In early March of 2023, I fell on some ice and tore my quad. Dr. James Bircher performed surgery the next morning at North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove. He was kind, open, and honest with me the whole way through. I’m 76 years old and the pain and healing process went amazingly well! Thanks to Dr. Bircher’s surgical skills, along with his staff. I seem to be doing just fine. My other remarks are about my physical therapists at TCO. Leah and Nichole were simply the best I could ask for!

Dr. Bircher is the most professional physician and with good bedside manner. I feel most comfortable talking with him. He did a great job with my right femur surgery. I’m very satisfied.

I had a one-year follow-up appointment with Heidi Bolgren, PA-C after having both of my hips replaced by Dr. Anseth. She gave me a glowing report and said come back in 10 years! A little over a year ago I couldn’t walk more than 20 steps without pain, and I needed to use a walker whenever I left the house (sometimes in the house too).  I couldn’t do much of anything and constantly took Advil/Tylenol. I never slept well at night due to the pain. I waddled when I walked because my legs were uneven lengths.  I turned down many social invitations because I was fairly miserable. My life was on hold.

Now I’m back to playing intense tennis twice a week, actively work in my garden digging up and replanting plants, working out a couple times of week at the gym, going on walks up to 10 miles, and standing for long periods in the kitchen. I’m doing it all without any pain and with legs that are the same length. I have no pain to keep me up at night. I can do any chore/activity around the house. And now I’M the one entertaining friends/family at my family.

Dr. Anseth gave me my life back! And not just any life, but a high-quality, super active one!  I am grateful every single day for the high quality surgical procedures and overall care I received from Team Anseth.  I will whole heartedly recommend his team to anyone who is needing hip or knee surgery.  And I’m thankful he believed that I could handle the second surgery only three months after the first one.

I saw Dr. Leafblad to discuss treatment for my arthritic right shoulder. Dr. Leafblad was very thorough during his examination. He tested the strength and flexibility of that shoulder. He explained my options for treatment very thoroughly. His recommendation was to try a cortisone shot in my shoulder joint to see if it would provide pain relief. He explained that there might be shoulder replacement surgery needed in the future. Dr. Leafblad performed carpal tunnel surgery on both my hands earlier this year, too. He is an extremely caring and kind doctor who puts his patients at ease.

Dr. Hoel and his team provided excellent care from the first visit to the last appointment following surgery. I was having problems with my neck and back. He came into the room fully prepared to discuss everything that was causing my problems and what options I had going forward. I decided to have the cervical discectomy and fusion, and I had excellent results. My balance is improving and the main reason the surgery was necessary is so that I could continue skiing, biking, and golfing. I am 77 years old and there is a lot of damage to my spine and neck due to arthritis. Dr. Hoel did the surgery with a small incision that hardly shows. I had minimal pain in my upper back, due to the fusion that was done. I highly recommend Dr. Hoel and trust him to give me an honest opinion. He listens and answers all questions thoughtfully. I never felt rushed.

Dr. Hofkens was very thorough in describing what to expect as a result of an cortisone injection around my shoulder. He spent time describing the procedure and made me feel comfortable with the injection. He is very kind and caring.

Dr. Coetzee is the absolute best doctor. I cannot say enough great things about him and his staff. They are professional and caring, and they explain everything in detail. I was walking the next day and other doctors said it could be 4 to 6 weeks. I healed perfectly while walking with a boot. Surgery was easy and highly recommend them.

Dr. Deal and his PA-C, Nathan, took care of me in July 2023. I was having lower lumbar problems and they read the results of my MRI to me. I just want to thank them both for going over everything in detail so I could have a better understanding of what was going on. When I got back to Naples, Florida days later, I immediately started physical therapy again. And thanks to the physical therapist, he was able to alleviate most of the pain.

I am so looking forward to getting back to my daily morning walks and workouts at the club. Also, I just want to say that the entire TCO organization was a lifesaver for me when I needed it the most! When I hobbled into your facility early on a Friday morning with excruciating pain, I was seen immediately! I truly appreciated the work of those professionals! Everyone did an outstanding job, especially Joelle and Rachael in MRI Scheduling! Thanks again for your help.

I had both knees replaced in November and December 2022. In August of 2023, I am walking pain free. For both of my surgeries, Dr. Marcus Mittelsteadt receives a perfect 10. I could not be happier with my results. From the clinics, to the hospital and therapy staff, everyone is knowledgeable and friendly.

I had a hip replacement on June 20th with Dr. Owen O’Neill in Edina. I choose him because I had had a consultation with another physician and felt unsure about the whole process. When I met with Dr. O’Neill, he took the time to listen to me, explained the procedure thoroughly, and addressed other issues to help me recover better. I left my consultation motivated to get healthier and stronger. My surgery went great, recovery was really good, and I was back at work doing hair a month later! I had the most positive experience and would highly recommend Dr. O’Neill!
