him and his incredible team! I highly recommend him. I had been suffering from right hip pain for over a year, which progressively got worse. I am 66 years old and had just retired. My hip arthritis prevented me from doing all of the activities I loved to do; play with my grandchildren, play pickleball, go for hikes, long walks and dancing. I saw Dr. Michael Nemanich and selected him to do my surgery after a thorough review of his exceptional credentials and reviews. Dr. M. Nemanich and his team took such great care of me from admission to discharge and post-op.

My procedure was done through their EXCEL program which is a BEST IN PRACTICE process for joint replacements. It has been fine tuned to provide patients with the best outcome and best experience. It is like a well-oiled machine. There was not one blip in the entire procedure. From the friendly gal that admitted me, to the wonderful and caring surgical nurses, to the recovering nurses at the post op-care suites, I felt so cared for. The care suites were like a upscale hotel! I am now two months post-op and I am back to working out at the gym and walking almost two miles a day, with no cane, no pain, and I’m playing with my grandchildren again. Pickleball is right around the corner too. Thank you Dr. Michael Nemanich, the staff at TCO and the staff at the Care Suites. You’re awesome!

Dr. Anseth replaced both of my hips, my second hip replacement was done in April 2022. I am a pheasant hunt guide in the fall and this was the first year I was able to it pain free! I had 22 hunts in October and walked 167 miles through tall thick grass and cover! There’s no way I would have been able to do this without Dr. Anseth’s help. He and the whole TCO crew were amazing to work with!

Dr. Arntson did a left hip replacement for me. It went perfectly. There was a  little pressure but no pain. Recovery went well and I am back to playing racquetball at age 65. The whole experience at TCO was great. Thanks to you all!

I received great care and counseling. I feel completely restored and love being able to move effortlessly again! I forgot what it was like to live pain-free. I am back to life. Thank you Dr. Arntson!

I have now had both of my hips replaced. The first one, in 2018, was a lateral approach and the second one in May 2022. The second one was performed by Dr. Owen O’Neill and was a minimally invasive anterior approach.

I recovered much faster with the second surgery and was able to move around easier right after surgery. I was walking without the aid of a walker or cane much sooner and was walking about a block after the first week. I also did not have to have physical therapy with the second surgery.

I did have a fair amount of swelling in my thigh, but as I approach 4 months, the swelling is mostly gone unless I sit in the car for long periods of time or I am up on my feet for most of the day. It diminishes quickly once I sit and elevate my leg. There is pain and discomfort with this type of surgery, but it diminished much quicker and I needed less pain medication.

Both of my legs are now the same length, which makes activity much easier and I do not have the sharp, stabbing pain when stepping down on a very arthritic hip.

I recommend the minimally invasive anterior approach and would seek care again from Dr. O’Neill, if I needed more orthopedic surgery. I found him to be very competent, caring and approachable.

I am 72 years old, am 4 days post op and walking around! I cannot differentiate my new hip from my remaining hip. I highly recommend Dr. O’Neill. The man is a rock star!
