Dr. Arntson replaced my left hip joint 5 months ago with very good results. Before the surgery I had a lot of pain and trouble walking more than 100 yards. I trusted him so much that I had him perform surgery on my right wrist for carpal tunnel 6 weeks ago. Both surgeries were successful. He is a caring professional in and out of the surgery suite. He is also a sharp dresser when not in scrubs.

I was in a car accident this past May that put me in the emergency room. I was found to have a broken scaphoid bone in my left hand (of course my dominant hand). The first opinion was “immediate surgery.” I sought a second opinion from Dr. Gesensway; he examined my x-rays and CT scan of my hand very carefully and discovered that the bones in my hand had auto-fused. Because the bones had auto-fused, the scaphoid was stabilized and could heal with assistance of a new ultra-sound device that would trigger blood flow to the bone to accelerate healing without surgery. I chose to use the device as instructed and IT WAS SUCCESSFUL. The bone has healed without surgery!

Dr. Laura Koch is the best in the business! She repaired my finger and my hand is fully functioning! No rehab or therapy was necessary, thank you Dr. Laura!

I was recently involved in a very bad motorcycle accident in which I was airlifted from the accident scene because of my severe injuries. The silver lining to this difficult time was the fact that I became a patient of Dr. David Gerlach. Dr. Gerlach performed multiple surgeries to repair my injuries and the results have been excellent! More importantly, I found Dr. Gerlach to be caring, genuine and extremely supportive throughout this process. I couldn’t think of a better hand surgeon to see under the circumstances. I would strongly recommend him to any person including family and friends.

I had surgery to repair ligament damage in my right thumb in December 2017 and as of April 2018, I am fully recovered and back to normal life activities. Dr. Bakker and his team are THE BEST! Without them I would not be where I am today in my recovery. The whole team was professional, courteous and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Dr. Bakker to anyone who is in need of a Hand Care doctor. You will not find a better doctor to put your trust in. Dr. Bakker was fantastic. I had been in pain for more than 10 years. Dr. Bakker got me in for both carpal tunnel surgeries very quickly. HE (not his nurse) called the day after each surgery to see how I was doing. I recommended him to a friend, and he went right in and now is pain free just like me.  Dr. Bakker is a fabulous doctor and I appreciate how he cares for his patients.  I would highly recommend him to everyone having any hand/arm pain.

Dr. Bakker is an amazingly skilled surgeon. He restored function to my right thumb, after not having a functioning thumb for 42 years! He is also a very personable doctor, which is sometimes not so common among orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Bakker is the only doctor in the world that I would go to for any upper extremity procedure.

I have been coming to TCO for my care and surgeries since 2001 and in addition, my ex-husband came here for 12 surgeries with various doctors. Dealing with different doctors and their respective care teams has made me appreciate Dr. McCarthy and her care team. Claire, her PA, Bonnie and Sue (hand therapists) and her care coordinator Susan are all fabulous! Susan is by far the best care coordinator I have worked with. Even though there are clinics closer to me, I choose to come to the TCO Edina clinic because of Dr. McCarthy and her team. I have referred many of my fellow colleagues and friends to Dr. McCarthy. I have even referred a stranger to her! If Dr. McCarthy is ever running behind, I tell people – wait, she is worth it! I am very, very happy with the care I have received here at TCO.
