Since I first began treatment with Twin Cities Orthopedics, I have been impressed by the organization, especially the efficiency and professionalism of the people working at the TCO Edina. I want to recognize the doctors, nurses, and TCO staff involved in my knee replacement surgery on February 19, 2026, at the Two Twelve Surgery Center.

Dr. Anseth is simply outstanding! He is friendly, direct with his explanations, and has a wonderful bedside manner. Although I am unable to specifically remember the names of the surgical team members, what I do remember is all positive treatment from them. The radiologist, the assisting surgeon, and the nurses were all great and I appreciated their good work.

Finally, I want to specifically praise the work of the nurses connected to the EXCEL overnight patient suites. They are rock stars! Sarah, Kate, and Mary Beth did great work and made sure my short stay was memorable. They were extremely attentive to my needs but also made the experience “fun” with their pleasant conversation and humor. I am in no hurry to need another surgery done, but if I do, I want them taking care of me.

In summary, thank you TCO for the good work and positive experience.

I want to give a big thank you to Dr. Bircher and his entire team! The tremendous skill from Dr. Bircher was the foundation of my recovery. My recovery time was a fraction of our expectations because of his work and the amazing guidance from TCO’s physical therapy staff. I returned to playing pickleball seven weeks after having surgery on my second knee replacement surgery.

I am so happy to have found Dr. Vorlicky! I had a knee replacement with another provider outside of TCO. It never seemed to be getting better and the original surgeon said nothing was wrong. I asked my cousin who she had gone to for her knee replacement and she referred me to Dr. Vorlicky. When I went to see him, he said he knew exactly what was wrong. He operated on my knee and it made such a huge difference! 

Four months later, I am having him do my right knee. I am still healing but continue to feel better every day. Dr. Vorlicky is amazing and I would highly recommend him to anyone! In fact, he has also replaced my husband’s hip. He has no pain in his hip at all anymore. All of the staff at TCO and their surgery centers are the kindest and most helpful people. They are amazing at making you feel better!

The care I was given from Dr. Bircher’s team was excellent! I had a robotic total left knee replacement, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

I had my knee replacement surgery with Dr. Bircher. It went very well! I am having a great recovery with no issues. Dr. Bircher is a great physician. He truly listened to me and my needs. It meant a lot!

I first saw Dr. Bircher 3 1/2 years ago when I started experiencing pain in my right knee. He guided me through options. He said to come see him once I am unable to do the activities I want to do without pain. There was no pressure in deciding right away! When the time came, he X-rayed and confirmed I was ready to have my knee replaced. Dr. Bircher and his team were very helpful and responsive throughout the process. The surgery went great! I have already been golfing and hitting the gym consistently only 90 days after the surgery. If I have any further knee or hip needs, I know who I will be calling. I had both my knees replaced in 2023. It went great! I’m getting my left shoulder replacement surgery in March, then the right one replaced in July. I wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Peterson and his team at TCO Wyoming. I’ve been asking Jenna and Christine many questions and concerns. They’re so great and understanding! When you go through a serious thing like this, it’s reassuring to have someone so knowledgeable and kind. It really helps to make you feel relaxed. Every experience I’ve had at TCO Wyoming has been very good. I know other people including family members that have been there and they feel the same way. Over twelve years ago, I underwent a partial knee replacement at Twin Cities Orthopedics. Following the surgery, I regained the ability to engage in various physical activities, including golf, tennis, pickleball, and volleyball. The surgery had a profound impact on my life. In 2025, my other knee was causing significant limitations on my daily activities. Without knee replacement surgery, I encountered difficulties with stairs and even lifting my leg to get into a car. The doctor who had done my partial knee had retired and after finding online resources and friends, I went to Dr. Bircher for a consultation. During the consultation, Dr. Bircher provided me with a comprehensive diagnosis and recommended surgery. However, he refrained from pressuring me into a quick procedure. Instead, he offered me a detailed treatment plan and recovery timeline, assuring me that he would address the issue when I was ready.

I had the surgery in mid-November. Two and a half weeks later, I am walking without crutches or a walker, and most importantly without pain medication. Both the procedure and recovery process have undergone significant advancements since my partial knee replacement years ago. Dr. Bircher used robotics during the surgery to ensure the utmost precision. As someone with experience in aerospace manufacturing, the use of robotics made sense. Additionally, he recommended acquiring a pedaling machine for in-home recovery, which could potentially reduce my recovery time by up to 30%. While I do not recall specific details about my partial knee replacement, I can confidently say that it took over a month before I could pedal a stationary bike. With Dr. Bircher’s guidance, I began pedaling on my first day home. Dr. Bircher and his team are exceptional. If you are experiencing knee issues, I strongly recommend seeking treatment from his team.

In January, I completed my physical therapy and have begun returning to my normal activities. This mainly consists of playing weekly open gym volleyball and virtual reality pickleball at home. I have been playing long sessions in these sports with no issues. In addition to these incredible accomplishments, I spent five days last week in New Orleans where walking was always on uneven, broken, and sloped cobblestone sidewalks. When I say incredible accomplishments, that is not because I never thought I would play volleyball and pickleball again, but because I never thought I would be able to do this level of activity so soon! 

I do notice that standing for long periods of time, such as cooking, can cause my leg to feel a bit stiff. As soon as I start moving everything loosens back up after a few steps. Even when I was walking more than usual, the knee itself never hurt. I am still rebuilding the muscle tone for navigating stairs, especially when carrying any excess weight, but that is improving as well. Dr. Bircher and his team are exceptional. If you are experiencing knee issues, I strongly recommend seeking treatment from his team. Thank you to Dr. Bircher and his team who have helped me get a new lease on life.

Dr. Lewis is an excellent surgeon. He is very personable and truly cares about his patients. I had both knees done in a six-month timeframe with no issues. My recovery going well. I would recommend him to anybody who needs knee or hip surgery.

I had my first surgery performed by Dr. Saterbak when I was 21 after a downhill skiing mishap. The second surgery on my right knee was done almost two years later, when I decided wakeboarding with one repaired ACL was a good idea because that knee was braced. My surgery recoveries went well. I listened while in recovery and followed the directions of my amazing physical therapist. I am writing this because, 20 years after surgery, I run a 5k almost every day. I have not missed a day of working out in over three years. I don’t attribute all my success to Dr. Saterbak, but I know I would not be moving around with my two children the same way had I not found her all those years ago.
