I arrived at Dr. Andrew Arthur’s TCO office in the Spring of 2019 to be seen for severe pain in my left knee and the inability to walk for more than 10 minutes. I was diagnosed with multiple stress fractures and badly damaged knee cartilage. I knew my sporting future did not look bright. Dr. Arthur recommended paste graft cartilage regeneration for my knee. He carefully explained why this was an ideal option and my best hope to get back to triathlon competition.  I knew I was in excellent hands and agreed to follow his lead. Dr. Arthur reported that the procedure went better than we expected. The next step in the process included dedicating myself to physical therapy.

I closely followed every recommendation I was given for recovery and rehabilitation. Dr. Arthur and his team were profoundly helpful and supportive throughout my recovery, with consistent contact and multiple office checkups.  Two years post-surgery, I am pain free and racing again.  I recently finished Ironman Wisconsin, placing 6th out of 199 in my age group and 103^rd out of 1,746 overall.  Considering what my life was like before surgery and physical therapy, this is truly miraculous. I had been having pain in my right hip and left knee that was not subsiding. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Ryan for further evaluation. I am more than impressed with Dr. Ryan and her logical, pragmatic approach to determining not only the cause of the pain but also how to manage it going forward. She was very easy to talk to and offered a number of options for treatment. After the first appointment I felt like I have known Dr. Ryan for years. I cannot say enough about how good she is to work with and would highly recommend Dr. Ryan when seeking a solution to your knee and hip issues.

Dr. Michael Nemanich was patient and listened carefully to understand the issues I was having with my knees. He worked with me, informed me of the various options along the way, and allowed me to choose the path that I was most comfortable with. Ultimately, after trying other options, I went forward with knee replacement. Dr. Nemanich and his team were great to work with. They made me feel comfortable with the process and were very responsive when I had questions or concerns. I am now looking forward to enjoying my life to its fullest, once again!

After years of pain, I finally decided to look into knee surgery. A colleague referred me to Dr. Owen O’Neill and I am forever thankful that he did. Dr. O’Neill did a complete knee replacement for me and every aspect of it was professional and compassionate. Every appointment was on time, every communication from the team was excellent, and the surgery was such a success that I am going to have him correct my other knee. Dr. O’Neill not only changed my life but also my family’s lives. I am able to walk without pain and keep up with the family on vacations, and more. My overall attitude is so much better due to the lack of pain I had been experiencing for so many years. Do yourself a favor and stop putting the procedure off and take care of yourself with Dr. O’Neill. Your family will be glad you did.

I have been going to Dr. Holmes for years. He has given me cortisone shots, when necessary, for extreme pain on separate knees multiple times. I had one knee replaced 3 years ago and the other is now getting worse but we are trying to avoid surgery. Holmes is absolutely, hands-down the best shot giver I have ever encountered. He listens and provides alternative solutions with thorough explanations before we proceed. Even his assistant, Deanna, is top notch and a great listener. His sensitivity and shot-giving techniques are A+. It feels great! Wow!

I had pain in both of my knees and had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I finally called Dr. TJ Ridley. He provided a thorough examination and assessed my situation. He gave me injections in both knees and I haven’t had pain or soreness since! Thank you, Dr. Ridley, for your professionalism and knowledge. You are the best!!

Dr. Ridley is an excellent doctor because he listens to the patient. Dr. Ridley makes you feel as if he really cares. He’s not pretentious in the least. Both my wife and I go to him for the advice and help that we need. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ridley is very informative. He answered all of my questions and genuinely cares about my health. He has a positive attitude and appears to love what he does.

I am 5 weeks out from surgery and still recovering but TCO prepared me exceptionally well for surgery. My recovery has been intense but I was aware it would be work and I intend to continue to ensure my success. All staff at TCO, including Dr. Kelly, have been professional, knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend TCO. At 5 weeks out from surgery, I see improvements each day. I know 3 and 6 months out and a year from now, I will be satisfied. Be prepared to commit to your surgery and do the post-surgery work required to achieve success.

I want to give a big shout out to all of the awesome people at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Vadnais Heights location! I have been seeing Angie Swanson, PT for knee and hip therapy. I have to say that I have never met a more professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable Physical Therapist. Thank you, Angie, for all your help, patience and giving me so much hope.
