I could be the poster “child.” My pain before my hip replacement was 9 on a 10-point scale. I was using a walker and could barely do daily tasks. Could find no pain relief. Dr. Owen O’Neill was able to fit me in sooner than normal. Everything about the protocol, the team, the pre-surgery instructions, the precautions to prevent infection or blood clots, the educational session and the strengthening exercises were extremely helpful. In the recovery room and back in the hospital room, my pain was at a 1 or 2—insignificant compared to before surgery. No opioids. I walked at the arboretum 6 days later (with walker), quit the walker after 11 days. Life is great. Although I’m not supposed to run long distance, I’m back at yoga and walking up to 4 miles daily. I would and have recommended Dr. O’Neill to others.

I had surgery on my right hip which was bone on bone and waited a little too long. For two years my wife and I planned a bucket list trip to Africa. If it wasn’t for Dr. Owen O’Neill and his group, I would never of been able to make the trip. Ten weeks after surgery I was able to fly, ride comfortably and enjoy a trip of a lifetime. Thank you.

Dr. Owen O’Neill did both of my hips, about 2 years apart. The results were amazing. I was out of the hospital within 24 hours. I used no prescription pain pills and no pills at all after 1 week. I am 79 and was walking normally after 3 weeks and running (singles tennis) after 2 months. There was no therapy besides walking.

Saved my life! It took other doctors 18 months to figure out why I was in pain 24/7. Finally one took x-rays and both hips were bone-on-bone. I went to Dr. Gulli and seeing how much pain I was in, he had me in for the first replacement in 5 days! That was April 10, 2018. My care was fabulous! I went back to work after 2.5 weeks and then had my second hip replaced May 15, 2018. Once again, I was back to work in 2.5 weeks! This weekend I am going dancing! The physical care and the emotional support from Dr. Gulli and Margaret Baranowski was wonderful. I truly have no pain and am better than before! I will never be able to thank them enough.

I picked Dr. Szalapski out of a phone book 18 years ago at 43 years old needing a hip replacement. He was professional and gave me all the information I didn’t want to hear! I lucked out and got the best results I could have hoped for! He has since replaced my other hip, a knee and most recently my shoulder. I love him and tell everyone I know to go to him! He doesn’t always tell you what you want to hear but honestly not his fault. I thank God I randomly picked him I’ve gotten the best results on all my surgeries and can honestly say I have no residual pain. His staff is awesome and I could not be happier and no I’m not related ha!

Being 53 and living an active lifestyle include hockey, hunting and a physically demanding job, I started to feel pain and loss of mobility in my left hip. A visit to a surgeon was in order. Upon leaving the consultation with a different doctor I felt like I was keeping him from something more important than me. That was not the case with Dr. Arntson. Upon leaving I knew he was going to be my surgeon. A total hip replacement was performed with the anterior approach. Amazing!! Within 8 weeks I was back to work doing my job delivering beer and ready for the fall hunting season not babying my new hip at all. I highly recommend Dr. Arntson and his staff so much that when my right side is to be replaced he will be performing the surgery.

Dr. Arntson was honest, informative and an excellent surgeon. He was clear in the objectives my partial knee replacement would achieve. He made no outlandish promises of a “fountain of youth.” I am relatively young at 53 years old and wanted a procedure that was viable to help me enjoy my work/recreational life but also allow flexibility if 15-20 years down the road if I needed more surgery.

The Dr. Arntson and staff are excellent with providing information you truly need and respecting the educational background you also possess (I worked in physical therapy 18 years and am currently Hospice RN). I am post-surgery day 3 and have not used any pain medications and have minimal swelling. Today was also my first day evaluated by TCO Physical Therapist Eric who is also eager to listen to my goals and questions following surgery. So far 6 stars out of 5!

I had my first hip replacement in August of 2017 and my second one done in June of 2018. Dr. Brian O’Neill is simply the best of the best. I had so much pain leading up to both surgeries and after both surgeries, I needed no pain meds other than Advil and Tylenol. Dr. O’Neill literally gives you your life back.

I had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Chris Meyer at Ridgeview Medical Center. I had an excellent experience and felt that I was well cared for throughout the process from Dr. Meyer’s physician’s assistant, to Dr. Meyer and his surgical team, and finally to the Ridgeview team post-surgery. I am an extremely satisfied customer!

Before surgery my hip was so painful I could not do anything without much pain. But now still every day I notice I am moving, turning, lifting, running upstairs and other movements. All I can do is smile because I remember for years these were movements I could not do that now I do without thinking about it and with NO PAIN. I am still doing my pt exercises and working up more and more strength on my bow flex and I feel better than I have in 15 or more years.
