I’ve always been an athlete and at almost 57, the advanced osteoarthritis impacted my quality of life. Dr. O’Neill was very straight forward with my options. I highly recommend Dr. O’Neill for total hip replacement and wish I’d done it sooner! I’m now able to walk without pain or a limp, stand up without pain and was able to return to biking and CrossFit after 8 weeks. I can even cover 2 miles in 32 minutes when walking and haven’t walked that fast in years! I’m in a better mood and overall happier without the chronic pain and limitations.

After much thought and several examinations by different care givers, it was clear that my right hip required replacement. I’m 74 years old and the thought of total hip replacement was daunting. I was worried about how quickly I would heal and be able to walk again without pain. I decided to go with Dr. Lewis for the surgery. The surgery went well thanks to Dr. Lewis and the care giving by the team was very good. Three weeks after surgery I was walking without any aids. I am very happy with the results; thank you Dr. Lewis and team!

When I met with Dr. O’Neill for my post-op check-up seven weeks post-surgery (anterior hip replacement), I told him he was a genius. I can’t say enough good things about him and the staff at TCO. From my first meeting, through surgery and post-op, Dr. O’Neill listened to me and sought to understand my situation. He was caring and compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough and encouraging. I felt confident in his ability to help me, and at ease under his care. I was surprisingly calm as I faced major surgery.

The entire staff was always available to answer my questions (and I had a LOT!) and when I met personally with Dr. O’Neill, he seemed to “settle in”, not in a hurry to move on to the next patient. Pre- and post-op instructions from both TCO and the hospital were very clear.

I had some conflicting diagnoses prior to seeing Dr. O’Neill but from my first visit with him, I knew he was on the right track. I had struggled with back and hip pain for 18 months and lost much of my mobility, and my zest for life. Dr. O’Neill and his team gave that back to me and as I look ahead to retirement in a few days, I’m so grateful that I will be able to be an active, ALIVE participant in life. I was treating a 12-year-old neck problem with injections, but they became ineffective. My conditions became severe, and surgery was needed. I had severe neck pain, pain down both arms, and a huge loss of strength in my left arm. I am employed as a pilot, so the loss of strength in my left arm meant that my flying career was over. Dr. Wanderman assessed my problem, performed surgery, eliminated the pain and my arm strength returned. He made it possible for me to keep my job and get out of pain. To me, he is a Superhero! He is one of the kindest, smartest, and most professional doctors I have seen in my 63 years. He provides you with detailed information in a caring manner. Words can’t express the appreciation I have for Dr. Wanderman.

Dr. Coetzee is extraordinary! He has a unique combination of talents that are rarely found. Firstly, he is attentive, diligent, and kind. Then, he is skillful and an accomplished, academically inclined surgeon. He is also charming and a pleasure to be with. He is highly regarded by his surgeon and non-surgeon colleagues.

Dr. Michalik’s ablation procedure in my spinal lumbar was such a great success, and I can sleep at night for the first time in many, many years! I would recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Michalik for a consultation for the ablation procedure to anyone suffering from nerve pain.

I had my left knee done in February. I don’t think you could be treated any better! Dr. Peterson is a star and explained everything in a way a normal person could understand. Christine and Jenna in the office are the absolute nicest people you will ever meet. Molly the physician assistant is great too, I’m so glad I went to them! Christine is so well versed in her job. She is so thorough and dots every “I” and crosses every “T”. Thank you to the whole staff!

Last Summer I ended up having several surgeries on my back to alleviate a double herniation at my S1/L5. I happen to have a tattoo right where the incisions had to go. Dr. Garry Banks is a MASTER surgeon. You can barely see the scar, he didn’t cut right thru the tattoo and he got the herniation out too. I show everyone and brag about him. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Thank you to Dr. Barry for using your gifts to allow my son Isaiah to complete again and re-claim his identity as an athlete. You reconstructed his ACL in February 2021 and he went on to captain his football and wrestling team. He was able to play in 3 football games, going to state as a football team and individually for wrestling. The wins were wonderful but what was incredible was the joy he experienced by being able to compete again.

In June, Isaiah will join the United States Air Force Academy Class of 2021 to serve our country. Thank you again for making this possible.
