I had carpal tunnel surgery on February 20, 2024. From the very minute I arrived at the Blaine Orthopedic Surgery Center, the staff was so kind and respectful! Once I was admitted, the nurses were patient, funny, and so positive! Dr. Wetter treated me with great respect and answered all of my questions. The anesthesiologist was also very nice. The surgery went very smoothly and recovery was quick! I was given detailed instructions about what to do once I got home, and the nurse followed up with a phone call the next day answering my additional questions. The post-op appointment on March 11th went very well, too. Dr. Wetter took his time, telling me that the healing process was going very well. He’s very knowledgeable about this condition and the surgery required for it. Overall, I appreciated everything about the people involved throughout the surgical process. I would highly recommend Dr. Wetter to anyone going through carpal tunnel surgery!

I want to give an absolute huge shout out to Dr. Daniel Marek! He cut open my hand and drained infection that was causing serious pain requiring 6 days of hospitalization. He was absolutely amazing and extremely informative. Top notch service!

I saw Dr. Bhatt and I was very impressed (10 out of 10) with the care and knowledge she has in the hand and elbow area. She was easy to speak with and talked about my pain without using all of those big medical terms. I would highly recommend her.

I had multiple cat punctures/bites a few weeks ago. The infection got the best of me and I was admitted to M Health Fairview for bloodwork and IV antibiotics. After careful consideration, Dr. Koch decided I needed surgery to remediate the infection in my hand, as it was spreading into my tendons and joints. This was not something I ever imagined! She talked with me and made me a part of the decision. The surgery went fine and it turned out that it was necessary to have the surgery as the consequences could have been dire. I’m sure this was a very basic surgery for Dr. Koch, but she and her team were very thorough, mindful and compassionate from day one in the hospital to my last follow up appointment.

When I reflect on the experience overall, Dr. Koch comes to mind as an surgeon that I completely trusted throughout and would strongly encourage anyone to seek her out for care. I feel grateful to have been her patient. The healing journey continues. I still have the homemade “shorty” cast she fashioned for me before my surgery. I got very attached to it because it really helped with my pain.

Dr. Olmsted and his team, Matt and Kelli, are simply superlative. I have been a patient with them for ten years and have always been so pleased with their patient interaction, solicitousness, knowledge, and the explanation of the treatment plan. Dr. Olmsted combines adroit skill and experience to provide a salutary outcome. Thank you so much for all of this!

Dr. Bakker did my carpal tunnel revision. He was very professional and very kind. I appreciated the time he took with me and the care and concern that he showed. I am doing much better now thanks to his surgical skills.

Dr. Szalapski has been injecting my arthritic thumb for two years now. I thought I was going to have to give up golf and gardening but Dr. Szalapski encouraged me to try the injection. I was petrified to get a shot in a very small and sensitive joint but it was a very small price to pay for the reward of being able to get back to doing so many things that I enjoy. I can hardly believe that it’s now been over 3 years since Dr. Mark Fischer did my successful Carpal Tunnel Surgery. EMG results and clinical tests had confirmed my bilateral struggle was worthy of getting them both fixed, so I did both hands one month apart (but with 2 different surgeons). After knowing my 1st surgery’s struggle, I was so grateful that he didn’t put me under anesthesia for the surgery. I enjoyed being awake during the surgery with just the operable area isolated for surgery. I got to ask questions of him and the team and watch the screen during the surgery. Yes, some of us geeks love that stuff. I only regret that I hadn’t first met Dr. Fischer so both hands could have been successes.

I was suffering for quite a while from bursitis and thumb arthritis. I called Twin Cities Orthopedics who connected me with Dr. Fischer. He was wonderful. In a matter of minutes Dr. Fischer knew exactly what my problems were and how to fix them. I had heard horror stories for years about how painful cortisone shots were. That was not the case with Dr. Fischer. I was pain free within a day. He works miracles and I am so glad I found him. He specializes in hand and wrist areas but was kind enough to help me with both of my shoulders. What a wonderful and caring doctor.

I am from California and was visiting my son and his family in Woodbury, MN. I slipped on ice, fell and broke my wrist. I saw both Dr. Holmes and Dr. Karlstad at Twin Cities Orthopedics. I was very emotional to learn I needed surgery. The doctors, their nurses and office staff were so thorough, accommodating, and helpful. They were prepared to get me into surgery as soon as possible.
