I had my second hip replaced by Dr. Arntson with the anterior approach. The surgery went really well. I was up and walking the same day and was released the next day. Within a few days, I was walking well on my own but kept a cane nearby just in case I needed it. I’m one month post-op and I am walking and biking miles with minimal pain. It’s much better than my first hip replacement. I had a lot of pain while in recovery from that one.

I saw Dr. Hoel for Spinal Stenosis. After my surgery, I had no more pain and felt terrific. I would highly recommend him.

My experience with Dr. Arntson was fantastic! The entire time they were with me couldn’t have been better. It was totally painless and everyone was extremely helpful. I have told many people about the positive experience I had with the whole situation. Keep up the great work! I remember the staff said, “we’ll take care of you” and they sure did. Thank you again!

I want to give a big shout out to all of the awesome people at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Vadnais Heights location! I have been seeing Angie Swanson, PT for knee and hip therapy. I have to say that I have never met a more professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable Physical Therapist. Thank you, Angie, for all your help, patience and giving me so much hope. The whole Vadnais Heights team is great!

I’m 7 weeks out from surgery. It was a rough couple of weeks to start but I feel life is beginning to return to normal. I reached a point pre-surgery of walking with a bad limp and doing stairs one at a time. I did very little exercise and always had a constant, low-level pain. Dr. Saterbak and her team did a great job. I’m beginning to walk normally, I can do stairs and I’m back on my bike. During the COVID year when elective surgery was not available, I had tried pills, creams, etc., hoping something would provide real relief. The cortisone shots in my knee were the only relief but they were temporary. I am a very satisfied customer!

I had my second surgery with Dr. David Anderson and, again, I’m back to full activities. I feel he is the best when it comes to care and communication on the process of surgery and recovery. Thanks for the great work!

My whole experience with TCO has been great. From the doctor visits before and after surgery, to physical therapy, the entire staff took an interest in me and my recovery. When it comes time to fix my other knee, I will be back! Thank you, Dr. O’Keefe and Dalton.

After seeing two different orthopedic surgeons with disappointing results, I decided to take the advice of family members and I went to see Dr. TJ Ridley on June 4th. He had state of the art equipment, he was knowledgeable and professional. I now have found someone that I trust. I live in rural Minnesota but it was worth the drive. Thank You, Dr. Ridley.

I went to see Dr. Hoel after two failed attempts of a cortisone spinal injection that was supposed to shrink the cyst in my spine. I was in a lot of pain and had numbness in both legs for about 3 months. Dr. Hoel performed surgery and removed the cyst, and I now am able to walk my dog again and be on my legs for more than 5 minutes. I feel like I have my life back. I received excellent care and he was very attentive to my problem and explained everything so I could understand it.

February 16th, 2020 was a date I’ll never forget. Before this date, I was a very active individual. I went to the gym every day and I was constantly outdoors, exploring new activities. I had just joined a Jiu Jitsu club for a few months and was so excited to learn more about the sport. However, on February 16th, 2020, I tore my ACL. I was devastated. In the summer of 2020, I was supposed to graduate from the physical and last portion of my degree; and of course I was not able to. Many people who know me know I am very hopeful and positive and that is how I remained. I hoped it wasn’t a tear, until I received confirmation from the doctors I fully tore my ACL. I lost all hope. I was mentally and physically defeated, thinking about doing the things I wouldn’t be able to do anymore…or at least not for a while.

Thankfully, I had the best care team I could ever ask for at Twin Cities Orthopedics. My surgeon was Dr. Heikes, with her team, Callie Tosney and Megan Armstrong PA-C. My physical therapist was Braidy Solie. Without these individuals, my hope would have been lost during 9 months of rehab. With them, I gained confidence and hope that one day I will do what I love again. Each of them provided me with guidance and reassurance that I could get through the journey. They reminded me how strong and fierce I am. They pushed me to do things I never thought I would be able to do again.

Today, I have graduated from school and have accepted a position in my dream job. I am back to doing the things I loved to do. I continue to push myself to try new things and give 100% on everything because, one day, it could all be gone just like it was February 16th, 2020. I will be forever grateful for my team and everything they’ve done to get me back to where I am today.
