I have had a hip replacement and knee replacement with Dr. Owen O’Neill. Both procedures ended with excellent results. If you are considering either procedure, I would recommend Dr. O’Neill.

I had wonderful experience when having my total knee replacement! The EXCEL Program at TCO worked like a well oiled clock. The first two nights were painful and I had to rock myself for an hour to get adequate pain relief. On the first night, a nurse walked with me at least four times through the hospital halls and I never waited more than five minutes to have my call light answered. They kept adding ice to my machine so the alarms never went off.

All of the staff knew exactly what recovery would be like and nurses answered all of my questions correctly. I did not use a walker or crutches following surgery but I had them just in case I was unsteady. I was able to return to playing pickleball the fourth week after surgery and, to my amazement, I have been playing daily ever since the surgery. The pain subsided after the third week. I’m only 63 years old so I’m thrilled I can do anything I choose to do again!

When I first sought out a consult for knee replacements, I asked for a physician with a good bedside manner. I was immediately directed to Dr. Heikes and I have never been disappointed. Not only is she one of the kindest, most caring doctors I’ve had, she also takes her time to listen and get to know you as a person. She makes sure you are not just a patient to her – you are an individual with a story.

Before I met Dr. Heikes, I was told by several surgeons that I was too young for knee replacements. I was given very few options to try and none of those worked. Dr. Heikes always thinks outside the box. She found solutions when others found dead ends. When those solutions were used up, she gladly and expertly replaced my knees. First it was a set of partial replacements and then, when the rest of my knees were in need, she completed bilateral total replacements.

The deep concern and precise care that she shows is not unique to herself, but to her physician assistant Megan Armstrong as well. Together they form an incredible team to give the best care I could have asked for. I am walking and playing with my kids today because of them. They gave me back my life and my mobility and for that I am so very grateful. If you’re searching for the right medical team for you, I cannot recommend Dr. Heikes and Megan Armstrong PA-C enough.

Dr. Lewis replaced both of my knees, one year apart from each other, and he and his staff are rock stars. He also did my wife’s knee replacement. I also want to say that his assistant,Libby, is the best. I would definitely recommend him and Libby for your orthopedic needs. I developed scar tissue in both knees and Dr. Lewis said a small number of patients get this and that it’s common. They both made noise and hurt when getting up from a sitting position. It was about a 20 minute procedure and they are perfect. Many thanks Dr. Lewis and Libby. You guys are great.

I had knee replacement surgery on February 18, 2021. My surgery was delayed twice but I finally got to have my procedure done at TCO Blaine! Dr. Arntson has a very professional team. TCO Blaine was a great option too. They do the surgery and then they take you upstairs to your own room. It was beautiful and nicer than some hotels I have stayed at. The nursing staff was top notch and very professional. They were also very friendly, warm, and caring. The physical therapists were very knowledgeable and helpful. I had no problems with my surgery and recovery. I would highly recommend TCO and Dr. Arntson to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery!

From the first time I met with Dr. Arntson, I was treated with great care. The procedure was well explained and possible results were explained, both good and bad, for me to make an informed decision on surgery. Everything went smoothly with both knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Arntson made me feel well cared for and safe. I trusted his judgement and did not feel afraid. I am very happy with my experience.

Dr. Owen O’Neill and his team were very professional. They answered all of my questions. I can now walk with normal gait again and my lower leg isn’t bowing out any more. Physical therapy quickly helped me back to my usual activity. I’m keeping up with my exercises so I can keep improving my strength. I have battled with knee pain most of my life. At 15 years old, I tore my right ACL in a softball injury. Back in the 80’s, parents simply didn’t run their children into the doctor. And as a softball catcher, knee protectors were not what they are today. My parents had me treated with chiropractor care, which worked, but my knee was never the same. I had two arthroscopic procedures on my right knee for tears and unidentified floating objects, by a former orthopedic surgeon. In the summer of 2019, I had a pretty significant motorcycle accident and had a de-gloving injury to my left knee. It was very painful. I had one surgery that only temporarily relieved the pain.

In September of 2020, Dr. Peterson recommended a total knee replacement. I was nervous, but Dr. Peterson had done several of my parents’ orthopedic replacements and I knew how well they recovered, so I opted for the replacement. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. After 5 months, my left knee feels so good I sometimes forget it’s artificial. Dr. Peterson and his team are outstanding and are the best in their field. I am having my right knee replaced next month and I have no fears, worries, or anticipation of it not going just as well as the first replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Peterson and his whole team. I can’t thank them nearly enough for giving my pain free life back. I am 53 years old now.
