My daughter is writing this for me, I’m 96 and fell and broke my hip. Dr Szalapski did a wonderful job. I’m back home now in my condo with no pain and healing really fast. The only bad part now is I have to use a cane now and then. I would send anyone to him.

I am a prime example of Dr. Szalapski’s excellent surgical skills, treatment and how well he replaced my right hip. He has also successfully surgically repaired my trigger index finger on my right hand. In addition, he is keeping my knee out of trouble because of arthritis. I met with Dr. Eggert to get a second opinion as to whether or not I needed to have another surgery to replace hardware that was put in my hip in June due to a fall. I was very impressed with Dr. Eggert. He studied all my x-rays, bone scans and reports from day one of my surgery. The Ortho Dr. I had seen previously did not look at any previous reports. Dr. Eggert spent over an hour explaining my options, showing my daughter and I the x-rays, and letting us know his opinion as to what was causing my pain. I would give Dr. Eggert a 10. 🙂

I had a right hip that was bothering me more and more over the past few months. Finally, I decided the pain was so bad something had to be done. My wife and I decided that, with over 13 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon and particularly doing total hip replacements, Dr. Steven Meisterling would be a great fit. After x-rays confirmed that my right hip had deteriorated severely, we were able to get an operation scheduled in a very timely manner. Amazing! Unbelievable! It is hard to find the words to describe my positive experience with Dr. O’Neill and my anterior hip replacement. For a few years, I called it a pulled muscle (and a few other things) until an x-ray revealed that it was my hip causing all the pain. I met with two hip surgeons, but was not willing to face a 4-8 week recovery as had many of my friends. My wife suggested that I talk with our neighbor Karen who, a few years ago, had this procedure done by Dr. O’Neill. After one conversation with her, I was convinced. Even though he was running late that day, my consultation with him was one of the most personal visits I have ever had with a physician. Within two months, I had the surgery. I spent one night in the hospital, went home to recover, and used 2 out of 50 pain pills. Day one, I used a walker. Day two, I used a cane. Day three, I was walking without assistance. I received a total hip replacement from Dr. Owen O’Neill. I put off doing the surgery for over a year and researched the procedure, both online and through meeting with other surgeons. At my first appointment with Dr. O’Neill, I set up my appointment to receive the surgery. He was informative, reassuring and very personable; I had no reservations on proceeding. After three years or so with a bad hip, I was referred to TCO and Dr. O’Neill. He and his team are exceptional.
