I was referred to TCO by my primary care doctor and chiropractor. My leg and knee hurt so much, I could hardly walk. I saw Dr. Bircher at TCO and what a great surgeon he is. From my first visit to after surgery, he always explained what to expect with my total knee replacement. I am now three months after surgery and my knee is doing great. Dr. Bircher said there would be pain and there was! But now it is so much better. That is all in the past. Thank you, Dr. Bircher.

I had my surgery with Dr. O’Neill and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I was somewhat apprehensive because the replacement of my right knee with another surgeon did not go well. Knowing this, he answered all of my questions and calmed my fears. He was 100% right with everything he told me. Surgery went great and he came up to my room that evening to check on me, even though he was unsure if he would have time to stop by. His whole team was great. They were very thorough and caring. It’s been years since running without pain. This golf season I plan on walking the courses again! Thank you so much.

As I contemplated the prospect of a total knee replacement, I knew that I had to place my trust in the skillset of the surgeon. As patients we basically surrender to the process and hope for the best possible outcome. I decided on the surgery because my knee pain after exertion was limiting my ability to do the things I loved. My experience with Dr. Dieterle has proven to be transformational. I am 9 weeks post-surgery and my new knee is functioning at a high level. I am walking and biking for 1-2 hours is back in my routine. Now instead of my knee getting worse every day I feel it’s getting better each and every day. Dr. Dieterle is an expert. Do not hesitate to put your trust in him!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received at Twin Cities Orthopedics. From the reception staff, to the nurses, therapists and the great job Dr. Lewis did on my knee, it was a great experience overall. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else do my right knee surgery when I have that replaced. I would highly recommend TCO, and especially Dr. Lewis, to everyone I know who is looking to have any surgical procedure done.

These are the most wonderful doctor and nurses I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Arntson did my surgery and here I am, 5 weeks later, feeling like he gave me a new lease on life. I’m more active now than I have been in years. Dr. Arntson gave me my life back, as did the wonderful staff at the hospital, the clinic, and my physical therapist. Dr. Allan Hunt and his staff did a great job with my surgery and explaining everything to know before, during, and after surgery. Everyone was very friendly and professional. With every question I had, they answered it right away and made me feel so comfortable with surgery. I feel so great now and am glad they helped me through this process. I would highly recommend Dr. Hunt to anyone. They have a great team at TCO.

This experience has been what I was hoping for. After doing extensive research on most highly recommended surgeons for knee replacement, I was fortunate enough to get in to see Dr. Owen O’Neill at TCO. Everything was explained in detail, a class was offered, I was given support people to call with my pre-and post-surgery questions (and believe me I had many). The compassion, care, intelligence, skill, was unsurpassed and beyond my expectation. The physical therapy support at TCO was sensational. I had many concerns and they were addressed. I was encouraged and custom therapy sessions were given to me by their outstanding staff and reassurance that I was progressing was given.

An outstanding PT person at TCO Edina, was Kari. She knew when I was struggling, frustrated and encouraged me that the outcome would be worth it. It was. Few things I would recommend to others: wait to see a quality surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Owen O’Neill, and I am very particular and do my research. Rent an ice machine for after care. Do your physical therapy on schedule. Find ways to comfortably elevate your leg and sleep. Book all your physical therapy appointments with people that you are can relate to and understand you and are patient. Check with the doctor if you are concerned. I was skeptical if this was the right course of action and there is no doubt in my mind now, it was the best decision.

I had a left total knee surgery on November 8th at Two Twelve Medical Center. The pre-op and post-op care was absolutely amazing. Before surgery I was very well informed what was going to be done and what to expect. Post-surgery I have not had pain but just some tightness/stiffness, which is to be expected. I could not be happier with Dr. Meyer and the care I received. Six weeks after surgery, I was walking (no limping) and can do everything except running and play pickleball, which I will be starting again! Do as they say, and you will do fabulous. I could not be happier. Thank you Dr. Meyer, my Physical Therapy crew (Megan & Max), and the whole pre- and post-op care personnel. They are the best!

I had a left knee replacement in September 2020 and my right knee was done in September 2022. Both knee replacements were completed by Dr. Owen O’Neill. First of all, his team is exceptional! His care team called me at home to address questions I sent via email. His care coordinator, Ann, is the best in the business! They had fast replies to my  questions, even when I stated it wasn’t an emergency. After my left knee surgery, I was hitting golf balls in the garage after two months and golfing in Florida after three months. With my right knee, I am playing pickleball and golfing in the simulator after two months.

As those of you who have had knee replacements know, it’s a tough few weeks but it’s well worth it! Stick to your physical therapy. I doubled up on PT at home, going above what they advised, and bought a cheap stationary bike to improve my range of motion. I’m looking forward to walking 18 holes again in the summer. If you’re thinking of getting knee replacement, don’t wait! I can’t recommend Dr. O’Neill, Isabel and Ann enough! They’re the best. I should mention, I’ve seen some ugly scars when people have a knee replacement, but my scars are barely noticeable because Dr. O’Neil uses glue instead of staples. That’s just another reason to choose him!
